CLOSE TO BEACH & RESTAURANTS, large backyard & barbeque for family fun! Sleeps 8

Just a 12 to 15 MINUTE walk to the beach & restaurants, through the beautiful neighborhood. Our house has a large enclosed yard to enjoy family time after a day of surfing, swimming, hiking and exploring or visiting California's theme parks. Backyard features BBQ, patio with fire pit and private hot tub. Enjoy a sip of coffee in the breakfast nook in the fully equipped kitchen off of the spacious dining room/living room. There are two bedrooms on this level. Master Bedroom with queen size bed and private bathroom/shower and dressing area. Another bedroom with queen size bed and a full guest bathroom. Downstairs is another bedroom with a queen bed and a sofa/futon that sleeps two small children or 1 adult. An additional twin bed may be set up upon request.

Great location to enjoy the CALIFORNIA LIVING experience.

Our home is the PERFECT LOCATION. Easy parking, quiet neighborhood, access to LAX airport and Long Beach Airport. There are many great family activities within 10 to 30 minutes away that you can enjoy while also visiting many of California's theme parks Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm, Universal Studios, Magic Mountain as well as Hollywood, Beverly Hills and the many Museums in the area.

A 12 minute leisurely WALK to the BEACH or 4 minutes away by car. We are 3 minutes drive to Riviera Village with excellent restaurants, bars, cafe's and boutiques where you can enjoy the casual beach life atmosphere. Enjoy surfing, bike riding on the beach bike path, fishing at the pier, or watching the dolphins swim by or a sunset at the park overlooking the ocean.

- Los Verdes Golf course (12 min)
-Terranea Resort and Golf course (15 min)
-Hiking in the Palos Verdes Hills and cliffside (10 min)
-Redondo Beach Pier where you will find fun activities for the family such as boat rides, gondola rides, fishing, kayaking, sailing, pedal boats, whale watching, surfing & swimming only (10 min)
-Take a day trip to Long Beach Harbor visit the Aquarium, Queen Mary with bars and restaurants (20 min).
-Take a ferry from San Pedro (22 min) and visit Catalina Island and enjoy this peaceful quaint setting, hiking kayaking, zip lining, boating … and after a day of exploration come and sit and enjoy our backyard in a hot tub while sipping on wine and enjoying the sunset.

My children and I had a wonderful time at Brian's. We loved the gorgeous backyard, making s'mores on the fire pit, cozy beds and location. An easy walk in the morning to a playground nearby, was a highlight for the kids. We enjoyed our stay and hope to return!

Probably the best VRBO/abnb experience we’ve had. Property was fantastic and well appointed. The owner was responsive to questions. The house itself is fabulous with plenty to do and a lovely backyard. The neighborhood is awesome - cute old prewar houses that were a highlight of our visit. Hard to imagine a better place!

Fabulous beach stay

How fortunate we were to rent this lovely, well-located, spotlessly clean and welcoming home. It was the perfect place for our family to gather, share meals and fun especially with its expansive yard. My stay at this property was all I could have hoped for. It was so relaxing and peaceful, I extended my stay for an additional 2 weeks.The location was perfectly convenient to the many shops and restaurants, beach and local park. The neighborhood is beautiful for walks and people in the area are very friendly.The house is well-stocked and has everything guests would need.Brian, the owner, was quick to respond to any questions or requests that I had. He went out of his way to be helpful and accommodating to make sure the stay was enjoyable and comfortable.I would definitely stay at this home again in the future.

Redondo Family Summer Trip

This home was exactly as advertised but more charming in person. Great living spaces, kitchen (even had a kiddy table), two levels, and incredible back yard. 3 different wall units to keep cool for summer trips, which is not common place in this area. Spacious rooms and comfy beds.. Brian - the host - was extremely communicative and very responsive when we had a few minor issues. We stayed here with our two girls (5 and 3 yo) as well as my parents. Was plenty of space for the 6 of us and a great "home base" for our beach vacation visiting family and friends in Redondo. The neighborhood where this home sits is so charming and walkable/short-drivable to all that Redondo and South Bay have to offer. Highly recommend for your next vacation to the area!

Great house, Great host!

My family of seven had a terrific stay at Brian's home. The house was very clean and very well appointed. While we cooked only one meal, the kitchen has everything you will need - and more. Brian even provided a good supply of k-cups and tea. There's a large dining room table for everyone to sit together. Shampoo and soap also provided for us. Added bonus - if you play piano, there are two in the living room. When I couldn't find an iron, I texted Brian and he responded immediately. Good location - just about 10 minutes to the grocery store and the beach. Check out Wildflower Cafe if you want a local breakfast. Thank you, Brian, for your hospitality and a stress-free weekend!

Stayed for three nights with wife, mother in law, brother and sister in law and 2 nieces in mid January. House accommodated us very comfortably. Nice large dinning table for family discussions. Used driveway for 2 cars and easy on street parking for third car. Lovely, clean and upscale neighborhood. Teenage niece loved having a piano in living room to play. We all appreciated excellent internet with wifi. Owner left easy to understand instruction sheet. Only minor reservation is that the "bed" in the den is advertised for two and it is a futon type couch that is comfortable for one - so house is great for 7 (as we were), but it is a stretch for 8.

Another great stay in Redondo Beach

This was our third or fourth time staying at this beautiful home. The host family is wonderful--always accessible, but never intrusive. The house is spacious and comfortable, and the yard (with a gas grill, 2 seating areas with outdoor lighting, and hot tub) are perfect for entertaining. The kitchen is well-stocked with every tool you could need and the flow of the house is perfect for family gatherings. The house also has 3 large screen TVs, and a grand piano. There are several grocery stores within a 5-10 minute drive, and there are several restaurants within walking distance. There is also a wonderful ice cream parlor nearby. The neighborhood is a little hilly, but it's a safe, beautiful area for a morning or evening walk. El Retiro Park is within walking distance, and has 2 tennis courts and a shady play area for young children. We've never had any regrets about staying here, and are already looking forward to our next stay.

The rental home was lovely, in a pretty and quiet neighborhood with a beautiful back yard. Lots of coffee shops etc within walking distance. Driving distance (for us!) to the beaches, and bike rentals 👍 Unfortunately, the futon did not work for us; too hard and narrow, so we were short on bed space, since we planned to sleep 7 adults

Wonderful family vacation!!

We had such a wonderful time staying at Brian’s home in Redondo Beach!! For starters: Brian was amazing! He met us at the property (with our 5 kids) and showed us around making us feel right at home. The home was absolutely beautiful!! Even more spacious than the online profile described! The beds were all extremely comfortable, and the home was spotless!! We were able to cook every meal at the home, with every cooking utensil you can imagine! I forgot my keurig- but Brian had a keurig and cups on site! If we didn’t have our 5 kids with us, my husband and I would have walked to the beach every day- but instead- we drove 5 short minutes- EVERY DAY- to enjoy the very quiet, ReDondo Beach. We will DEFINITELY be coming back every year (and hopefully more) to visit this lovely beach house! Thank you, Brian!!

A warm and welcoming home for a family stay.

The house was exactly what we were looking for and worked perfectly for our group of extended family. Brian was extremely helpful starting from our first communication, even offering to meet us at the house upon our arrival. Unfortunately we got in late and never got to meet but the fresh flowers were a beautiful touch and greatly appreciated! The house had plenty of room and allowed for everyone to be together or retreat to their own space for some down-time. Everything about the house, inside and out, was warm, comfortable and welcoming. The location is perfect, close to shopping, food and beaches and the neighborhood is charming and quiet. We loved our stay and hated to leave. Mahalo Nui Brian!

The house is beautiful, walking distance to the beach and to several restaurants. It was easy to get to. Brian gave us a tour when we arrived, there was a helpful guide conspicuously provided to let us know what to do. I would give 6 stars if I could.

Great spot to relax and enjoy Redondo Beach

Beautiful property, well maintained with a nice backyard for a BBQ and soak in the hot tub. It is a short walk down to Redondo Beach Riviera Village with easy access to shops, restaurants and the beach.

Why they chose this property

We love the location of this property as it has the feel of a small beach town with the beaches close by, bike riding, surfing ... it feels secluded and away from the hustle and bustle of the city yet it's within minutes to all major freeways to where you can enjoy "city life" in Downtown LA, Hollywood, Pasadena ... Museums LACMA, the Getty ... Major shopping at Beverly Hills and the Grove ... And for exploring and nature adventures 2 hours from the Desert and 2 1/2 hours from Skiing at Big Bear.
