nice view of the lake
Grandkids and family had a lot of fun
Rented this house from Mike for a several day fishing trip for my sons and I. Beds were all comfortable and the place was clean. Place was great to stay at located in a great part of the lake for fishing and had a great marina (Big Bay) right down the road to launch my boat from. Mike was great with communication about and issues or concerns. We will be back again to stay here when spring fishing on Oneida Lake.
Perfect Relaxing Getaway!
My dad, myself, and my brother and his family stayed here for a weekend getaway. It was absolutely perfect! The house was everything we were looking for and so much more than we expected. The back yard was beautiful and we could go fishing or swimming right off the dock! The location was also perfect, nice neighbors and just far enough away from the "touristy" part of the lake but still close to everything you'd want to visit. It was such a peaceful and relaxing weekend that we would like to stay for a whole week next time! We can't thank Mike enough for his hospitality and lending his house to us for a great family bonding weekend.
Always a good time!
This was my 4th trip to this cottage and it was great as usual. The back deck is fantastic as well as the location on Big Bay. I do a guy's fishing trip here every year and we always have a good time. The owner does a great job keeping everything in working order and new tvs were a nice surprise this year. We can't wait to come back next year!
GREAT ACCOMEDATIONS - IDEAL LOCATION
We've stayed here the last two years on our annual fishing trip and had an awesome time. The house is immaculate with everything you need and more. It has a large dock with a boat lift. The master bedroom has a slider that overlooks the lake, pretty awesome. It is the perfect location on the lake for fishing with many species to fish for. We plan on returning next year. Thanks for a great time!
dream vacation spot for us
I was looking for a place at Oneida other than the campground which is where we stay each time. I wanted a memorable stay for my family and this cottage/home did not dissapoint. Mike and Becky have a jewel on oneida lake. Visitors should treat this place with the respect it deserves and follow all their rules regarding clean up. This is not a hotel so if you dont want to clean up after yourself, you should look elsewhere. The time we spent there was by far the most enjoyable, tranquil, relaxing, and exciting time w eexperienced in years. We brought up our own towels, pillows, kitchen supplies, etc. , but it was all there. I cant say enough about the smile my wife had the whole time we were there. The view is great, the neighbors were very nice and if you havent guessed it, we will be returning ( hopefully each year). Mike and Becky, thank you for such a great place. I would like to keep this place a secret and share with no one, but i guess i cant. Bottomline.... you will not be dissapointed!!!!
Thanks for the very nice review. They are all ways welcome. We strive to make the rental the best that we possibly can. we try to accommodate everyone, especially during the summer months, and because of this tight schedule, we really appreciate it when people leave the place clean and neat for the next visitors. It also keeps our costs down and we are able to offer you a great value for being on the water. Becky and I love repeat renters so we are excited that you want to becw/ us next year. FYI, we are planning some updates over the winter so the place will be looking sharp for 2014! Thanks again,
Mike & Becky
Oneida lake boasts some of the best year round fishing in NY State.
Ice fishing is very popular, and Walleye fishing is excellent. The
lake is 25 miles long and is great for all water sports and
snowmobiling. Sylvan Beach is located on the east side of the lake,
and has restaurants, shopping and an amusement park. There are many
parks, and waterfront taverns with dockage. Oneida lake is part of
the NY State Canal System, and if your adventurous, it is possible
to travel by boat to other rivers and lakes including Lake Ontario,
and the St. Lawrence river! Don't worry if it rains, Turning Stone
Casino is about 25 minutes away, and Syracuse is only 13 miles away.
Syracuse has numerous attractions such as the zoo, The dinosaur
barbacue, and shopping at the carousel mall.
