Fantastic house with something for everyone!
What a find the Osage Schoolhouse is! You have to see the wonderful remodeling job to believe it! More than enough space for 20 people plus. Lots of areas for games of any kind and the house is outfitted with everything you need.
Lynda, the Site Manager could not have been more helpful and you need to find a reason to visit the Osage area and check out the school house!
A piece of heaven
Not many people think of Osage MN for a place for a honeymoon but we are glad we did. The Schoolhouse was a perfect place for a romantic off the grid week long honeymoon.
The location was perfect for us to go visit many beautiful lakes and parks all within a short distance from the Schoolhouse. The mornings and evenings made for peacfull meals on the patio. The kitchen was awesome for cooking with everything we needed to cook up whatever we felt like having that day.
The comforts of the Schoolhouse were many including very comfortable couches to catch a movie before bed on the 75" TV.
Thank you to John - Merrily and Lynda for a wonderful and memorable Honeymoon!

Great place for our gathering
We came from 5 different states and 3 generations to spend time together as a family and the schoolhouse was ideal. We found it very well appointed in every aspect. Lynda the manager was responsive to questions and needs as they arose during our stay. Spacious clean and comfortable the schoolhouse is a gem.
Family Get-together Spot
Our four-household, 15 member family had wonderful 3 night stay at the Osage Schoolhouse. The common rooms were comfortable and accommodating. The sleeping quarters were peaceful and allowed nappers to have a quiet spot as needed. We cooked all of our meals on site with the well-stocked kitchen. It felt so much more like a home than a vacation rental. A family bike-ride through Itasca state park was a highlight, despite some rain. The playground across the street kept the kids busy when it was dry while cards and youtube cosmic-kids yoga on the smart TV entertained them during the rain. Hope to be back again!
I booked for our group of 15 who go four-wheeling every year. Everyone was pleasantly surprised when they got there! This place is absolutely beautiful and very roomy!! The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need! Plenty of refrigerator space for a large group and plenty of beds! I'm sure we will be back!
Excellent Site for Extended Family Outing
We were well impressed with almost everything about the Osage Schoolhouse. Rooms are attractively painted with several chalkboards, a (well used by us!) checkers and chess table, three containers of children's toys, three davenports and one comfy chair, two computers and a large TV screen for family fun -- perfect for our evening sing-alongs. A well-stocked and attractive kitchen area for cooking, with dishwasher. Several dining tables. Three bathrooms upstairs, two downstairs. All furniture and bedspreads are high quality. Our only problem occurred when plumbing plugged up and we were unable to do laundry or use the master bathroom for the last three days. The manager was outstandingly friendly and helpful, even brought us cornstarch on Sunday so we could make family-style gravy with our meat, potatoes and veggie supper! We felt like - minus the laundry episode -- we experienced the best of Minnesota country hospitality.
