I am so thankful Karen shares the Castle with others. It was such a peaceful and beautiful stay in nature. It was the perfect place for travelers with dogs. This is definitely a place I recommend others enjoy.

We loved our stay at the cottage; it was very peaceful and secluded yet still close to town. Karen the host was extremely helpful in giving suggestions for dinner and showing us around the property. We will definitely stay there again.

It was very relaxing place to stay with lots of history of the castle. Peaceful place with nature surrounding. I was able to find Crisco the wild goat at the nearby Table Rock Lake for a children's book I am writing and illustrating.

This place was absolutely gorgeous but this listing was very misleading. We were expecting to have the castle room along with the game room and everything to ourselves but to our surprise there was other people on the property staying as well. If you end up staying make sure you know you are sharing the place with others. Also we were told that no one could be in the game room passed 8pm. Like I said gorgeous place but too small for us and what we were expecting.

The castle was awesome! Karen was very pleasant and "not a Karen". She reached out hours before we arrived to give us instructions, then met us at the castle. The pictures that she posted don't do the castle justice and the story behind it is amazing. I would honestly give the castle better reviews than the best hotel you can find. Karen will tell you about the castle history and offer you to watch the documentary behind it. I recommend watching it! It truly explains why there is so much love for the castle.- Carolyn Smith

Lacey Michele’s Castle was absolutely beautiful and unique in the best way! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary here and made many special memories with our pup Winston. Karen is a great host and she works hard keeping the place clean / making sure your stay is comfortable. We highly recommend and will most definitely be back!

Great stay!

We enjoyed our stay. It snowed while there and made it magical. The property owner was very nice and told us of the history as we checked in. It was a great place to stay if you want to get away but also be close enough to a larger town if needed. We will stay again.

If you want a place away from the city lights, to be able to unload your worries and rejuvenate your soul, & still be close enough to local restaurants & shopping, this is just the place to do it! It is tranquil, peaceful, relaxing and you will have a hard time saying good-bye.

The castle is located just 1 mile off Hwy 65. You can stay here and walk the 5+ miles of hiking trails, grill, make s'mores and stargaze late into the night.

We are Dark Sky certified and on April 8, 2024 we will be in the total blackout zone for the solar eclipse!
