About John Faccone

We live in Arizona and this is our future Retirement Condo. Not quite ready to live here part time or full time, so you can enjoy our condo for now.

John Faccone purchased this condo in 2015

Why John Faccone chose Quintana Roo

We have spent our life traveling the world. Europe, Australia, US, Canada and Mexico. If you are a beach person or just want to be where it is warm all year, this is the place. We started coming to Cancun in 1990 and have visited about every 2 years. In between trips we went to these other places, including Hawaii 10 times, and have never found anything better. We started venturing down the Mayan Riviera about 10 years ago and realized it was unique. We found the Tao Wellness Center online and last year booked our timeshare at the Bahia Principe Resort. We were instantly sold! You will not find a better combination of Residences, Beaches, Resort Environment and Golf anywhere. Try it out and let us know if you agree.

Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

I was hesitant to rent a condo in mexico, but all inclusive hotels made it impossible for my family of four to afford 7 days. Im glad to go with this condo! Affordable, clean and spacious. We fell inlove right when we walked in.The staff was amazing they were very helpful. They also arrange my car rental and car arrive in 3 hrs. We paid $65 a day insurance and tax included.

John please look forward seeing my request to rent your condo next year!

Thank you so much! I highly recommend this condo!

Beautiful and Peaceful

  • 5 of 5

This is the 2nd time Ive stayed at this property and loved it! Beautiful, Clean Condo with Awesome Amenities! Plenty of things to do nearby. I recommend renting a car and stopping by grocery store to have some snacks or food in case you get hungry. There are plenty of excellent restaurants around with many food and price choices. There are many tours and lovely places to see. The Beaches and the Water are the most Beautiful Ive ever seen! My <3 is here! Have Fun!

A++ Home is a flat out STUNNING resort location.

  • 5 of 5

Could not possibly be happier. The home is quite perfect for families, couples, or even a single looking for great comfortable luxury at a great price. The Tao residences are the PERFECT jungle hideaway and located within the Grand Bahia Principe Akumal resort which is just flat out one of the coolest areas ever.

Rent a car for the very best experience, the local cenotes, Xcaret theme parks, Mayan Ruins, and of course Playa Akumal beach which offers incredible snorkeling (we saw dozens of sea turtles, rays, and incredible sea life on the second largest reef in the world- easily accessed via very short swim from the beach).

The owner was easy to work with and the resort and residence staff at Tao and Grand Bahia Principe were top notch.

We will be back, period.

Quiet paradise!

  • 5 of 5

The condo was exactly as described and located in a quiet, picturesque community with access to many amenities and perks. Very well kept and comfortable for four. We found everything we needed here and really enjoyed the proximity to Tulum beaches and the cool beach clubs where we spent most of our time. Restaurants in Tulum are great as well. Day trips to Cenotes and Chichen Itza made this trip memorable!

Lovely, comfortable and handy

  • 5 of 5

We found rhe property to be clean and well maintained, and it looks as shown in photos. Rossina, the property mgr was a jewel. All communications & the check in went smoothly. It's very near the great restaurant and pools & yoga classes at Tao. It's also close to cenotes, ruins, shopping, beaches and anything else you like. We especially enjoyed snorkeling the lagoons & cenotes along Hwy 307 and having dinner in restaurants along Half Moon Bay - great seafood, mariachis and sunsets. We spent two days at Sian Ka'an and the lagoon float is great fun. It was all fun & I'd recommend it to anyone.

Amazing

  • 4 of 5

We traveled here with a preschooler and a toddler, so this review is from that perspective. We absolutely loved our week here and would come back again.

Pros: The condo was clean, resort was quiet, shower had great water pressure, filtered water provided, def enough kitchen equipment to make simple meals (even a blender we used for making a smoothie), shelves in the bathroom and storage elsewhere were really great for organizing belongings, resort staff was friendly, and loved having a washer and dryer. The patio was used as basically another room for breakfasts, quiet time for our preschooler, etc.

The access to the sister resorts' pool and beaches was great. You definitely need a map but we got it down pretty quickly. The pools and beaches were in great condition and we could have spent all week just checking these out.

Cons: We requested a pack & play and highchair. The highchair wasn't ever delivered which was semi-okay because our toddler can eat on a chair or on our laps but I would have been really frustrated if he was an infant. It seems like this was a one time situation so I don't think I would let that keep me from renting here. If you haven't ever dealt with a management company and owner before then that might be a little different, we have for our last couple vacations so it wasn't too surprising. John (the owner) is great, responds quickly, and helped me with travel tips. The management company was pretty good but didn't come by until we had been there for over 24 hours and of course they have limited hours unlike say a hotel front desk. Also, it seemed like the sister resorts didn't know quite what all was going on- we weren't really sure what pools/resorts we could use but no one stopped us from using the pools at the Coba resort. We bought drinks one day at the resort and the bartender didn't quite know what to think of us giving him cash. This definitely wasn't enough to bother us but just a heads up if you haven't ever stayed at a owner owned condo before.

Tips for the area: get your money changed into pesos. I think you can do it at the sister resorts' lobby if you don't get it done at the airport. There are SO many great restaurants to eat at in Tulum and along the beach but a lot of the little ones don't take credit cards. Definitely rent a car. We loved this location because we could do the pools or beaches but also drive into Tulum in the evening to eat and walk around. Loved this trip.

Owner's Response: Dear Holly...Thank you so much for your in-depth review. As we have discussed we try very hard to provide our guests with any special requests, like a high chair and crib, but sometimes they are just not available. Thankfully your child had a safe crib to sleep in. As you know our Management company was ready for your arrival, which by the way can be anytime after 4 PM on your check-in day. The security company always provides keys and access to our condo, at the time of your arrival, and the phone number and directions to our onsite property managers office is in our information. They are in their office 6 days per week. Finally, Ann and I have left very detailed information, in our Red Book, about what to do when you arrive and how it all works with the Resort. Their staff is very accommodating, but I too have had a few resort employees be slightly puzzled when I pay for drinks. Keep in mind that 99.9% of the guests are on an all inclusive package. I hope you will stay with us again and thank you for staying at our beautiful condo on the Riviera Mayan. John
