My family and I had a wonderful time at this cabin. There is ample amount of room for activities. The home had everything we needed, which made it very convenient and my kid had a wonderful time. Only thing I will notice is you definitely need all-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive to make it up the driveway to the home other than that it was a great experience.
There was so much to explore around the cabin, the kids, pets and adults thoroughly enjoyed our time there. We went into Prescott and explored there as well. The entire weekend was perfect! And the hosts were very accommodating and communicative.
The property was lovely and we had a great time. I would suggest that, while stating a need for AWD or 4WD was nice to know ahead of time, the need for these is due to the steep incline that the driveway has up the mountain side. Also I would update the check out procedures for taking out the trash because there were multiple dumpsters at the fire station but none of them had a thing to unlock a with a code like check out stated. They all required a key but we didn't know where or how to find any of the keys
We had a wonderful time at the cabin. Plenty of room for our party of 8. We really appreciated the spices and such in the kitchen. Would definitely book this cabin again

Thank you for visiting. We are so happy you enjoyed your time at our happy place.
We absolutely LOVED our stay here! Our two thirteen year old girls loved the open area out front to play all of their games and the dog loved chasing her ball and taking shaded naps on the front porch. We had everything we need and the inside of the cabin stayed nice and cool throughout the day. The area is great for Jeep rides, hikes and exploring and it’s so calm, quiet and peaceful at night. It felt like home away from home. Thank you, G Family!
If you are looking for a family friendly cabin this is it! Plenty of fun for kids. Plenty of relaxation for adults. We saw wildlife, enjoyed the outdoors but with the comforts of home.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! We hope to host you again. Cheers!
We had a lovely time with two families at this comfortable, rustic, and well equipped cabin. Great access to kid friendly trails and lots of fun things to do and explore. The porch is perfect, shaded and cozy with a swing, rocking chairs and a picnic table.
Great stay! The property backs the national forest and very private. Perfect spot for a family with children to play and explore the forest.
The house has all amenities needed and the owners are very responsive. We will definitely come back.

Great place for an escape from the daily grind
Perfect place to unload the car and not move for a weekend or a week!! The place is set up so all you need is food, there are basic items to cook with, spices, oil, etc. Sitting out on the huge deck during the monsoon rains was absolute nirvana. This place is a true value when it comes to price versus accommodation. We would stay there again.
Great getaway location to avoid the AZ desert heat
Took the family and the teens brought their friends. The location was perfect for peace and quiet along with easy access to the town and the lakes. We had a few challenges, but Rochelle was very responsive and accommodating. Great place to practice social distancing and avoiding the AZ desert heat.
I was looking for a place in the middle of the forest where we could just be a family by ourselves to play in the trees and run through the forest. That is what we got. Lots of hidden treasures out there too. It was a perfect, wonderful trip. (The driveway was part one of the adventure! ) 😁

We loved having you! Hopefully we will see you again soon.
Our family had a great time at the cabin. It is far enough from town but yet costco is but a few minutes away. How great is that. The cabin is fully furnished and it feels like you borrowed your friends cabin rather than a stripped down rental. It was cool enough in the cabin although the attic area does get warm in the day. I most enjoyed walking on the trails next to the cabin. What a great way to start the day with a hike. The kids enjoyed having a small contained fire ring on the porch as no open campfires are allowed due to the wildfire risk. The owner is super helpful with great suggestions and I reached out to her often. This is just a special place and we enjoyed it a lot and hope to come back soon.

I am sorry you didn't enjoy your stay. Had you communicated with me I would gladly addressed any issues you had. We've been hosting for almost a decade and are always available for our guests.
Perfect location, secluded in the woods, yet only 20 min to town.
This was such a nice escape from the heat of Phoenix in August! The location is amazing; Costco is about 20 min away, and Lynx Lake about 10 min. But once you are there you would never know you are that close to town. It’s very quiet, no noise from the road at all. We spent most of our time relaxing on the front porch, and got to watch it rain and hail on our second day. Amazing. The inside of the cabin was very comfortable, wide open floor plan with lots of room to move around. Sleeping arrangements provide lots of flexibility, and the 2nd bathroom was a convenient amenity.
Owner Rochelle was very responsive to all communication, and very accommodating. And her pet fee is one of the most reasonable ones we found in Northern Arizona. We would definitely stay here again.
The location in the woods was great and was as described in the listing. The house was large enough for a big family but note most of the sleeping areas are either in the loft (3 beds) or the basement (2 beds) and are set up for groups of kids rather than couples. There is one private bedroom with a Queen bed. The host Rochelle was very responsive to the few questions I had when we checked in. The only caution I would mention is the heat in the summer. The cabin does not have AC and the fans and one evap cooler in the living room was not sufficient to be comfortable on a July afternoon. I'm sure it will be cozy in the cooler months. Kitchen had everything we needed. Bathrooms were newer and clean with lots of towels.
As a native Phoenix dweller, I had no idea these Ponderosa Pines were so close... I always reserved that feel for the extreme Northern areas of the State. Only 8miles or so from the Town, so can still get into civilization when needed, but plenty of off-grid outdoor things to do if you enjoy hiking. Gotta love the fresh running water nearby.
phenomenal getaway! cozy and very quaint. definitely would visit again. just come prepared....you won't want to leave to get supplies!
owner has great communication should you have any questions! 🥰

About the host
Hosted by Rochelle Geryol
We are a family of 4 who own local restaurants in the Tempe area-we've worked hard to make it in a hard industry and feel blessed to have this place in Prescott. We consider it a joy and privilege to share this blessing with others.
Why they chose this property
After looking for several years this property came to our attention completely gutted and needing a remodel. We spent 6 weekends completely remodeling every inch, including installing a 1000 lb 30 foot long beam along with our family and friends. Every inch of the remodel was somehow touched by those who love us and knew we had dreamed of this place. We celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary with friends and family from across the US here as our first gathering after the remodel. That weekend was everything we hoped this place will represent for those who would visit. We hope all who walk thru the doors and explore the land will be just as blessed by the space and go out to find adventure.
What makes this property unique
Surrounded by national forest with hiking trails literally on the property, rock climbing just a few minutes walk away as well as the Walker Volunteer Station just down the road that holds events almost every weekend.
