Thank you so much for coming to stay with us! We loved meeting you, and your thank you card was such a sweet touch. You all would be most welcome back anytime that we have space!
Burro Flats is a wonderful house. For my family of 11 it fit perfect and everyone had a great stay. My only recommendation would be to add more cooking utensils (pots/pans/sharp knives)
The home was perfect for our group of 7 adults celebrating 3 birthdays! Great location. Celeste was a wonderful host. Very kind and very helpful I definatley reccomend.

The house is lovely and Celeste and Nicholas are great hosts!
We rented the entire house for a family gathering and were very pleased. The house is beautiful and had plenty of room for the 13 of us. Celeste and Nicholas were so friendly and welcoming and were knowledgeable about the area. I highly recommend this property.

This family was warm, friendly and treated us as though we belonged! We really appreciate that kind of attitude! Plus it made us so happy to see them all, from grandkids to grandparents and every age in between, having a good time and making themselves at home!
This house was the perfect location for our trip to Bryce and Zion. Kanab also had a lot to offer and was beautiful. Our host was very helpful and friendly. The house was very large and could have easily accommodated 20 people. It was well stocked and comfortable. I would stay here again.
This was our second stay at Burro Flat. The home is ideally set up for large groups ( we had 5 couples). Abundant parking which was critical for our group as each couple had a truck and utility trailer and utv. Would highly recommend!
We had a group of 8 stay here a couple nights on our grand circle tour around the Grand Canyon. Highly recommend! Had everything we needed. Plenty of room for us to have our own space. Great location & setting. Great communication from the host. Book it!

Thank you so much for a great group! :-) Hope to see you again sometime soon
This home was beautiful, big, clean and in a perfect location. Owners went out of their way to make everyone feel at home and even had a welcome basket for us. They provided more amenities than I've ever experienced. I would definitely stay again.

It was delightful having such a warm, genuine and fun bunch here! And it’s so special that you’ve all stayed friends over the years! Thank you again, would love to see you come back someday :-)
I think I've lost count of the number of stays at Burro Flats with my large group. Each year we come to volunteer at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary and Celeste and Nicholas are the perfect hosts. Thank you for another great trip and we'll see you again next year!

Great for a large group
This is the third time our group has stayed with Celeste and Nicholas. We could not ask for anything more from the property and the hosts. I would highly recommend this home for a group who wants to stay together. The kitchen table and main living area is great for being able to socialize and enjoy each other's company. The rooms are beautifully furnished and comfortable. We'll see you again next year!

Another Great Trip
This is the second time our group has rented this beautiful home. Just as we experienced the first time, everything was perfect. We had a group of 8 adults volunteering at Best Friends Animal Society and we were very comfortable. The kitchen and bathrooms are well equipped; Celeste and Nicholas have thought of everything! Thank you both for another memorable trip. We'll see you again soon!

Nicholas & Celeste
This was the perfect home for our family of 9. We felt cozy and at home right away (we landed in Vegas at midnight and got into Kanab in the wee morning hours and there was coffee and bagels waiting for us). Celeste was an absolutely amazing host and was super helpful answering our questions about local attractions. We loved watching the donkies and humming birds. This home is the perfect location for day trips to Zion, Bryce and the north rim of the Grand Canyon. I would recommend this home (and this host) in a heartbeat! It’s a true gem!

Thank you so much to Sandy and family! We had a ton of fun with y’all being here! And if this is how sweet and fun you are traveling with a broken foot and a scooter, well…. : - D You’re truly a treasure!
From check in to check out our stay at Burro Flats was fantastic!! The house itself is gorgeous and is so inviting. We stayed at the house a week before Halloween, and they had decorated the house beautifully (and with such care!) with fall/Halloween decorations inside! From the house, the food suggestions, the care and consideration Nicholas and Celeste put into this stay… we are still talking about our time in Kanab!! We’ll be suggesting it to all our family/friends staying in Kanab and we can NOT wait to visit again!! And, of course, we loved saying good morning to their donkeys!!!

What an absolutely fantastic group! They were so kind, personable, appreciative and went above and beyond to make themselves welcome visitors.
I had a delightful conversation with Amory and her father during their stay; they are such fun and I was able to witness their enjoyment of life and one another spilling over into their enjoyment of your surroundings and adventures!
I hope that you, too, have the chance to host these wonderful people!

Great home; accommodating owners
Thank you to Celeste and Nicholas for a fabulous time with my group's trip to volunteer at Best Friends Animal Society. The owners were always available for our questions, the accommodations were great, and everyone enjoyed our time there. We all agree though that the best part were the animals, both domesticated and wild. We heard the coyotes howling at night and watched a wild pheasant make himself at home in the front yard. The burros in back were as cute as could be. I would highly recommend this property for a group stay . We will be back!!

Thank you so much, sweet Michele and all the ladies who came to stay with us! Keep on shining your light and doing good for the world; it is appreciated! :)
Our family of 6 adults and 5 children had more than enough room. It was a convenient location for our visits to Bryce Canyon, Zion and
Grand Canyon parks. The kitchen was well stocked with fresh fruits and bagels for our use. Celeste and Nicholas greeted us personally and showed us around the house and explained how to use all the appliances. Celeste even took the children out to meet and pet the burros. I would definitely recommend this house.
The rental was awesome! There were 8 of us. We had a ton of space individually and together. Both kids and adults enjoyed the video games and the pool table. Loved that four of the six bedrooms had their own bathrooms and there were two additional bathrooms, one each for the two bedrooms that didn't have their own bathrooms. Hiked every day and feel especially lucky that we won the Wave hike lottery on the first day we tried.

very good experience and value
Our entire family (16 people ages 3 months through 87 years) spent the Thanksgiving Holiday at this large home. We rode ATV's for two days on the sand and red-rock trails around Kanab and hiked in Zion National Park another day. The home was a comfortable size for all of us although 1 more bathroom would have been helpful for our large group. Celeste met us on our arrival and walked us through the home. She explained and showed where everything was and what the rules were.
Some minor things kept me from rating this a 5-star: a good set of knives, enough bowls for the entire group, and and extra blanket for each bed.

Thank you again for staying with us! And we appreciate your valuable feedback and suggestions. It was great meeting you all. It's good that we could make things work even though there were three more guests than our stated maximum of 13 and the reservation paperwork that was submitted stated that 12 guests would be arriving, so that is what we prepared for. We understand that sometimes things get a little hectic and discombobulated trying to coordinate large family get togethers :-)

Lovely and practical property
Loved our stay at this House. Well stocked with everything you need, all essentials like utensils, utensils, napkins, extra tp, games, bathroom shampoo and else, and more. The house is close to Kanab, a few miles to the heart of downtown. It is also 80 miles or less to Bryce Canyon, Zion, and the Grand Canyon. We were a group of 12 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The 5 bedrooms gave our group plenty of room to spread out. The house had a spacious living room to all get together with games, movies, music, dancing and opportunity to enjoy relaxation after a day of hiking. The beds were all very comfortable, the kitchen was well stocked and the bathrooms had lots of extras to make everyone feel at home.
On top of all that the owners Celeste and Nicholas were very friendly, giving us a great welcome, answering questions, and always there if we needed anything. I totally recommend this property for group of friends or family who want to enjoy the beautiful South Utah and North Arizona area.

Grand house, grand hosts, grand location
Full disclosure, I am in love with the burros so I saw Burro Flats through rose colored glasses. Seriously though, what a lovely place. I enjoyed the decor from the billiards room to the British Invasion room to the back patio! It was all very clean and well stocked. I liked the large shampoo, body wash ... Plenty of towels and extra blankets.
The hosts, Nicholas and Celeste were a very gracious and, might I add, interesting couple. As hosts, they were available but not hovering. I actually liked that they lived on site (on the lower of 3 floors) as I was alone on this leg of my trip.
I am already cooking up family re-union possibilities. The home is beautifully situated in a meadow with red rock cliffs nearby and the location is very convenient to Kanab and all of the parks. My favorite, Zion, is just half an hour away. Best Friends is just 15 minutes away.
I found it a warm and comfortable place to stay- a perfect option for a party of one or party of ten.

Best Little House (LOL) in Kanab
I think we were the first folks to stay in Celeste and Nicholas' home. It is wonderful, magical, and fun! You never know what you are going to find here....there are surprises around every corner. We stayed in the Cowboy room....we could have slept in a different room every night, but we didn't! We did relax on the futon in the loft on a couple of lazy afternoons. The only thing that would have made this trip better was if Nicholas had been there and cooked for us!
If you can get Celeste to take you to her yarn room, you will see an array of colors!! She is soooo talented! Both of them are sooo friendly and can tell you about great places to visit.
Our reason for coming back to Kanab was to volunteer at Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. You really have to drive up and see BFAS and the gorgeous land it sits upon. If you really want a treat, volunteer just for a morning or afternoon. They have dogs, cats, piggy's, bunnies, parrots, horses and much, much more. Best Friends also has tours that are free and will show you what great work they are doing!
Other things are the north rim of the Grand Canyon, Zion, Page, lots of gorgeous scenery in Utah and Arizona. Go to the Rocking V (get a reservation if it is during Grand Canyon season) and have lunch or dinner, you will have a blast.
So come to Kanab......you won't be sorry!! Come and visit the SECOND Biggest House in Kanab!

About the host
Hosted by Celeste Meyeres
Hi! We're Nicholas & Celeste Meyeres and we adore the Southwestern high desert, nature, wildlife and meeting new people!
Nicholas is our hospitality expert (before welcoming guests full-time in our home, he was a manager at both a top rated country club in Kansas for 6 years as well as the Hospitality Services manager for 10 years here locally)!
Celeste, whose nickname is Crickets, is founder, owner, designer and one-woman-knitter (she's created and sold thousands of scarves, throw blankets, etc. including a shawl for Stevie Nicks to wear on stage while on tour with Fleetwood Mac, for Disney, AMC, 30 Seconds to Mars, The Chosen series, etc)!
In 2013 we bought a huge 'mini mansion' on a wild 3 acres with nothing but open country and spacious views behind. We call it the 'Burro Flats High Desert Lodge.'
This home and location is so beautiful that it delights us when others enjoy it, too.
We live in the downstairs of the three level house (the 2nd largest in Kanab), with separate entry, kitchen, bathroom, et cetera, so you'll mainly only see us at check in and check out (when we welcome you and then when we say 'Bon voyage, see you next time!')
Why they chose this property
There is absolutely no other place like the southern Utah southwestern high desert. This area boasts honest, friendly people, breathtaking skies, colorful rock formations and unique and diverse plant and wild life. This is our home for life... and we invite you to make it your home during your stay with us!
What makes this property unique
We've both always dreamed of having a *huge* house with plenty of room for get-togethers on a private, uncrowded property space! As soon as we 'met' this house, we knew that it was perfect for us! We love sharing this once-in-a-lifetime find with others.
