Beach is calling. Make our Galvestonian condo your island retreat from the city! Galveston has so much to offer. Our privately owned galvestonianrental condo is managed only by us! A true Vacation Rental By Owner! Our goal is to provide a restful retreat to others in our island home as an alternative to hotels. When you are our guest, you step into our sandals. Our large 1 br condo has ocean-facing window walls, with private balconies off of living area and bedroom. King bed in bedroom with convertible queen sofa bed in living. At night, listen to the waves and watch the far off ship lights on the horizon from either balcony. Our kitchen is fully stocked and all cooking amenities are provided. Flat screen TVs in living area (smart tv) and bedroom. Free onsite wi-fi. Updated bathroom with a a walk in shower. All tile, no carpet. We provide all amenities, including towels and linens, shampoo, soap, etc.

The Galvestonian property is directly on the beach, not across a highway. Start your day with a morning walk and end the evening with a relaxing stroll on the beach.

- Complementary beach/pool towels are provided in the lobby.

- Galvestonian pool is heated for year round enjoyment and the jacuzzi/hot tub is always ready.

- Beachside picnic area/tables and bbq pits (be sure to reserve)

- No Excuse! Newly expanded exercise room includes full range of equipment from treadmills to barbells.

About Chelita Riley

After retiring to the Texas Hill Country near Johnson City, we cannot enjoy our beach home as often as we would like. In 2011 we began offering our galvestonianrental condo to guests when we are not able to make the trip. Our guests have been wonderful and it is a pleasure to share our island retreat. We update our condo annually based on suggestions from our guests and attempt to keep it fully stocked with all the necessities you would want if this was your island home.

Prior to retiring to the Texas Hill Country, we were Houstonians and made frequent trips to Galveston for our beach fix. Our Galvestonianrental condo was our weekend retreat. We have an exceptional in house staff that keeps the Galvestonian well maintained. Our 24X7 front desk personnel are friendly and always available to help. When you are our guests, you step into our sandals and will be treated as if you are us!

What makes this condo unique

It is all about the Beach! The views from our bedroom and living room balconies are exceptional. The glass walls facing the ocean provide a full tropical view from our condo's interior. Our unit is close to the elevator and is the 1st floor of condos which are actually the 3rd level of the building. You can see the pool, but we are not right over the pool. One of the few Galveston properties directly on the beach! We want you to take a break from hotel sameness and enjoy our beach getaway as much as we do! The beach is calling!

We also provide two beach chairs in our beach closet or you can rent chairs/umbrellas directly from the Galvestonian. It's all about the beach! And close to the strand, the Galvestonian property is secluded with a large beach but yet convenient to island activities, shopping and dining. Very convenient back to the mainland. The Galvestonian prides and promotes itself in being a premier property in Galveston. (We think it is THE PREMIER, but we have owned here for over 25 years, so might be a little biased!).

Perfect getaway spot!

For the first time, my husband and I decided to get away from the Seawall and take a chance on an east beach condo--The Galvestonian. I can't believe we missed this gem, this paradise, this perfect, quiet and secluded property!!! Cherita and her husband have the perfect rental condo--first floor, all the amenities you can imagine, and beautiful space and grounds. They think of everything to make a stay enjoyable, from extra necessities to suggestions for eating local. We will definitely be back--hopefully sooner rather than later.

Well maintained resort on beautiful east beach

Our family had wonderful weekend. The condo was lovely and well stocked with everything we could need/want for a beach weekend. There was a closet full of stuff to use at the beach (toys, chair/umbrella, boogie board) which my kids enjoyed. The staff at the Galvestonian were all extremely nice and the resort itself is located steps from the beach on the uncrowded east end of the island. Thank you Chelita!

Immaculately clean, Gorgeous View

I had a conference in Texas and decided to extend my stay for a long weekend in Galveston, a place I had never been. The Galvestonian is a lovely property, situated at the quiet end of Galveston, but very convenient to the non-quiet parts. The staff in the building were friendly and helpful. The apartment itself is clean and comfortable. The kitchen is very well stocked with pots and pans, dishes and utensils, and a pretty decent pantry of staples (spices, cooking spray, oil, vinegar, sugar, etc.). This is much appreciated as I wanted to cook while there but did not want to buy a bunch of staples. The bed is quite comfortable. No problems with internet or cable. Because the apartment is on the first floor (one floor above ground level) you are able to look out and see the green palm trees right at eye level with the sea shimmering in the near distance. The downside of that is that you will hear every conversation that happens below you on the deck and will smell the smokers taking their smoke break. Nothing is perfect, I suppose. Nevertheless, I enjoyed my stay a great deal and would rent this apartment again if I were going to Galveston. Communication with the owners was always quick, friendly, and helpful. Thank you for a restful weekend getaway.

My condo is no-smoking and the Galvestonian has strict policies regarding where smoking is allowed on the property... and it is not on the deck! Peach Beachy

The view from this condo is the same as if on a tropical island. Convenient and yet away enough from the crowds (Mardi Gras) for peace and quiet when we wanted. We definitely would stay here again and recommend this to friends. All good memories for this Oma and Granddaughter from Idaho.

Perfect

First off I wanted to say THANK YOU for notifying us that we could check in earlier if we wanted to, normally this does not happen. That alone was most unexpected but helped out tremendously on making our vacation plans!

Excellent location when staying in Galveston attending the Lone Star Motorcycle Rally. The ride going to & from Galveston is excellent! The condo was equipped with updated appliances, furnishing & was fully stocked with more than what we had expected. Both the living room & bedroom balcony's were equipped w/nice furnishing that you normally do not expect or see when renting for a few nights. The view was excellent at all times of the day & evening. The bedroom was spacious & comfortable as was the bathroom. Getting to the pool & beach were easy to access & very convenient. The beach was not crowded & you can walk long distances w/out bothering other people or families on their vacation.

We have actually already recommend this condo to several of our friends to stay in.

Yes, if I can accommodate an early arrival or late check out that doesn't conflict with other guests, I always do. This is often possible during the off season. We stock our condo with the amenities we would want if we were visiting. No trips to the drug store for forgotten items, plenty of soap, and we try to keep fresh coffee and basic kitchen spices. After all, it is YOUR vacation! We love repeat guests and their friends. Have a wonderful 2017 and hope you can visit again this year!

Great view and well organized

The view was better than we imagined and we really enjoyed a relaxing stay.

We were not fans of the window blinds, as we recently replaced similar blinds at home.

The location of the unit is also very convenient because it is close to the elevators and trash disposal. The unit was well furnished and organized.

The guest laundry facility at The Galvestonian was not very welcoming and half of the equipment was marked as being out of order, so we did not make use of that resource. Otherwise the property appeared well maintained and groomed and the staff was very friendly.

We would recommend this rental to others.

Owner's Response: April 2017 Update. We listen to our guests! We have replaced our vertical blinds with new professionally installed curtains, completed some updates in the unit (lighting, ceiling fan, trash disposal, etc) and the Galvestonian laundry facility and expanded exercise room is now complete! Brian, thank you very much for your review and comments. Agree about the blinds! Each year we evaluate changing them and then observe that our friends who have replaced with various systems find no better solution! We will look at again for this season. Problem is the expanse of the window walls. Interested in what you replaced with. Also agree about Galvestonian laundry facility. We had considered installing washer/dryer in one of our closets, but our Association voted last year on a $250k upgrade to our entire laundry facility that is scheduled to be completed this spring so that is on the horizon. I hope your travels hom were safe, but I think you left some of your cold weather with us. It was 15 degrees in the Texas Hill Country, where we live, this morning. Have a wonderful 2017! Chelita

Our Galvestonian privately-owned condominium rental by owner is located directly on East Beach, not across a highway. Secluded yet very close to the strand, art district, historical district, UTMB, cruise ships, ferry and Galveston restaurants and shopping. Excellent choice of restaurants, Galveston is perfect for music and art. Always check out The Grand for live performances. You will have plenty to do on the island, with easy access to the mainland for more touring; NASA Space Center, and Outlet Malls A perfect getaway for first-time or repeat Galveston visitors. Start the morning with a stroll on the beach, a dip in the beachfront heated pool or relax in the hot tub before you take in the island. Play tennis or work out at our in-house exercise facility. BBQ grills and picnic areas let you spend the weekend without leaving the property. Our condo is a beach-front large one bedroom deluxe with living room and bedroom balconies and window walls (not directly over the pool) with a full kitchen. This Galvestonian vacation rental is provided directly by the owner, not through the Galvestonian. Take an island vacation an hour from downtown Houston. Galveston is filled with incredible places to eat! Gumbo Bar, Rudy & Pacos, Shrimp and Stuff, Sunflower Cafe, Mosquito Grill, The Porch, Fisherman's Wharf, Olympic Grill... are just a few!
