The holiday home was exactly as described. Lovely view from the balcony, especially on a clear day,the scenery was breathtaking. Close to the town, so you didn't need to be driving.,majority of pubs and restaurants are close buy, all serving excellent food, along with friendly service.. we would definitely go back. The host Sue, was very approachable, nothing was too much trouble ,would highly recommend this property
The house is lovely, gorgeous views over the estuary and the steam train. Very peaceful and quiet.Well equipped, clean and more spacious than we expected from the photos. Photo is view from the lovely balcony

A lovely place, well equipped, quiet and with a fantastic view. A home away from home. Recommended to everyone. The owner was friendly and kept in touch. We had an amazing week and can't wait to go back.
A lovely flat in a wonderfully peaceful location. The flat is pretty well appointed, and finding all the various shower gels and washing up stuff was a bit of a bonus. The beds are firm and very comfortable, with most of the furnishings being in good condition. The balcony is great, secluded but with a great view. Sue was very comunicative.
A nice property with a fantastic view over the Glaslyn estuary. A great base to explore the area. Plenty of public transport so you can park up and leave the car. The coastal scenery is fantastic with miles of golden sand, the heritage railways are on the doorstep if you want to have a change in pace. I was quite lucky with the weather but had a really comfortable stay in a lovely property.
A1 lovely thoughtful touches, the attention to details enhanced our stay. Stunning views and peaceful location, loving the sounds of the birds and gentle waves. Convenient location for all amenities. Train lovers paradise. Looking forward to returning very soon. 😊
It’s difficult to fault the house. Very clean, comfortable, great location near the harbor, stream railway, shops and pubs. Great view over the estuary. Kitchen well equipped. Sky TV. Wi-fi. Nice shower. Comfortable beds. What’s not to like?
Thoroughly enjoyed our time in Porthmadog and the surrounding areas - lots to do. The accommodation was very comfortable and pleasant to be in even when the weather was inclement because the view is amazing at any time. Thank you for a lovely stay. Would recommend.
Great place for exploring North Wales, with its location on the quay of Porthmadog, it offers spectacular views. Property itself is very well kept, with all required amenities.
Lovely comfortable house in a fantastic location, very easy to find. It's a great base to tour around North Wales although it was hard to tear ourselves away from the ever changing view. The sun shone for us and watching the full moon rising over the estuary at high tide was amazing. We couldn't have been happier and hope we can return next year. Thanks very much.

About the host

We are a retired couple who purchased the property as a coastal retreat for the whole family. We absolutely love the property for its spectacular views and its convenience to the shops, restaurants, bars etc. of Porthmadog. The entire family also love visiting the property.
Why they chose this property
The property sits in Snowdon Wharf on the Porthmadog Marina. Guests love the spectacular views over the estuary towards Portmeirion and Harlech castle and also the Ffestiniog Railway which runs along the cob. The property has all mod cons and is a comfortable place to stay (with SKY tv and WIFI). It is also a bird watchers paradise as the changing tide attracts various birds and wildlife throughout the day. Even on a cold, wintry, rainy day guests can still enjoy the breathtaking estuary views from the sofa (or bed) through the large patio doors. The property has been recently refurbished so the interior is very modern and fresh with a nautical edge! Porthmadog is a traditional welsh small market town with a traditional high street with butchers, deli's, coffee shops and various gift shops. It also enjoys three major supermarkets for your everyday products.
What makes this property unique
Breathtaking views Modern fresh nautical interior Great location for relaxing or for the many adrenaline experiences north Wales have to offer. Beautiful sandy beaches are only a 20 minute walk away and the rugged mountains of Snowdon are also only a short drive away. It really has something for everyone.
