I can't give a real judgment on Francisco and his family: I basically didn't know them! They booked on the evening of December 24th. Arrived on the evening of the 27th and check in was smooth and hassle free. On the morning of the 28th I received a whatsapp in which he said that the house was cold, that the remote control batteries of the air conditioners were dead and, without even waiting for assistance, they disappeared, leaving the keys in the house and an open balcony. My house is well documented by the photos (spiral staircase included), the heating perfectly functional: gas radiators in every room, including the bathrooms, wood-burning fireplace and internet-connected air conditioners in all the rooms (they can be totally controlled remotely.. .and they were turned on by me on the morning of the 27th and never turned off again, I have the screenshots with the degrees present in the rooms). The weather was beautiful, lots of sun, the house was clean (thanks to the cleaning lady who also worked on Christmas day)...I'm sorry but never mind...the house is mine and I really like the spiral staircase ...since 1861!

Thanks for the nice review! Relax in contact with nature, healthy air, Mediterranean scents of long ago: these are the peculiarities offered by the Cilento National Park. "Il Canale 1861" is an old farmhouse ("magazzeno") restored preserving the peculiarities of the 1800s: in those days rural life was not very comfortable...for example the bathroom (pure euphemism) was outside the house and the swimming pool was a puddle where the animals drank. I believe and hope that some small sacrifices are negligible in order to spend a relaxing holiday back in time ...thanks so much :-)

Thank you for your review. In the country. it's hard not to have to deal with mosquitoes but we are working to reduce this annoying problem. Certainly we improve every day comforts for our guests: we love this land that deserves to be appreciated abroad.

Many thanks for the tips: - The internet provider has been changed: it is now more reliable; - It will be further improved reception service and enriched the minimum equipment and towels; - Unfortunately, the heating costs are due to the price of LPG gas in Campania and are calculated  according to consumption without bonuses from us.  Generally from April to December there is no need of heating, just a fireplace for cooler days of  autumn.
