About John Moeller and Barbara Hatch
We have been building custom homes for over 25 years in NM and have for many years enjoyed getting away to TorC for relaxation and the fabulous waters.
John Moeller and Barbara Hatch purchased this Cottage in 2007
Why John Moeller and Barbara Hatch chose Truth or Consequences
This casita is part of an historic group of buildings in the heart of downtown that at one time consisted of 13 units. We are in the process of renovating the units to become 6 luxurious homes-away-from-home.

Quiet and Comfy
Great location and newly remodeled, If your going to T or C for the hot springs, it is a great location.
We did enjoy our stay at the casita. It has been very nicely decorated. The king size bed was very comfortable!! Everything was there that we needed.
Always a pleasure.
Perfect in every way! Thank you!
The adobe casita was a quiet and luxurious place to stay. It’s in the heart of town but is very quiet with a private patio out back. The king sized bed was probably the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in at a condo rental. I loved the down comforter. The decor was lovely. The kitchen was stocked with everything I needed and more. It was nice to have laundry on site. All in all it was worth every penny. Loved it. Thank you!
Fantastic place to stay in torc
This place was perfect. We loved it and will stay again. Very clean with everything you could need available. Grocery store just a short walk away. Beautiful artwork. Extremely comfortable bed. Very comfortable, inviting, and relaxing space.
Truth or Consequences boasts some of the most fabulous hot springs around, with 10 spa facilities right in town. Originally named Hot Springs, the city changed its name to Truth or Consequences, the title of a popular NBC Radio program. In 1950, Ralph Edwards, the host of the radio quiz show Truth or Consequences, announced that he would air the program from the town that renamed itself after the show; Hot Springs won the honor. Edwards visited the town during the first weekend of May for the next 50 years. This event was called 'Fiesta' and included a beauty contest, a parade, and a stage show. The city still celebrates Fiesta each year during the first weekend of May. The parade generally features area celebrities such as the Hatch Chile Queen. Fiesta also features a dance in Ralph Edwards Park.
The Rio Grande runs right through town and in the summer, you can float the river on an inner tube or small raft to cool off. When the weather is a bit cooler, Turtleback Mountain offers a medium-difficulty hike and some spectacular views all the way to Elephant Butte Lake to the north and beyond.
