The space

Private,spacious and comfortable 2 dbl bdrm apartment. Attached to main house but fully self contained & separate entrance. Located on quiet suburban street.Freshly painted interior.

The apartment is a self contained unit with open plan kitchen living and dining area. The kitchen has a microwave, Ceramic cooktop, fridge,/ freezer, benchtop oven, rice cooker, coffee machine, toaster, jug, plates and cutlery and everything else you would need for your stay. I provide coffee, tea, milk and sugar to all guests free of charge as well as bread, butter, Jams, cereal, OJ, etc for breakfast! There is a washing machine, Dishwasher and Dryer located in the kitchen also and washing powder is provided.. Free unlimited fast wifi, NBN. Clothes airer, ironing board/ iron located in the kitchen. A portacot is provided for young families and high chair also.

It has 2 sunny double bedrooms with plenty of closet space . The first bedroom has a queen bed. The second a queen bed and single bunks. The sofa in the living area pulls out to a double bed if needed. There is aircon in the living area and main bedroom. There are also ceiling fans in the living area and ceiling fans in each bedroom to keep you cool. The beds and mattresses are new and comfortable . Sheets are freshly laundered before new guests arrive. We also provide towels.

The bathroom is stocked with basic toiletries including shower gel and shampoo/ conditioner and a hairdryer. There are plenty of cupboards for storage space.

Guest access

You have your own self contained unit with private entrance . The only shared area is the outside of the property which you have access to and use of the pool , outdoor covered dining area and BBQ.

Interaction with guests

I live in the front property in a separate Apartment to the Apartment you are staying in.You have your own patio area. The only shared area is some of the outdoor area including the pool and BBQ area.

I love to meet all our visitors to ensure your comfort. Plus I love to meet people from all over the world and give them the benefit of my local knowledge. If you would prefer to self check in using the key lock box outside your entrance door of course I respect that also, just let me know your preference. But remember I am just a call/text/email away. Please do not hesitate to contact me at anytime if you have any issues or questions.

Other things to note


-I have a small Bichon dog called Fritzy. He is cute and doesn t bite however he may bark until he gets to know you. Please do not let him in your apartment. If you do not like dogs please let me know and I will ensure he keeps out of your way.

Family stay

We stayed here for two weeks and really enjoyed it. It was reasonably priced, clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed plus the pool which the kids spent hours in. Property owners were super helpful and friendly, overall really enjoyed staying here and would definitely book this house again

Superb accommodation on a quiet cul-de-sac, welcome pack in the fridge was well received. Situated about 90 minutes from the Gold Coast (Sea World), 70 minutes from Movie World, numerous local shopping venues within 10 minutes and Grand Plaza Mall at Browns Plain about 20 minutes away. Stay at Algester was comfortable and well located for our needs.

This property offered modern amenities, good space and facilities. It was great to have a pool and easy access to it. There were ceiling fans and air cons that provided good temp. control and the fridge was stocked with breakfast items as was the pantry. Perfect for staying when attending TAFE Acacia Ridge

I had a 5 week stay as I was attending TAFE at Acacia Ridge. The location was perfect, minimal traffic to get there and plenty of shops for groceries, take out and riding my bike. Thanks Jackson for helping me out with my flat battery. Very quiet culdesac street and quiet neighbourhood. Will be requesting to stay again for my next block. Hopefully it will be available.

We found one bathroom with shower and bathtub. Separate toilet. But advertised as 2 bathrooms( 1 bathroom and 1 half bath). Split system units not working dish washer was not working one bedroom door knob comes off when you try to open the door. In the toilet the toilet paper holder was not fixed firmly to the wall. Front security fly screen was defective.

No privacy and not what i expected

On arrival we almost left we couldn't find key we thought we had the wrong property .after about a half a answer to email to allow us in .in the mean time the owner was there the whole time .then the next morning we awoke to workers before 7am after complaining about people dropping us off after 7pm my main reason for this property was the pool which was un usable may be ididnt read the small print but i didn't know it was attached house. With no privacy . Did meet our needs at all

Lovely Quiet Apartment

Perfect stay for a couple or family. Lovely pool and everything you need in the unit. A lovely welcome, finding food in the fridge and cupboard too. Property managers were very helpful and respected our privacy. Highly recommend this place. Quiet street and neighbourhood close to shopping centres and about 20-30 mins from Brisbane airport and city.

Beautiful comfortable home.

It was an excellent location, comfortable and beautiful home. Just 20 minutes from the closet shopping center. Peaceful at night and one thing to enjoy was the pool, the children really love it.

Excellent Accommodation at Kathryn's B & B

How could you go past the very best: everything you would need provided; clean, comfortable, simply a home away from home with a friendly and accommodating manager as well. Handy to local supermarkets and after 15 days we can give this B & B a big tick ~ it is simply the best of the best. Don't miss out on this one. Especially loved the heated bathroom.

A lovely home-away from home

We had a wonderful time in QLD. The property is located in a very nice residential area where there are many shops close by. It’s easy to go to Brisbane and the Gold Coast. The owner, Kathryn is so lovely. She provided us everything we needed. It was just like a home-away. Continental breakfast was provided and it was so nice as we arrived very late from the airport and we didn’t have to go shopping. We would love to go back and stay again. Thank you for the yummy brownies as well 😊

Outdoors area including pool is shared with my small family. I am happy to interact if you wish and give you tips on things to do in the area and places to go. You may wish to have your privacy and I completely respect that also.

I work full time and have a teenager who loves his computer. I also have a Shih Tzu Bichon cross dog called Fritzy who is cute and friendly. He may bark when you first arrive but once you pat him he is your friend for ever. I enjoy reading a good book, catching a movie and eating at local restaurants. I am originally from NZ and have been living in Brisbane for 5 years.

I love to meet new people and I aim to make your stay a memorable one.
