Jefferson Park Bungalow Rental Photos and Description

1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, Sleeps 4

Winter Special: November - February pay for three nights and get the fourth night free (if your stay spans different rates, the lower-priced night will be the free one)

One-bedroom standalone carriage house in the up-and-coming Jefferson Park neighborhood, which is exploding with development and a wealth of exciting new restaurants and nightlife. The neighborhood is developing rapidly, with two breweries, bars and restaurants, a large grocery. Great location, just blocks from I-25 for easy access north and south, and just across the bridge from the upscale Riverfront/Union Station areas of Denver. The A-Line commuter rail line now runs between the Denver Airport and Union Station in downtown Denver. Near the unit there are buses, B-Cycles, Cars-to-Go, Uber, even a rental-car location for easy access all around Denver.

Recent construction and all-new furniture, linens, housewares. Gas stove. Stylish decor and local art. Tall ceilings, up/down cellular blinds. Washer/dryer. Lots of storage space. Transom windows provide great light. Sleeper sofa. 60' TV with DirectTV. Huge deck with outdoor dining for six and a large chaise lounge. Festive dimmable string lights provide illumination and ambience for evenings on the deck. Motion-sensor lights on deck light your way home.

PETS: We will consider pets on a case-by-case basis but because we have experienced costly damages from pets we'll ask an additional damage deposit (which may be applied after booking if you use the automated booking option).

About Kirsten Liston

I moved to Breckenridge from Minneapolis in 1999 to enjoy skiing and mountain biking, then to the Denver area a few years later. I've been amazed at the rapid and exciting developments in Denver, with great restaurants, brewpubs, and new buildings and businesses going up everywhere, all built around an enlightened transportation plan. My wife and I own two ski rentals (Breckenridge and Winter Park), and when we realized what was beginning to happen in Denver we wanted to be part of it. We purchased our first Denver property in the Riverfront neighborhood (near Union Station) in 20012 and a second in 2013.

Kirsten Liston purchased this bungalow in 2014

Why Kirsten Liston chose Denver

After buying two Denver rental properties in 2012 and 2013, we were not planning to buy any more until we noticed this charming and unusual carriage house in Jefferson Park. Previously we were not even aware of this neighborhood despite its proximity to Riverfront, the Highlands, and many areas we visit frequently. There's something cozy and comforting about this place which feels as if it's up in the trees and in an old lived-in neighborhood, one that is rapidly evolving into a destination for dining and nightlife, with multiple neighborhood places within a short walk from the unit. I've enjoyed it so much I've delayed listing it for rent for most of a year, instead using it for myself as an occasional office, in-town getaway, a place watch movies or sports, or a home base to explore the neighborhood restaurants.

What makes this bungalow unique

Standalone means no walls to share with neighbors (though it is above some residential garages so occasionally you'll hear a door open or close). Great appliances and TV mean luxury living despite the modest size. Fantastic deck with trellises above adds another 200+ square footage. Location is a short drive or bicycle ride from Denver and the Highlands and also a short walk to numerous restaurants and taverns.

Perfect!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here with two adults and two small kids, and everything was perfect. We walked to the aquarium and Children's museum, very close to downtown and close to the highway if you're looking to go to the mountains or elsewhere. The unit was very clean and had everything we needed, and the parking space was plenty big enough for our large SUV :). We had a great time and would highly recommend this spot!

Awesome!!

Carriage House is an awesome property, super clean and close to everything you want to do in Denver. The owner's are incredibly gracious and accommodating. If you're going to Denver, and if it's available. Stay here!! We flew in for 2 nights. Sat was spent exploring DT Denver and Sun went to the Broncos game. Mile High Stadium is a 12 min walk. Perfect!

Excellent stay

  • 5 of 5

The location of this condo couldn't have been more convenient. Every place we went to in the city took less than fifteen minutes to get to. It's also close to the pathways to the mountains which open still more wonderful things to see and do. The city is a vibrant place to do many things. Art, culture, sports, eateries and loads of other activities for one to partake in.

The bungalow was a perfect fit for two people. It was well stocked, comfortable and attractively furnished - everything in it is new, of excellent quality and well thought out. As mentioned, parking is tight, but not a problem unless you have a large car or truck.

Great location in LoHi and everything you need for exploring Denver

  • 4 of 5

We rented this unit for two weeks in July. The property is nice, just right for 2 people. Furnishings are minimal but the space is quite adequate. The owners were helpful and very cooperative. Close to LoHi and Jefferson Park. We enjoyed having this space as a home base for the time we were there. There are lots of great restaurants close by and the park is right across the street.

The only downside to the property is parking. The reserved parking space is difficult to maneuver into. We have a small SUV (Subaru Forester) and the only easy way to get into the parking spot was to back in. A larger vehicle such as a van or a large SUV would find this parking space difficult to use. There is virtually no where else to park if you cannot park in this spot.

If you have or rent a small car, don't let the parking deter you! You will love this carriage house.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your kind words on the condo. And...oh no! I wish you would have mentioned your parking difficulties! We park an SUV in that space ourselves, and it's true it does require a turn (we'll post a photo in the ad, so future guests can preview the space). In addition to the dedicated parking space, there are three first-come, first-served guest parking spaces for the complex that are often open, along with a large nearby gravel parking lot where it can be possible to park. But it sounds like you had a good trip otherwise. Thanks again for your booking, and safe travels home.

Overall a fantastic place to stay!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed a few nights in February to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The location is perfect because it is close to everything: downtown, highway, shops, restaurants. We rented a car and would drive into Breckenridge to ski for the day, so the fact that this is so close to the highway was a big plus. The place was clean and well kept. We felt like we were at home in Denver. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you for having us in your home!
