This Tahoe Keys getaway is a beautiful and newly updated South Lake Tahoe vacation rental with room for eight. It's conveniently perched right on the Tahoe Keys and boasts water views and a clean, modern interior.
With unbeatable lake views, this two-level condo also has fabulous amenities such as a shared hot tub, pool, and more. You can easily explore Lake Tahoe up close by boat. Plus, you're only six miles from some of the best mountain skiing at Heavenly Mountain Resort.
The main living room area welcomes you with tall wood-beamed ceilings and a huge lakefront patio. Here, you can curl up before the gas fireplace and indulge in cable TV or a movie on DVD. Or, just socialize while streaming music over the WiFi.
For those who love to cook up a storm for the whole family, the newly updated kitchen will be a dream. Here, you're free to use the stainless steel appliances to make a feast to remember. You could even fix up dinner on the glass grill on the patio.
On the first floor along with the living and kitchen area, you'll find a room with a trundle-style twin bed, which would be great for kids. This level also has a sofa bed in the living room. The master bedroom is upstairs and features a king-size bed, access to the balcony, and a second flatscreen TV. Upstairs your guests will also find a second room with a king. Altogether, there's plenty of room for eight guests.
In the master bedroom, you'll find a luxurious private bathroom that also holds the washer and dryer for warming up your clothes after a day on the slopes. There's also a second full bathroom upstairs.
Lake Tahoe's South Shore is full of activities. Heavenly Mountain Resort is great for winter or summer. Nearby you'll find waterfront restaurants for a nice night out. You can even try your luck at the casinos just six miles away, across the state in Nevada.
While you're on the Tahoe Keys, you'll enjoy the expanse of canals and lagoons if you choose to rent a boat. In the summer, try hiking Mt. Tallac or the popular Rim Trail. And, you also have access to the shared hot tub, pool, and tennis courts (for a small fee).
Any time of year is a great opportunity for the whole family to visit Lake Tahoe and stay at the Tahoe Keys Waterfront with Dock!
Please note: Guests will have to obtain a parking pass at the clubhouse.
Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.
Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.
Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!
This is a beautiful little property in the Tahoe Keys, and we enjoyed our stay very much. The house right next to the lake, and the views were gorgeous. I would definitely come and stay here another time.
Some of the things that I did notice that could be better here are:
1. The red couch in the main living room , is fairly soft, and you kind of like fall into it. Would be nice to get the couch replaced
2. The two bath rooms on the first floor share only one tub closer. That means only one person can use the tub at a time, if they want to fill some hot water up.
3. There is no person to talk to if you have any problem or need something. It is just a vacasa service number that you need to call, and 9 times out of 10 it goes to voice mail. So if you need something immediately you may not be able to get a hold of the folks here. Having said that, I must say that the team always did get back to me, every time I left a voice mail.
4. The only negative experience I had was the checkin time was 4.00pm in the evening for me on a Monday, and 11.00 am in the morning on wednesday. I was travelling with my elderly parents and and requested for the checkin and checkout times to be changed a little so we could come an hour sooner and leave an hour later, but those changes could not be accomodated by the mgmt.
I look at the reviews for object information and details and hence sharing all of my thoughts equally objectively. At the end of the day loved the Tahoe Keys area, and really enjoyed our visit on this property in Tahoe
The description of the property and the location was very much to our satisfaction. The property was well maintain however the cleanliness needed improvement. There was quite a bit of debris under the sofa and very obvious when the sofa bed was pulled open. The upstairs balcony needed sweeping and had a large amount of spider webs.
Other than the needed improvements above, we enjoyed our overall stay and would rebook this location. I would alos recommend it to friends.
Good remodeling and updated of the apartment
The updated bathrooms are nice, except for the fact that the master bathroom only has a tub, which could easily have been a combo tub/shower instead. The updated kitchen is nice, as well. But the outdated and worn out furniture in all of the rooms was frustrating -- from the sofa to the lamps to the dressers.
However, none of this mattered to me or my wife since the hot water heater did not function in the unit! After several attempts to light the pilot light and heat the water were unsuccessful and after multiple attempts to contact the property management company during our first day were also unsuccessful, we reached our limit of patience. 18 hours after checking in we were finally able to talk to a real person at the property management company about our problems and an hour later we were "allowed" to relocate to another property nearby (but in a much less desirable location). Upon arrival at the second property, we discovered that it appeared to have been broken into, and obviously had not been checked on that day by a local employee since no one was scheduled to stay at the property.
In addition to the hot water heater problem with this particular condo unit, the owners have also installed some sort of kill switch on the furnace, which must be turned on in order for the thermostat to work properly. This is ridiculous, since all they have to do is have the cleaning people turn off the heating and a/c after cleaning the unit. Also, there were no instructions explaining this kill switch feature. We discovered it on our own because we needed heat in the evening.
Overall, this was a terrible experience that has taught us to always rent a property from a local owner or a local property management company, which we ended up doing on day two. And don't trust that a local phone number means they are a local company. This one is based in Portland, OR (from what I could gather).
