The home sits on over an acre with open lots surrounding the property and lush, mature landscaping with plenty of privacy. During the winter, there is plenty of room for the kids to get out and play in the snow for hours! During the summer enjoy croquet, bocci ball, rolling around in the soft Kentucky bluegrass, and the abundance of flowering plants and fruit trees throughout the property There is also Wifi in the house, Bluetooth, Smart TVs, and DirectTV in both living areas.

The unique floor plan provides space and room for everyone. There are three levels in the home. On the main floor, windows and doors lead to the wrap around porch and surround the main floor living room and dining room, providing a view of the Tetons as well as the Grand Targhee Ski Resort mountains. The main level also hosts the kitchen, opening to the dining room, and a living room, bedroom (queen) and full bath. A propane fireplace in the living room provides great warmth and ambiance. On a river-rock area in the corner of the living room sits a wood burning fireplace that gives the downstairs living area a rustic, cabin-like feel. The top level of the home contains the master bedroom (king), full bath and large loft/sitting area with a twin bed and trundle bed overlooking the den. The kitchen is fully stocked, has a large pantry, and is and ready for entertaining. The garage also contains an extra refrigerator for storage. All bedrooms have closets and dressers so everyone can unpack and stay organized. The heated 3-car garage serves as a playroom housing a ping pong table, pool table, foosball table, and Bluetooth stereo. Perfect for the kids!

About Carol And Rod Christ

This home is our escape from real life in Houston! We fell in love with Teton Valley in 2007 while skiing with friends. We returned in the summer of 2008 and quickly realized that summers in Teton Valley were nothing more than Majestic. At that moment we decided this was the place for our second family home, and quickly purchased this property. We invite you to come and experience the "Magic" of Teton Valley, our families favorite place!

Carol And Rod Christ purchased this cabin in 2008

Why Carol And Rod Christ chose Driggs

This house screamed "Family" the minute we turned in to the drive. The lusciously soft bright green bluegrass, fluttering aspen leaves and blooming flowers were amazing. We loved that our boys could have a yard, their own private space downstairs, an exceptional game room in garage and endless mountain adventures. A place where lifetime memories are made.

What makes this cabin unique

While the house boasts private spaces for all, the most unique feature is the wonderfully spacious and naturally shaded lawn. There are many summers where we find ourselves doing nothing more than breathing crisp cool mountain air, while sitting in the Adirondacks under a very mature Aspen Grove. Come and see for yourself!

Excellent Value

  • 5 of 5

When my friend and I were planning a ski trip to Grand Targhee with three of our pre-teen children I started looking for places to stay. I looked into slope-side accommodations but found them either overpriced or fairly tight for 5 people from two families. I started looking into other options and quickly located the Wydaho home on VRBO. I was immediately attracted by size, rooms, amenities, and proximity to Targhee. With a quick date check and payment, the booking took me about 15 minutes all said and done.

The home was in excellent shape. Everything was in stated condition and all appliances functional. When we weren't skiing during the day, adults watched NFL play-offs upstairs and kids watched movies downstairs. Backyard hot tub was easy to use, in excellent condition, and was the perfect topper to what turned out to be near perfect ski days. The three car garage houses a game room where our three boys played pool, ping-pong, and foosball and there were enough rooms that our kids could have each chosen their own room (even though they didn't).

The home's location is well situated with a 15 min drive up to the mountain and a 10 min drive to Drigg's for a 15 min for shopping/restaurant options. With that said, the kitchen is a little tight if multiple home-cooked meals are what you're planning. It worked just fine for our needs with quick breakfasts before heading up to the hill and a simple take and bake pizza dinner. There's a couple good dinner options in town if that's more up your alley and Teton Thai worked out real well for us.

One of the things we weren't quite prepared for was the parking situation at Targhee. There is limited space, so on weekends, you want to make sure you get up to the hill by about 9:30 or it can be rough. For those who don't want to deal with that, there is a shuttle that can be caught nearby and costs $2. Fortunately, we were able to wrangle the boys and get them fed and dressed and didn't have any problems with timing on what will likely turn out to be one of the slope's busiest days of the year.

Owner's are thoughtful and committed to guests having a good experience. There was a personalized note as well as a bottle of wine waiting for us. There is an information brochure with all important house details as well as recreational/shopping/food tips in a brief and well thought out format. I communicated with brief texts letting them know when we arrived and upon leaving and both were answered quickly.

Owner's Response: What an accurate and informative review! So glad the house worked well for you guys. The kitchen is tight if you have lots of cooks in the kitchen. We call it the 2 fanny kitchen, and when we are there, I’m usually the head cook. No one is fighting to take over! It’s completely stocked for being on the smaller side. Glad the kids enjoyed the garage! Hope you used the heater in there. Please come again soon!!

Great house for ski vacation!

  • 5 of 5

The house was great for our ski trip. Enough room for all 6 of us plus a dog. The location was great being minutes from targhee and an hour from Jackson. The hot tub was nice to relieve sore muscles after skiing. Definitely recommend!

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this Driggs, ID home. The house was in a great location for Grand Teton and Yellowstone, was very clean, and rustically decorated. The appliances were modern and functioned perfectly. Communication from the owner / property manager was prompt and accurate. This was a great value for our family of 7 and we would definitely stay there again!
