I stayed here with my husband for our anniversary. It is a basic cabin with an amazing view. There was a bald eagle nest in a tree at the corner of the deck. The cabin is easy walking into Ukee. My only complaint was that it smelled strongly of musty dog when we arrived. We would definitely stay here again.
Beautiful area and easy access to so many trails and beaches. The cabin is right on the bay and seal lions were swimming past frequently! We saw humpback whales off the lighthouse trail by Ucluelet. We drove up the coast to Tofino and explored beaches and watched surfers along the way. The Shelter restaurant had the best seafood chowder and ling cod fish and chips ever! The drive over Vancouver Island to get to this area and back is great. The folks of this area were all so friendly and welcoming! We can't wait to come back!
My wife and I enjoy walking everywhere we go. It's a nice benefit to have a place to stay that is centrally located, and yet out of the flow of main traffic. It's on a nice side street, quiet and peaceful. We slept like the dead!!!
Our cabin was immaculate and well-appointed with everything we needed. It is small but the space is well arranged and efficient giving it a cozy feel.
Marilyn stayed in contact but respected our privacy.
Best of all the location is amazing. "Our seals and or sea lions" (we're still debating that!) swam by mornings and evenings. As well as a shy porpoise whose dorsal fin appeared daily. What a treat! Ucluelet has so much beauty and environmental knowledge for us to enjoy. Really hope we can return someday.
Absolutely loved our stay. It was everything my husband and I had in mind for a 4-day trip. Check-in communication was easy. Place was a very close walk to downtown Ucluelet where most of the restaurants, coffee, shops, and grocery store were located. Place itself is adorable and literally right on the water. We brought our kayaks and launched them right from the property before sunset. There were eagles in a tree above our cabin that we checked out each day with our binocs. Place itself was very private. The hosts were nearby and available if we needed anything, but we didn't end up needing anything because everything was perfect! (:
Our stay was great. Dog loved the large front deck (we did too) and the eagles constantly flying overhead were awesome. The cabin is small but has everything you need, including a surprisingly comfy bed. Nice quiet spot but still walkable to town, would absolutely stay again
Great location on the water, with eagles. Room was conveniently arranged. Rental felt isolated and private, even though it was very close to businesses we needed to get to.
This was an amazing place to stay and watch the water and all the activity from seals poking their heads out to boats going by of all shapes and sizes to birds flying overhead and landing.
Thisos my wife's and my second time staying here. W had stayed here 2 years ago andenjoyed it so much we chose to come back again. The view of the Ucluelet inket, the boats coming in and going out, the periodic sea lion - all great to see from the cabin. And it's close enough to walk into town or to drive to the many extremely scenic trails. We will be back again!
Brilliant ! In the jacuzzi watching the trawlers go by and a raccoon climbing the tree.
The cabin has everything you need. It is compact but this is all about location! Lance and Marilyn are great hosts. When we were cut off due to a wild fire we stayed an extra day .. no charge! What kindness!!
Super cool little house. Great view and getting to hear and see a bunch of wildlife while sitting outside was great. Will be back for sure the next time in Ukee.
We had a great time at Anchors Inn waterfront cabins. The jacuzzi soaker tub was such a nice feature! We were able to relax, sit back in it and watch the stars…very nice to come back to after a long day of exploring. We saw lots of wildlife sitting on the patio, including sea lions and some deer that wandered right through the property! Unfortunately when booking through VRBO, the pet policy isn’t as clear unless you go directly onto the Anchors Inn website. So we weren’t aware right away that we couldn’t leave the dog unattended, or the 100 dollar pet fine if hair is found on the furniture…which is hard to stop in a one bedroom cabin. So we were very very careful!
All in all we loved our stay and would return again, but just the two of us.

Tiny cabin, appropriate for a couple. There are 2 cabins on the property, very private, nicely landscaped, waterfront. Cabin is equipped with a gas barbecue, cooktop, small fridge, all you need. Walking distance to shops, marina, and trails.
The cottage was great-as advertised, bright, good location and CLEAN! We especially enjoyed sitting on the deck watching sea lions, seals, otters, fishing boats and tons of birds. We plan to return.
The pictures do not do this cabin justice, small but efficient. Perfect for a cozy little getaway, I would highly recommend for a couple needing a little getaway, very private and the host was very helpful.
A great getaway at a great cabin at a great location! My wife and I had to cancel our trip to Ucluelet and the Anchors Inn due to COVID-related U.S./Canadian border closure. So we were excited to be able to cross the border. And the Anchors Inn was a great place to stay. Friendly managers, great location, able to launch our kayaks from the cabin’s beach, awakenings by sea lions’ “barking”:, convenient to the many Ucluelet trails and the many other interesting things in the community, close by and a relatively close drive to Tofino! So much to see and do, and Anchors Inn is a great place to serve as your home base for a stay on the West Coast of Vancouver Island!😊👍
Great relaxing spot on the water. Hosts great to work with and very accommodating. lots of marine traffic right outside your window along with eagles and seals. Would definitely stay here again.
Docks near by were a bit noisy in the morning when trying to sleep in a bit but otherwise the cabin was cozy and the soaker tub was a great feature! Loved the gated deck for the dog. Would re-visit and recommend.
