Great relaxing getaway!
We came here for our mini honeymoon for some rest and relaxation after the wedding. Soaking in the outdoor tub looking at the water, soaking in the sun and sipping mimosas...just a perfect situation. Cabin has everything you would need for a cozy getaway.
Thanks for your review! We love honeymooners!

The cabins are very homey and comfortable. Absolutely no problems here. And they are well equipped with everything you need. Fascinating to watch the boats go out and come back, to mention nothing of the birds (bring a bird book and a pair of binoculars, although the binos are supplied!). Completely relaxing with that great view and a 10 minute walk to the Co-op for groceries. Hosts are welcoming and friendly, happy to chat with you. We'd recommend Anchors Away to anybody.
Thanks for your review! We do have an ample array of birds; a resident Blue Heron loves to hang out on our mooring log in our bay, Bald Eagles love our huge Maple tree & Alder trees, and we have lots of Kingfishers & Stellar Jays as well as Hummingbirds galore! Not to mention all the deer about town, and often right on our beach.
Nice little vacay.
The cabins were clean and cozy. Kitchen, although tight for space, was well equipped and the fridge was nicely stocked with breakfast goods. The bbq is a welcome addition to round out the kitchen. The bed was very comfortable. The tub on the deck is a nice relaxing feature as well. The hosts are very welcoming and pleasant. We loved the fact that they have a one time pet fee in which they donate to their local SPCA. The one drawback would be the boat repair place next door which had been loud well into the early hours on our first night (they do provide earplugs for this). Overall it is a quaint and private property in which we would stay again. Thanks to Marilyn and Lance.
Thanks for your review! The boat repair facility next door only works Monday-Friday 9:00-5:00; what you likely heard was one of the ice plants down the street that produce the salted ice for the holds of the ships prior to fishing, and they sometimes off-load the commercial boats when they come back with their catch and truck it away. They almost never work nights, but if a boat shows up that needs to be off-loaded then they will. An interesting fact: Ucluelet is the busiest fishing port in western Canada; busier than Vancouver or Steveston!
We liked the location, nice and quiet. The eagles in the trees out front were great.
The place was really clean! We like that the pet fee goes to the SPCA. We will be back!
Thanks for your review! The SPCA receives over $2,000 annually from us, well from our guests who bring pets actually. We also donate to them monthly from our personal account. Our dog Ty is from the Port Alberni SPCA and loves going back to visit the staff there when we drop off the pet fee donations!
We had a lovely stay in this quaint little cabin. Marilyn provided a lot of great recommendations for restaurants and activities in Ucluelet. The Wild Pacific Trail was awesome! We loved having access to a private beach on the property. The enclosed deck was wonderful for enjoying the view, observing the eagles play in the trees (right above you!), and taking a relaxing soak in the jet tub. It was perfect for our pup too because she could be outside with us without having to be on a tie out.
Unfortunately there are no screens on the windows. Mosquitos tend to love me so I had a bit of a problem with bites. If you have issues with bugs be prepared, but other than that I highly recommend it!
