A 20 minute drive to the Caribbean beaches of Tulum, Casita Milagros is located in a small private jungle community that is secured by a front entrance gate. Elevated among the trees in a high canopy jungle, this completely sustainable queen bedded room has windows on all sides bringing the outdoors in, and is equipped with a ceiling fan, mosquito netting and bathroom. It features an outdoor hot water shower surrounded by tropical plants to ensure privacy and an outdoor kitchen with a 2 burner gas stove top and sink.
The easily accessible rooftop is a beautiful place to watch the toucans and spider monkeys that often visit in the early evening. Twilight brings shades of deep blue to the jungle sky and a signal to mother nature that bedtime is near. Animals traversing the treetops in search of their nests provide a symphony of sound just before the spray of starlight quiets all.
After lounging on the white sand beaches, swimming in the turquoise blue ocean waters, visiting the Mayan ruins of Tulum or Coba, shopping in Tulum Centro, and exploring the nearby Mayan villages, Casita Milagros is a tranquil retreat.

Clayanna and her Casita are amazing! If you want to experience the jungle, this is the real deal!!!f
The drive alone to her place is worth the price! This is not a luxury hotel. It is paradise in the jungle!
Paradise in the jungle!!!
What an amazing discovery. We just stayed two perfect days at Casita Milagros, a true 'labor of love' deep in the heart of the jungles outside Tulum. To say this was a magical experience would not being doing it justice. The land, the casita and every attention to detail that went into creating this eco-friendly gem are breathtaking. The property is close enough to Tulum and Coba to take full advantage of all they have to offer, and as the other reviewers noted, Clayanna is the ultimate host, and a true inspiration.
There is a reason this property has nothing but 5 stars!!! Book now, get here, shut off your phones and re-connect with the universe!
Thank you so much! It is such a joy to be with people who appreciate living in cooperation with nature. Come back soon!
One of the most memorable and best experiences in all my travels.
Although I am afraid of spiders I only had one encounter with one in the casita (along with a caterpillar, and a few other unknown bugs). On a positive note they were not in the bed which by the way was so comfortable. Falling asleep on the comfortable bed with the windows wide open (all screened) and the sounds of the jungle at night was instant. And then I can't even describe the experience of waking up in the morning by all the birds, monkeys, and all other jungle creatures (checkout #casitamilagros on IG). The outdoor shower with hot water was a plus. The casita was a bit of a drive from town (15-20mins) but it was so worth it. And if you're not the camping type I would recommend you still try this and I promise you won't regret it. If Tulum wasn't filled with so many beautiful places to see I definitely would have sent more time in the treehouse.
An incredible way to experience the Yucatan jungle!
We will never forget our trip to the Yucatan and the amazing experience we had at Casa Milagros! If you can believe it, the home is more beautiful than the pictures here on-line! Make sure to ask Clayanna about the construction of the property as you'll appreciate even more it's beauty and design. Going to bed and waking up in the morning to the sounds of the living jungle was music to our ears. (The toucans have a distinct -and loud- song!) We slept soo peacefully! The home is off grid (running on solar power and harvesting of rain water) so leave your hair dryer and curling iron at home as they draw too much energy from the solar panels. Wifi is only available outside of the room. So sit on one of the hammocks by the fire pit if you need to get on-line. (Or just forget about the internet for a while and truly appreciate this part of the Mayan world...) The incense and wood chips (and keeping the bathroom door shut when not in use) negated any fragrance from the composting toilet. We brought bug spray - but didn't even need it. As we were fortunate enough to stay for 5 nights, we washed out our clothes and hung them to dry on the outside line. Clayanna is a gracious host - full of suggestions regarding her favorite cenotes (Gran), renting bikes at Coba, where to park when headed to the Tulum beaches, etc. Following the advice of others, we rented a car in Cancun; a must if you're going to stay at Casa Milagros. Just watch for the topes (speed bumps)! Thank you so much Clayanna for everything. We had an amazing trip!!!
A great jungle retreat
Clayanna's jungle tree house is a wonderful 'off the grid' escape from the busy beaches of Tulum. Clayanna is very accommodating and helpful in finding your way to her home and to give you suggestions of things to see in the area. You will need a car to get to and from her place, as it is several km from town and up a driveway through the jungle for a few more km. It is a great base to go to Coba and to visit several different cenotes in the area. Be prepared though for rustic conditions. The room itself is lovely with a beautiful bed, including a bug net, a comfy hanging chair and chest of drawers. The attached bathroom is clean but includes a composting toilet that can be a touch smelly. The shower is outside below the treehouse with very cool elephant leaves reaching above you. The kitchen area is actually outside beneath the walkway to the treehouse and it is very simplistic with a cooler and simple camp stove. Come with bug spray and make sure you walk to the end of the road to see the Tucans flying above and to visit the palapa with circus silks hanging down from the centre. We were very happy to have decided to stay for two nights!
Wonderful week in the jungle
We had a wonderful week long stay in the little jungle casita. It is situated on a beautiful piece of property that Clayanna has crafted very carefully and thoughtfully with nice decorations and the help of the jungle with huge elephant ear plants all around as well as a lot of other foliage. Everything is beautifully lit at night just like it looks in the pictures and the sounds of the jungle can be heard all day and night. We saw three monkeys cruise through the trees one evening and saw toucans as well which was awesome. The bed is comfy, and the shower is surprisingly hot and always refreshing to use after a day in Tulum. You are a 10 minute drive to the town of Tulum, and about a 20 minute drive to the center of the hotel beach strip. You are 25 minutes from Coba (rent bikes) which was a highlight of our trip, and if you go eat at El Cocodrilo. The town has lots of great food, we recommend La Malquierda, El Milagrito (Erik is an awesome guy and a great server), and any of the taqueria's serving the El Pastor tacos sliced off the shwarma style grill. You will definitely want to rent a car and we recommend SB Car Rental in Cancun as they gave us the best car rental experience we have ever had. Clayanna is a very sweet and caring host who makes sure her guests have everything they could possibly need and we could not recommend this wonderful place more.
