One-bedroom standalone carriage house in the up-and-coming Jefferson Park neighborhood, which is exploding with development and a wealth of exciting new restaurants and nightlife. The neighborhood is developing rapidly, with two breweries, bars and restaurants, a large grocery. Great location, just blocks from I-25 for easy access north and south, and just across the bridge from the upscale Riverfront/Union Station areas of Denver. The A-Line commuter rail line now runs between the Denver Airport and Union Station in downtown Denver. Near the unit there are buses, B-Cycles, Cars-to-Go, Uber, even a rental-car location for easy access all around Denver.

NOTE: A recent HOA rule change requires a six-month minimum stay (up to 184 nights depending on which months).

Recent construction and all-new furniture, linens, housewares. Gas stove. Stylish decor and local art. Tall ceilings, up/down cellular blinds. Washer/dryer. Lots of storage space. Transom windows provide great light. Sleeper sofa. 60' TV with DirectTV. Huge deck with outdoor dining for six and a large chaise lounge. Festive dimmable string lights provide illumination and ambience for evenings on the deck. Motion-sensor lights on deck light your way home.

PETS: We will consider pets on a case-by-case basis but because we have experienced costly damages from pets we'll ask an additional damage deposit (which may be applied after booking if you use the automated booking option).

About Kirsten Liston

I moved to Breckenridge from Minneapolis in 1999 to enjoy skiing and mountain biking, then to the Denver area a few years later. I've been amazed at the rapid and exciting developments in Denver, with great restaurants, brewpubs, and new buildings and businesses going up everywhere, all built around an enlightened transportation plan. My wife and I own two ski rentals (Breckenridge and Winter Park), and when we realized what was beginning to happen in Denver we wanted to be part of it. We purchased our first Denver property in the Riverfront neighborhood (near Union Station) in 2012 and a second in 2013.

Why Kirsten Liston chose Denver

After buying two Denver rental properties in 2012 and 2013, we were not planning to buy any more until we noticed this charming and unusual carriage house in Jefferson Park. Previously we were not even aware of this neighborhood despite its proximity to Riverfront, the Highlands, and many areas we visit frequently. There's something cozy and comforting about this place which feels as if it's up in the trees and in an old lived-in neighborhood, one that is rapidly evolving into a destination for dining and nightlife, with multiple neighborhood places within a short walk from the unit.

What makes this bungalow unique

Standalone means no walls to share with neighbors (though it is above some residential garages so occasionally you'll hear a door open or close). Great appliances and TV mean luxury living despite the modest size. Fantastic deck with trellises above adds another 200+ square footage. Location is a short drive or bicycle ride from Denver and the Highlands and also a short walk to numerous restaurants and taverns.

Great private getaway with huge deck in a genuine walking neighborhood with easy access to all of Denver's best areas. Very close to Mile High Field (Broncos), children's museum, aquarium, I-25.

Denver Spring Break

The Carriage House provided everything that we were looking for in this up and coming neighborhood in Denver. It was a great space with a wonderful deck to enjoy the sunny afternoons. There was a great kitchen space, all we needed even though we ate out at nearby restaurants most of the time, that allowed us to cook whenever we felt like staying in. The bed and furniture was comfortable and there was more than enough room for the two of us and our son in college who stayed a couple of nights. The only thing that would have made our stay more comfortable would have been to have the bed higher off the ground. Thanks for the wonderful place to stay.

Clean, modern unit. Great location for walking everywhere

It was very easy to deal with Kirsten. She was super responsive. The unit was modern and very clean The neighborhood is still in transition but it was very convenient and quiet. Great coffee shop and restaurants very close. Perfect for a weekend away from the burbs.

Walking distance to the fabulous Mexican Restaurant Chili Verde and a quick 5 minutes to downtown. Comfortable and clean with kind hosts. What more could you ask for?

Great property in a great location

We used this place for visiting a friend and it was perfect. The location close to us and to town. The place is really nice and tidy. It worked well for us and any time we have visitors in town we will definitely rent it again!

Fantastic location, centrally located: 1/2 mile east is Elitch Gardens, REI, aquarium, children's museum, and just beyond that is the thriving Riverfront/Union Station neighborhood of Denver. 1/2 mile south is the Broncos' football stadium (Sports Authority Field at Mile High). Just to the north are the restaurants, bars, and shops of the Highlands. Just to the West is the scenic and growing Sloan's Lake area.
