BLISS is a 5 room Romantic Suite in Blissful Bungalow, a historically restored 1920's bungalow. This suite/apartment includes a private entrance, one bedroom with queen sized bed, a full bath with large tiled shower, dining room, living room with wood burning stove,full gourmet kitchen, with a private large mahogany screened porch. Nestled in the farmland of West Cape May, BLISS is a secluded getaway for 2, overlooking The Vineyards of Willow Creek Winery. BLISS is also across the street from the World Renowned Premier Bird watching site called "The Beanery" and is also a short walk from The 229 acre Nature Conservancy's South Cape May Migratory Bird Refuge. 2/10 of a mile walk to Beach Plum Farm Also, enjoy shared use of a gorgeous, secluded in ground pool, heated jacuzzi, grill, hammock and outdoor shower with both hot and cold water. Also in the area (3/4 of a mile) will be Shore House Canna, the first legalized marijuana dispensary in Cape May County!!! (Opening Sept ‘23).

Romantic weekend getaway

Loved this property. So cozy and private. It was a perfect weekend getaway for my husband and I. Pool and hot tub were delightful. Dinner at the vineyard was amazing. Easy access to beach, town and state park. Host was attentive and accessible. Would highly recommend this property and will be visited again soon.

Amazing and peaceful stay

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Bliss. The place is so well decorated that you feel right at home. The kitchen is very well equipped and we cooked a super delicious meal. Nice garden, relaxing patio and beautiful swimming pool to cool off in. We also liked the location as it was close to the beach and downtown, but a bit more quieter. You can also walk to winery or Beach Plum farm. Overall one of the best places we every stayed at!

The property is the quiet area of Cape May but close to beach, next to winery & places to eat. Our hostess was super welcoming and friendly. I love, love how the home is decorated. The outside porch was tranquil, pool small but perfectly sunny and it was a great time for rest and relaxing!

This is our 2nd stay and we just cannot love the location, the place or our host enough! Where can you get a place with a full kitchen, grill, screened-in porch and private pool for this value! Susan is lovely and will give you your space yet is there for anything you need. This is the best kept gem in WCM.

Relaxing get away

The host Susan made sure everything was perfect and we were comfortable. Our bed was comfortable, shower had good water pressure, plenty of towels, shampoo, etc. The kitchen was well equipped. We loved sitting on the screened in porch. It was a 5 minute drive to the beach and sunset beach. The pool was a plus, refreshing and very clean. We booked another stay for August. Bliss is the perfect name for this property .

A perfect home for a couple. Everything about it is - “Bliss"! This special property has a screen porch that overlooks a vineyard , is close to the beach (and many other activities), and you can walk or bike ride to Beach Plum Farm for breakfast or lunch, The property is spotless, has a pool with a jacuzzi , a gourmet kitchen (fully stocked), and is adorably decorated. Susan the owner is also special and takes care of all of your needs.

Private, Quiet and yet close to everything -

Susan, although not there personally during our stay was the most wonderful host. You can tell she takes pride and care in making sure YOU are taken care of. The place is beyond stocked with all your cooking needs (including a gas grill by the pool). The pool. Surrounded by beautiful greens/bamboo and nature was private and inviting. Easy to sun or shade. Bathroom was updated and very clean. Smaller bedroom (not much space for suite case/clothing, but the oversized dining room allowed us to spread out. The enclosed porch was perfect for morning coffee and evening spirits. We can NOT thank Susan for all her hospitality and kindness during our stay....AND, we look forward to seeing her again soon. <3

Relaxing getaway

This house is large, beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. The bedroom is small but has a lot of drawers. The kitchen is well-stocked. There is a lovely screened-in porch in front with lots of seating and a table. We didn't have time to use the pool and hot tub, but those are nice extras. We would definitely look to stay here the next time we're in Cape May.

Oasis at Bliss - can't say enough good things!

Where to begin with Bliss, which was our saving grace during a tumultuous time! My husband and I booked our stay here on late notice and because of unusual circumstances. The final two weeks of March 2020 were meant to be spent on our honeymoon in California, but unfortunately our air travel had to be cancelled due to COVID-19. We still wanted to make the most of our time off from work, so we set out to plan a getaway that would be a short drive from our home in Philadelphia. We were so lucky that this lovely place was available for our "mini-moon" even though we only booked a few weeks in advance. March is the off season for Cape May, not to mention many restaurants and businesses were shuttered because of the virus. When we booked the stay at the beginning of March, we had no idea that by March 15 the whole country would be starting to practice "social distancing" and that we ourselves would soon begin a stint of working from home. With that being said, the week of our visit (Mar 15-20) was our first week of practicing social distancing, along with many other Americans. All of our time was spent either at Bliss or walking on the beach, where we didn't come into contact with anyone else. It was just the two of us and this calming home...and it was beautiful! When it felt like the world was crumbling around us, and every news report was more alarming than the last, we had the luxury of sitting on the porch and listening to the breeze making its gentle music with the beach grasses. Our mornings were spent enjoying coffee and reading a book while listening to the many birds. Our afternoons were spent exercising, walking the empty beach (about an 8 minute drive away), and journaling. Our evenings were spent cooking dinner, watching movies, and working our way through a jigsaw puzzle on the big dining table. It was a simple and quiet vacation, and honesty I can't imagine a more peaceful place to have been during this strange time. We are all coming to terms with our new reality, and the fact that Bliss gave us such a sense of "home" during this time is something for which I am very grateful. Bliss is beautifully appointed, with some lovely interior design touches that made it feel like we were staying at a friend's house rather than a rental. It's located in a beautiful area, a short drive from the beach but with ample privacy. We can't wait to come back in the summer during brighter times so we can swim in the pool and walk to the market!

Wonderful

Bliss is an amazing place away from it all, but close to everything. Susan the owner was an excellent hostess. She was kind, informative about town, and we felt at home right away in her charming place. It was perfect in every way. Spacious, everything you needed was there. It was our Christmas gift to each other and we are already planning for future get away weekends and next Christmas. I highly recommend this Blissful place.

Delightful host, perfect hideaway for two.

Susan is gracious and helpful and not the least intrusive. "Bliss" was immaculate and had everything we needed to settle in for a long weekend. The swimming pool was a plus and it was warm enough to indulge in! The porch was a joy - I spent hours reading and relaxing there while my husband sat near the pool in shaded comfort. Quite a precious find.

Bliss was pure Bliss!

My husband and I stayed at Bliss, and although the weather did not cooperate, we still had the best time in West Cape May. We enjoyed walking to Beach Plum Far, each morning for coffee and breakfast. We spent hours wondering the farm and gardens there. We got to use the Bliss pool during a brief period of sunshine and that was perfect. The front porch of Bliss was our favorite hang out spot. The suite is decorated beautifully and the kitchen was gorgeous. We preferred this to a hotel experience because of the kitchen. The owner, Susan, was a wonderful host. We look forward to our next stay!

Perfect location quiet,, lovely surroundings and my appreciation for art was delighted.

This home has a calmness, coziness and wraps it's arms around you with warmth and beauty. Three nights and wanting more time is best response . Perfect location, close and far enough from busy downtown area to provide peace and quiet and has it's own wonderful world here. I enjoyed all the personal touches in arts and collections, gardens, cleanliness, everything you would want, was here and I appreciated the sharing of it all. It rained hard first day and it was good, actually, we toured and discovered the area's beauty and special places melded in, but our car which never had a problem, but had major issue that night in the hard rain on Beach Ave, and spent our only other day in a garage for 7 hrs and still coming home to Bliss was a pleasure. Would have liked one more day to enjoy, but we checked out happy to have been here and toddled around that day before leaving for home. My dream would be to return, and dreams can come true. Sorry we did not meet our Susan, and pray her mother is returned to normal health and wish her dad peace with it.

Wonderful 4th of July in Cape May

My husband and I spent a fabulous six days at Bliss over 4th of July weekend. The suite is beautiful and equipped with everything we needed! Susan was an amazingly friendly and helpful host. We were delighted to meet her family and even had a barbeque together one night by the pool. It was an unexpected and wonderful surprise to make new friends on our trip! We loved spending time on the screened in porch, walking to the farm down the road and hiking through the nature conservatory. We visited some charming stores downtown, had a few fantastic meals at local restaurants, visited the beaches and even watched the fireworks over the ocean. We loved it so much we are going back in October for our anniversary weekend!

BLISS is an incredible getaway with such tasteful decor and furnishings in a beautiful setting.

We have been vacationing in and around the Cape May area for years but this time we decided to try and find a place to stay that is truely unique. As soon as Susan, the owner, walked us thru the front door we knew that the goal had been accomplished. The suite is impeccably decorated with antique furniture and fixtures and the outside property is as well. Everything about the place is well appointed and having such a private pool to sit at with a cocktail was an added bonus. Our absolute favorite part of the suite was the screened front porch where we could just sit and relax during the day and then again in the evening when you can view the sunset over the vineyard you're practically located on for the stay. As many times that we have visited the area this is our first stay in West Cape May and now we will not stay anywhere else in the future due to how quite it is but also how central it is to everything. The only problem we have with BLISS is that we had to force ourselves to leave the place to do tourist activities. So unique and dealing with Susan was a treat and we look forward to staying again and again!

This home truly is Bliss!!

Bliss is a beautiful one bedroom properly which is immaculately clean with wonderful antique light fixtures, a fully equipped kitchen which includes everything you might need from fine glassware and China to attractive melmac dishes and glassware suitable for use by the pool (with jacuzzi!!) which is included in the rental fee. The owner, Susan Gorski was always helpful and accommodating. We had such a lovely time (despite the 'yucky' weather) that we booked another stay for next summer before checking out...

Lovely Place!

What a lovely, elegantly decorated place in a peaceful bucolic setting! Yet it is convenient, only minutes away from shops, restaurants and the center of Cape May. The beach is also close by and you can take a nice walk (about 1.5 miles) there through a bird sanctuary if you like or you can stay at the beautiful pool and just chill!!

There is more fun to be had this fall at Beach Plum Farm! Now in its fifth year, Fall at the Farm will last even longer. Come on out to Beach Plum Farm in West Cape May for a harvest celebration, Saturdays from October 8 through November 19th. Hop on a hayride or sip on some hops from Cape May Brewery. Enjoy a mouth-watering pig roast and bask in a sunny afternoon listening to live music or picking a pumpkin from the fields.

They soar over sand dunes with effortless grace and cling to the seaside goldenrods as the wind whistles across the beach. Every September and October, monarch butterflies stop in Cape May Point before continuing their 2,000 mile migration to Mexico.

“Monarchs do not have an adaptation that allows them to survive winter’s cold in any of their life stages and in one of the more spectacular migratory movements of North America, tens of millions of monarch butterflies leave eastern half of United States, southern Canada on an epic trek all the way to the mountains west of Mexico City,” said Mark Garland, communications director of the Monarch Monitoring Project. “Monarchs literally do migrate over every place in the United States but geography conspires to have an abnormal number of monarchs come through Cape May.”
