Bring your own toys or rent them on your way into town. There is a walking and riding trail that circles the property weaving in out and over old mining gullies and railroad cutout. A bridge was built out of trees on the property to cross over an old railroad gully.

Inside the home there is plenty of room to entertain with the open concept kitchen & living room. The bedrooms are especially large so families have plenty of room to themselves.

Less than a mile from Lake Cle Elum in one direction and Ronald in the other. There is a fun trailhead to the ridge and activity center across the street and 60 paces to the SE. Access to the snowmobile hill is also located here. .

You can walk the trail around your property or walk up to Roslyn Ridge, the trail head is directly across the street. Go fishing on the river, take a hike, sled, bike, shop, explore the unique shops and restaurants in Ronald, Roslyn and Cle Elum.

About Tyler and Emily Tachell

We are local Seattlites who love our over-the-mountain weekend getaways with our kids. We grew up spending seasonal weekends with friends who had cabins in Cle Elum, Lake Wenatchee, Chelan, Whidbey Island and spent family time camping all over Washington. We share the love of outdoor exploration, nature appreciation and the variety of activity offered by the great PNW. We have been married for 5 years and have two boys who are full of energy. We are looking forward to the fun in the years ahead.

Why Tyler and Emily Tachell chose Ronald

Finding a cabin in the Roslyn area has been a dream of ours for a long time and after 5 years of searching, we finally found our perfect match. We wanted a property that was close to the activity of town but also enabled us to access the lake & hiking trails with a short drive. This property sits in the middle of both! We wanted a place large enough to bring friends, make memories with the kids and share long weekends away with each other. We are also members to the Roslyn Ridge Activity Center (just a walk across the street & up the path) for swimming, tubbing, BBQ, tennis, volleyball from May to September. If you are familiar with the area, you already know the enticing draw of its colorful and rich history, the Old #3 (ride your sled straight to the door in the wintertime), The Brick, local breweries & hidden gems in between, the old mining trail hike, hundreds of miles of trails in the wilderness for motorized adventure, Cle Elum's bountiful array of shops & restaurants...the list goes on. Not to mention, the simple freshness of the mountain air. We couldn't have chosen a better spot.

We would love to see your pictures.

What makes this cabin unique

This house has multiple trails that circles the property. The trail weaves in around and over old mining gullies, goes up and down hills and deep in the woods. A bridge has been built out of fallen trees over a gully to pass over. The location of the home is where the old miners used to live in a small development of homes. Scattered in the woods of the property you can see some of their old remnants.

The property also has a large sledding hill right off the back patio. You can watch your kids sled while you sit on the back patio.

There are two fire pits. Front and back of the home so you can choose where you want to campfire.

Members and complete access to the Roslyn Ridge Community Center. Summertime you can use the swimming pool and all the amenities. Winter time you can use the park and access the very large coal mining hill which is a sledding landmark. The Roslyn Ridge Community Center is less than a 5 minute walk away.

A detached 900 square foot shop you can use to store your motorized toys.

The front yard is fenced in so pets can come and stay without getting away.

The bedrooms are very large allowing 8 beds total and sleeps up to 12. Also, if you don't have a large crowd, you don't feel crammed with too many beds.

Great Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

A group of friends and I rented this property to ring in the New Year and we could not have asked for anything better. The location was close to Seattle and had two small towns in close proximity for any additional food that we needed.

The house was large enough to sleep 6 adults comfortably.

Tyler and Emily were more than accommodating and were wonderful to work with. They allowed us to get into the house several hours early so we were able to watch the UW Bowl game!!

I would not hesitate to rent this property again!

Nice and spacious with a great yard

  • 4 of 5

We had a good time here although a lot of things weren’t working. The fire

Alarm went off every time someone had a shower, the freezer wouldn’t close, the dryer didn’t work and a few other things. However the hot tub and yard were great.

Owner's Response: Thanks, Anna. We’re really glad you had a good time! Of course, we are so sorry for the unfortunate timing of the failing dryer and fire alarm. We installed a new dryer today and since fire alarms get increasingly sensitive as they age, we replaced that as well to avoid false alarms with steam. We really appreciate your prompt feedback so we could make repairs in a timely manner before our next guest’s arrival. It is our goal to continually improve our home and create a fun experience for our guests. Thank you for your visit!

Cool cabin in the woods

  • 5 of 5

Nice place, plenty of space to sleep, modern enough for your needs. Secluded enough for privacy, great outdoor fire pit. Also close enough to Roslyn and Ronald for groceries and restaurants yet far enough away where you still feel like you are in the woods. I would rent again for sure.

Cozy and clean.

  • 4 of 5

The only reason it's a 4 star and not a 5 is because we like to cook a lot and there wasn't the greatest selection of cookware(large skillets, etc). Also, there wasn't enough dinner plates for 12(but there were other options so it wasn't a big deal) even though that's how many the cabin sleeps. Overall great place though!

Fantastic snowy getaway

  • 5 of 5

This is a wonderfully secluded and serene spot. PLENTY of room to stretch out in this clean and beautifully appointed cabin. Our kids LOVED the sledding hill, and my 9 year old son remarked "This is the best hotel ever!!". Owners were friendly and very responsive. Thanks!! -Timss Family

Family fun in the snow!

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic visit to the Cascade Den and can't wait to come back in the summer and next winter. The home was very comfortable with a lot of options for configuring kids and adults alike. The hot tub was fantastic after an exhausting day full of sledding and snow fun! The hosts were very accessible and helpful with any questions in advance and during our stay. All the little details are thought through, and we felt very welcomed and at home. The location can't be beat - secluded but within 10 minutes to the adorable Roslyn visit. Thanks so much, Emily and Tyler!
