**ALL of our houses remained high and dry through Irma! Beaufort is up and running and ready for business! COME ON DOWN!*** This is a precious little house built in the late 1940's. It has one king bedroom and one queen bedroom, sharing a totally renovated bathroom with a beautiful glass shower. There is a 40' HD flat panel tv in the living room, and another 32' in the den / laundry room. The dining room seats 6, and there is a full kitchen with all new stainless appliances. There is a full size front loading washer dryer in the den. We are trying to figure out the best way to screen them, but they are brand new and pretty nice looking, so until we have a better solution, they are being shown off! Consider it a quirk ...
The screened porch has upholstered seating for 4, and there is an outdoor patio and deck for dining al fresco! The huge fenced yard is filled with lovely old trees, nice and shady!
Since our FABULOUS Spanish Moss Rail Trail is just 4 houses away, we provide bikes and helmets and locks - and a detailed map showing additional 'back roads' to get you all over downtown and our wonderful historic district!
Our other houses are all downtown, but I think the serenity of this neighborhood will be much appreciated. Have a look at our other listings on VRBO to see what our guests think about the quality of our homes: #282865 and #326642.
This one is of the same quality, just in a different downtown neighborhood!

We looked for 7 years - up and down the east coast - for just the RIGHT spot to move as soon as our son went off to college. We always came back to Beaufort! Growing up in Florida, John and I spent 9 years in Houston then 23 in the DC Metro Area, where we raised our son, Ryan. It was the perfect place to raise him, but WAY too cold for us Floridians! When Ryan headed off to Syracuse (BURRRRR!) John sold his IT company and I told Marriott we were heading south. I continued to design hotels for a couple years, then we started buying our own properties and it has become a full time job renovating them and running them as Short Term Rentals. We meet the nicest guests and are having a great time! Ryan has since graduated and is a short drive away in much warmer Atlanta - and he now understands that you don't HAVE to be that COLD! Since moving here we have become very active in this wonderful community and even introduced a Dragon Boat Festival! We just had our 2nd annual DragonBoat Beaufort Race Day in late July, bringing 28 teams (about 600 people actually on the water - a couple thousand spectators) to our glorious waterfront park for a great day of competition and FUN for a very good cause. DragonBoat Beaufort supports cancer survivors and supporters locally, in individualized ways, all over Beaufort County. You can see a great video - thank you to the Beaufort International Film Festival - at the end of the listings in the URL section. WAY COOL!!!!! Anyway - we love Beaufort and can't wait for you to visit!

Lovely home and terrific back yard
Property exceeded our expectations in every respect. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, charming decor. Also, since we were traveling with our springer spaniel the fenced and very large back yard was terrific. Enjoyed both the proximity to the Spanish Moss trail and the walk, or bike ride, to downtown Beaufort. Restaurant and activities guidance was terrific, and spot on.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
We stayed here for our first trip to Beaufort and it had everything we could ask for in a "home away from home". The bed was very comfortable, kitchen was well equipped, location was close enough to downtown to walk (for us, since we are big walkers). Erica was very accommodating throughout the process. It was very cold during our stay. So, we didn't get to take advantage of the nice screened in porch, patio, and huge backyard. Maybe next time??? Overall, a great place and highly recommended.
Amazing & Warm Home with Great Location!!!
My family stayed here for my sons graduation from the Marines at Parris Island. When we got there it was late at night but the lights were on and relaxing music was playing, it was the most welcoming feeling ever!! The house is a great location and beautiful area, the house was adorable with an awesome screened in back porch, and the owners were great!! I would definitely recommend staying here and if we ever go back we would definitely stay again!!
As soon as I walked into the house, which was absolutely spotless, with classical music playing and tons of sunlight flooding through, I emailed Erica and said, "You may have to forcibly remove me." Every detail was attended to - from the beautiful landscaping out front to the little box of local chocolates and the very thorough binder of information to the stock of coffee and tea (even a little box of milk in the fridge). Many rentals are repositories of cast-off furniture, linens, dishes, and cookware. NOT HERE. All new Cuisinart cookware, full set of matching dishes and flatware, new washer & dryer, beautiful and comfortable furniture and incredible linens. (Seriously, I can't say enough about the linens! I need to know the secret of making them so bright-white and fluffy!) The bed was super comfy - I slept so well here! The huge yard was a big plus for my canine traveling companion, who ran and chased birds all day long while I watched from the comfy screened porch. The Spanish Moss Trail is just a few steps away and we thoroughly enjoyed exploring it. (Don't miss the four fun cruising bikes in the shed!) Turn left on the trail and there's a great vantage point for sunset over the water. Incredible. It truly was a perfect place to stay - I was very sad to leave and can't wait to come back. Thank you, thank you Erica and John for providing this property and restoring it so beautifully!
Great place to stay in Beaufort SC!
Better than any hotel in Beaufort. What a great place to get away to. Location was great to go places we wanted to visit. We arrived after dark and such warmth to be greeted with lights and romantic calming music. The interior is decorated with a home- felt cozy comfort. It felt like a honeymoon cottage. Enjoyed the chocolates from the Chocolate Tree. The outside was full of squirrels, birds, flowers, trees, great signs of God's creation. Everything we could need for daily use was there and easily located. Even the book on 365 days of civil war. Great water pressure and plenty of hot water. We felt very relaxed and comfortable. We had to get our sandwich fix at Alvin Ords. We would like to come back again and again. We would highly recommend others to enjoy this place of rest, a place of reflection on the goodness of our lives in the midst of such a mixed up world that we live in. Thank u for providing such a great memory for my heart.
Beautiful home. Well decorated. Large fenced backyard!
This was beyond my expectations! Very modern with plenty of room. Nice beds. Quiet neighborhood. Perfect for us with our 2 small dogs.
This little house is in Beaufort's prestigious Hermitage Neighborhood, just 4 houses from the Spanish Moss Rail Trail - currently 3.3 miles, eventually 13.6 miles - a 12 foot wide concrete trail on an abandoned rail line. It is a beautiful ride (or walk) to Battery Creek, the historic Depot, and all the way to Port Royal. It is also an easy back road bike ride to our historic district, the waterfront park, the grocery store, and all of the downtown restaurants and shops - and we provide the bikes! This is our first Short Term Rental outside the Historic District, and I think it will be very popular. We have spent months renovating this cute little house, and we love the neighborhood with it's beautiful trees and close proximity to everything! We are just blocks from the Technical College of the Lowcountry and Beaufort Memorial Hospital. Beaufort is a wonderful destination with a rich history surrounded on all sides by beautiful water. Our proximity to Charleston, Savannah, and Hilton Head makes it a convenient place to 'live' while exploring our beautiful lowcountry! *NOTE: ALL 3 OF OUR VRBO PROPERTIES ARE LEGAL SHORT TERM RENTALS IN THE CITY OF BEAUFORT, SC. WE HAVE BUSINESS LICENSES AND PAY ALL TAXES REQUIRED TO OPERATE THEM. ALL ARE CODE COMPLIANT, AND WE ARE ALLOWED TO RENT ALL OF THEM FOR A MINIMUM OF 2 NIGHTS. WE ADHERE TO THE MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY FOR EACH INDIVIDUAL PROPERTY.
