Spacious 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms home with large lake front yard
Here you can have it all: Stay within minutes of down town Bellevue, 15 minutes to Seattle and a short bike ride to Starbucks on Mercer Island: All while living the Lake Washington waterfront life…
Built with meticulous attention to traditional style, the brick and shingle exterior invite you into a home of elegant comfort. A large, fire warmed living room gives a view of both the front and lake side of the home. Over-sized windows maximize the natural light on both sides of the home. There is a second living room for TV viewing with a 60 inch flat screen and high end blue ray electronics. From Beethoven to Jimmy Hendrix, surround sound fills the home and you are welcome to the expansive music library. The third living room is a blended combination of fun and workouts: Lounge on the couches or play with the best kids escape of non-electronic toys where Thomas the Train meets Quadrilla; Or use the gym equipment for a cardio workout and weight session.
The kitchen is fully stocked with high end waterless cookware equipment and large counters for those holiday cinnamon rolls! There are also two ovens- one gas and one electric depending on your preference. A Miele dishwasher, Vitamix blender, microwave and large sub zero refrigerator are some of the basics to make your stay entertainment easy.
The upstairs master bedroom has a king bed, lots of closet space and an attached smaller bathroom with shower. Fall asleep with your expansive lake view and warming fireplace. Two other bedrooms have king and twin beds respectively and the fourth has twin trundle beds. All rooms have views of the manicured yard or lake.
There is a front loading washer and dryer with ironing facilities- and again a view of the lake!
This one of a kind home has it's own private bay on Lake Washington which is home to more bird-life than any other habited area on the lake. Bald eagles dive for fish while blue herons bide their time on the dock under the magnificent weeping willow. Canadian geese and many other water fowl flock to the sanctity of this bay. The tranquility is occasionally interrupted by the resident beaver as well as the otter and his family who have been seen to frolic on the lawn in the later afternoon sun... Our home has been aptly named "Otter's Cove" in honor of our fury friend.
While this is a spacious home with a large yard, we do not allow parties. Rather, privately, enjoy the panoramic views capturing sunrise to sunset.
Quiet kayaking at sunrise, peaceful lake walks, barbecue on the lawn and a 70 foot dock for evening cocktails awaits you providing the best waterfront vacationing has to offer. For a long or short getaway, this is sure to be one you will remember- and return to year after year.

About Pippa Carson
I am a Licensed real estate broker and REALTOR. When I'm not selling homes, I enjoy paddle boarding, hiking, mountain biking, good food and great wine. I always have a trip planned and love getting away to other magnificent parts of the world. I am originally from South Africa and after graduating from university I lived in Europe, Mexico and then here in the USA. In my early working years I did international government negotiations which was the foundation of her adventurous and successful sales career. I look forward to hosting you at Otter's Cove- your home away from home!

Why Pippa Carson chose Newport
As a real estate broker I see many magnificent homes every month. We weren't actively looking to move, but Otter's Cove caught me by surprise. I fell in love with the home and just couldn't let it go! I love the casual park like setting that was so incredibly private with the raw beauty of the lake lapping at the water's edge. It's unusual to find a waterfront home this close to the city metropolis that is as wild and natural in it's vegetation, birdlife and animal life. The neighborhood “whispers”, instead of shouts the value of casual gracious living… in city resort where you can vacation where you stay… Simply, a legacy neighborhood… All of this in a private and secure destination close to the downtown Bellevue and Seattle vibe of shopping, restaurants and metropolitan opportunities-Microsoft, Google, Amazon….yet as you enter the neighborhood somehow you know the” Cleavers” live here… where sugar is still borrowed , block parties are legend and Fourth of July is the most memorable celebration of the year… The value of location…and a five minute commute… I just had to have it!
What makes this House unique
Being on the Lake is truly special especially when the resident beaver comes out to play. The home itself also offers a warm welcome with everything we think you might need. This should be a trip to remember!

Beautiful home in great location
This lovely Bellevue home is unique and comfortable. It would have easily accommodated a large family. We were only four. The kitchen is large and well equipped and back yard on the lake was enjoyable for gathering in the evening. It is also well located in a quiet suburban neighborhood, close to the freeway for trips to Seattle, but not in walking distance of shops or restaurants. The beds are very comfortable and everything was in good working condition. We enjoyed our stay here very much.
