Quiet cottage near Carcassonne pool

Visit Carcassonne, the city of two UNESCO rankings (medieval city and Canal du Midi) and the department of Aude since a very nice studio bungalow.
It consists of a large south facing room (large window overlooking large terraces), with kitchen and bathroom apart. You will be able to eat outside, possibly shelter.
This 35sqm apartment is tucked away in a large flower and beautifully wooded land located 9 km from Carcassonne. Bicycles are available.
You will remain a few hundred meters from a lovely village (trade, mail, tennis) with stunning views of Black Mountain and the Pyrenees.
Close to the Cathar castles, giant Cabrespine and village of the book (Montolieu) you will not miss exits opportunities.
The owners will be happy to advise you to fully enjoy your stay (itineraries, tours, wine, tips ...)

The apartment is particularly well oriented: morning, the trees keeps the sweetness of the night. From noon daylight roof protects from the sun and keeps the temperate house. A large covered terrace offers a privileged space for dining, reading or lounging.

The pool faces the studio and you will be practically reserved (we're just two). Solar shower, sun loungers are available.
You can park right next to the house in a reserved area.
The place is very quiet and pleasant.
By pursuing the path of Aragon small winding road will lead you to the foothills of the Black Mountains and the picturesque village of Aragon.
Several so-called Cathar castles (Lastours, Saissac ...) and abbeys (Villelongue Caunes Minervois ...) are less than a quarter of an hour.
The Canal du Midi, near, also allows unforgettable bike rides (canal bridges, ports, inns locks ...)

Wonderful Stay at Cottage in Ventenac- Cabarades

The most lovely stay in this beautiful little cottage in the foothills of Les Montagnes Noires. The cottage is spacious, well equipped and situated in a gorgeous garden which guests can enjoy- the highlight of which is a beautiful pool which is wonderful in hot weather! The pool is shared with the hosts, but we had lots of access and would always have the pool to ourselves. The cottage is also sheltered under the shade of trees which help to keep it cool even in high temperatures.The cottage is in a great location to explore the lovely Montagnes Noires and their great swimming lakes, cute historical French towns, the Canal du Midi and of course the medieval city of Carcassonne is just 15 minutes away, as is the airport. Our hosts, Norbert and Monique were really helpful with all aspects of the cottage and a fount of knowledge on the locality with great suggestions of places to visit - and the kindest hosts. Highly recommend - and we look forward to a return visit! Thank you!

Ein perfekter Urlaub

Ein besonderer Dank gilt den freundlichen Vermietern für ihre vielen Tipps zu Land und Leuten. Das Appartment liegt sehr ruhig aber nahe genug an vielen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Auto ist natürlich absolutes Muß. Es hat viel Platz zum Spielen und einen Salzwasserpool. Einen Hinweis trotzdem; es ist sehr geräumig, besteht aber aus 1 Zimmer, also Schlaf- Wohnraum incl Küche, Dusche und Toilette.

Un super séjour

Excellent séjour. Un studio agréable et fonctionnel. Des propriétaires discrets mais présents si besoin et prodigues de bons conseils pour découvrir la région. Et cerise sur le gâteau : une piscine rien que pour nous!

Warm onthaal door een heel vriendelijk koppel dat trots is op hun regio. Veel uitleg gekregen over de bezienswaardigheden. Het enige nadeel aan de gîte is dat het bed in de living staat en er geen apart toilet is.

Endroit situé au calme en campagne viticole mais très proche de la ville et permettant de rayonner dans un environnement riche en découvertes du pays cathare. Maison atypique très agréable pour 2 personnes avec des hôtes discrets mais disponibles et forts de propositions pour assurer un séjour très agréable.

We planned a relaxing springbreak and found an absolute nice spot nearby Carcassonne: a warm welcome, lots of information about the region, kind help with problems. Norbert and Monique made us feel very comfortable en encouraged us in discovering the region. A clean, comfortable house with a nice view. We recommend it strongly!

Quiet, studio/cottage convenient to Carcassonne.

The studio/cottage is tucked away in the beautiful grounds of Norbert and Monique’s home. Our hosts were very pleasant and hospitable without being intrusive. We had use of the pool at any time plus the use of the bicycles on site- great for cycling along the Canal du Midi. We hired a car from Carcassonne airport and went touring most days, guided by Norbert and Monique’s excellent local knowledge. The cottage is compact but spacious enough for 2 people comfortably and is clean and well equipped, with nice outdoor area as well. A car is necessary for getting around as there is very little public transport in this area, but the roads are good and very quiet in the rural areas. There are lots of interesting places to visit. A lovely, relaxing week and good weather as well.

Nous avons passé une semaine tres agréable chez Norbert et Monique qui sont charmants, à disposition tout en étant très respectueux de votre intimité Le studio était agréable l’endroit tranquille et plutot bien situé pour visiter les sites du nord de l’Aude , la proximité de la maison des propriétaires n’est pas gênante d’autant moins que nous avons été plus que bien accueillis Nous avons profité largement des conseils de nos hôtes sur les visites incontournables ( vous trouverez de la doc dans le gite c’est pratique) et leur connaissance sur l’histoire de la région notamment du canal du midi Je vous recommande ce gite que vous soyez seul ou en couple ( il s’agit d’un studio en piece unique avec un seul lit et pas de pièce d’eau séparée il y a donc forcément une certaine promiscuité)

Gîte calme

Lieu agréable, dans environnement calme, face au jardin arboré près de la maison du propriétaire. Surprise en découvrant le gîte! Vous pouvez sans problème communiquer avec votre conjoint sur les toilettes et vous préparant le repas. Il s'agit d'une pièce unique dans laquelle il est possible à la fois de manger(plaques électriques très lentes), dormir(matelas un peu trop mou), se laver et le reste malheureusement(pipi-caca). Vous l'avez compris il n'y a pas aucune porte. Ce qui n'enlève en rien la gentillesse du propriétaire.

Location agréable

Nous avons passé une semaine à 2 (sans enfant) dans cette location agréable qui bénéficie d’un environnement calme et paisible. Les propriétaires, particulièrement accueillants (mais pas envahissants !), nous ont fait profiter de leur connaissance et de leur amour de la région en nous conseillant sur notre programme de la semaine. En outre, un carnet mis à notre disposition regroupant les suggestions et appréciations des précédents locataires sur les lieux de visites, s’est aussi révélé très utile pour nous. Il ne nous est pas apparu pendant le séjour que des éléments du descriptif de la location étaient manquants. Au final nous avons passé un très bon séjour.

Location agréable dans un lieu calme et paisible. Contrairement au commentaire précédent nous avons trouvé dans ce pavillon l exactitude du descriptif proposé avec une piscine très propre car elle est nettoyée régulièrement, en plus les propriétaires sont vraiment très sympathiques , discrets et très accueillant ,ils mettent vraiment tout en oeuvre pour que vous passiez de bonnes et de belles vacances dans le beau pays de l Aude.

location calme et paisible, par contre descriptif de la location mensongère: les wc ne sont pas séparés, pas de sèche cheveux,pas de table à repasser,pas de dvd et magnétoscope. ELECTRICITE très précaire : prise qui vous reste dans les mains ,fils électriques qui sortent du mur !!! un méli mélo dans le branchement de la télé avec domino!!! très dangereux pour les enfants...Ménage plus que moyen (poussière derrière armoire et sous le lit...pas idéal pour les allergiques) Piscine très mal entretenue (araignée,feuilles).. Dommage car lieu agréable et propriétaires pas envahissants.
