Quiet bungalow great for families
Room was nicely appointed, with items for a simple continental breakfast ready for us in the fridge. It was quiet at night with parking for your car in front of your room. We don't know San Marcos that well, but it was very close to most attractions. We walked to the tubing company down the road and took advantage of the 10% discount flier left with our room.
Thank you for your review! Our location in downtown New Braunfels is perfect walking distance to float the Comal River, to Schlitterbahn, and to all the downtown activities, restaurants, shopping, and night-life. And we are just a short 3.5 mile drive to the historic Gruene Hall. We hope you enjoyed your stay at the Comal Inn and your visit to New Braunfels. And we hope you choose to stay with us again on your next visit to our fun little town!
Best Getaway Ever!
We had absolutely the perfect getaway at the Comal Inn! The inn was charming, cozy, clean, and extremely comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast left for our stay (fresh pastries, fruit, cereal, and yogurt), and loved having our own (semi-private) porch. The inn is within walking distance of Schlitterbahn and several local restaurants (we loved Cancun Mexican Restaurant!). Julie and Brent were great hosts and we can’t wait for our next trip to New Braunfels!

The room was every bit as good as the photo. Our hosts were delightful and you could tell that they enjoy what they do. The breakfast items were spot on for our first day.

From the moment we entered, I could not stop "gushing" over our room and all of the wonderful little details that set it apart from a standard hotel room. Fresh flowers on the table along with breakfast pastries from a local bakery were among the special touches. My husband loved having the power strip on each side of the bed to plug in phone, tablets, etc. The fan and jacuzzi tub were also welcome additions. It was the PERFECT place to celebrate our 10 years together, and we look forward to returning.
Perfect get away!
Quaint and quiet. The pictures do not do it justice. The room was perfect! We enjoyed our long weekend so much We will only stay here when in town. Thank you Julie and Brent.
