Unfortunately I got sick first day of my vacation. It was very cozy with a luxury mattress and bedding and lots of pillows. It made being sick a bit less bothersome. And it was sooo nice to have cold bottles of water when I came in after a long drive! What attracted me to this place was the pictures of the lanai type porch and garden areas. I was sad to be too sick to take a wander and enjoy the back yard. What I could see from the door looked as nice and peaceful as the images, even off season. It's in a busy part of Salem, but you'd never know that as the neighborhood was so quiet. As it's only 10 minutes from my friends' place, I'll probably stay there next time I'm in Salem.A couple of things to nit-pick though: I'm as much of a coffee snob as any Seattlite, but I do like a spot of tea now and then. Also, the bath towels were nice, but they don't work well for us bigger people; maybe get a couple bath sheets as well? But really, it was a nice place to stay, the owner was easy to reach via text, the place was easy to find and get into, and it's in a good location. I kinda hate to give it a good review because I don't want it to get taken and then I can't get in when I want it! ;)
