Great Condo!

The condo fit our group of six adults very comfortably. Beds are nice, furniture is in great shape. Everything is very clean. The condo has everything you need including soaps/shampoo, dish soap, paper products, laundry detergent, and the kitchen is well stocked. The grounds are very green and full of flowers. We would definitely stay here again.

I'm sorry that my vacation rental didn't meet with your expectations. Although you are very nice both myself and my handyman could never please you. Eg the wood shutters had one vane that turned the other way. A very easy fix, but you insisted that my handyman do it, which of course he immediately did. Regarding your review: 34 renters, before and after you, don't agree with your review. I have a 5 star rating for cleanliness, great location and a beautiful condo. As a renter who stayed after you in April 2019 commented: “It was a wonderful stay and beautiful home. Thank you!!” “Our stay was great! 10 out of 10 stars”, “ Perfectly spacious, clean and well equipped.” , “Great condo! Great Location!” “ “ Very spacious. Unit very close to tennis and main pool.” Great stay, awesome location for Coachella.” , We have stayed at Marlene’s condo several times and enjoyed it tremendously. The location is ideally close to the clubhouse and saltwater pool, yet wonderfully private and quiet.”

If you're looking for a beautiful golf resort and quiet getaway in an excellent location, look no further. The palm trees and golf courses are spectacular, and the many swimming pools throughout the resort make for a quiet and private break from it all. If you like runnning or walking, there's lots of room to do that in between the flowered boulevards. This condo is bright, spacious and well equipped. Would recommend the experience. March, 2009

Poor experience

Owner couldn’t find the house key upon arrival…..stained carpet main living space…. flooded main bathroom with horrible smell. It took 4 days for drying, repair and bad odor to disappear. Kitchen cabinets are very outdated and were sticky upon touching. Owner is nice but home needs updating.

Demco, sorry that your stay was less than expected. We had a 5 star (36 Reviews) on VRBO - Wonderful - from all our past guests. …Your condo is a great unit, beautifully kept…best equipped, cleanest and the location is convenient to the PVCC Clubhouse. We have a key pad entry, where no key was necessary. As an extra measure I have a key which was lost, but after your stay a couple of keys were made up. We have tile and carpet. I noticed a couple of spots on the carpet. I wanted to have the whole carpet shampooed, but you refused. You said that it wasn’t bad, and insisted that we have the carpet shampooed after your stay, which we did. The master bathroom had a flood due to my carelessness. The main water to the house was turned off. I turned on the bidet and the faucets, however, not until several minutes later did I realize the water was on, causing a flood. You were able to use the 2nd bathroom, while the master bathroom was being remediated. I did compensate you for the 4 days of your stay which you gladly accepted.

Lovely setting for relaxation

Property was located at the Palm Valley Country Club with full access to all amenities. (No salt water pool though) Such a beautiful setting entering the home through a lovely patio with seating and beautiful foliage. The back patio was also serene and lovely with tall Palm trees swaying in the breeze, manicured green lawns. and a beautiful pond, as this was a wide golf corridor aka a golf green. I appreciated the pool and jacuzzi just steps across the lawn to our unit. The clubhouse was a short walk which was perfect for lap swimming and the well appointed gym and MASSAGES! The unit was great, and had everything we needed to prep as we like to cook our own meals. The beds were great. The unit was charming in a dated way. Marlene was available and attentive. Her directory of restaurants was huge, but somewhat dated.. Maybe it was pre-covid as many things have changed.

Wonderful Stay!

This property is clean, beautiful, and exceeded my expectations. The beds were comfortable and there was so much room in the condo. It was a gorgeous setting on the golf course as well as a beautiful house. I will definitely be back.

Marlene was an incredible host. Her place was perfect for our group who was attending Coachella. Her hospitality cannot be matched and we are so grateful she accommodated us when there weren't to many properties left to book. We 100% recommend staying here and will definitely do it again if we get the chance!

Great Condo! Great Location!!!

We are remodeling our home and was lucky to find this great condo for my family. We stayed 3 months.The condo was clean, modern and well equipped with everything that we needed. Had a Feng Shui look and nice energy. Both the living room and bedroom were on the fairway. It was in a perfect location as the website said. Only a 3 minute walk to the Clubhouse from the condo! I would start my day by going to the Athletic Club with the group classes of my choice (they have a paper schedule you can have) and work out with their new machines. The Athletic Club is large, with 2 workout rooms and 1 for classes. Then I’d go for a swim in their heated salt water Olympic Swimming Pool and have a snack or lunch at their pool side eatery…Boggies. Shower off, using their amenities for my hair and body and then my day would begin. The large barbecue was automatic and extremely easy to use. The kitchen was well stocked. Both bedrooms had a King bed and the den had a leather sofa queen bed. The Master bedroom had luxury black out drapes and the window opened to the patio and had a tint/sun filter. The 2nd bedroom also had a king bed, which was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on. I asked Marlene the details so that I could possible buy one for my home. The renting process was simple and convenient and Marlene was quick to respond. I feel that we really got a great place. Would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Condo and Host for the Stage Coach Weekend

I had a great time staying at Marlene's place for Stagecoach. The house looked just like the pictures and was very pleasant. The included amenities made me and my friends feel like we were right at home. There is even a washer and dryer in the unit. The unit had a garage and driveway so there was plenty of parking available. The house is located in a gated community so we always felt safe. The neighbors and staff in the community were extremely nice and helpful. Though we never took advantage of it because we were busy at Stagecoach, the community also has plenty of activities to do. Marlene was a great host before, during, and after our stay. She was delightful to talk to and she responded to my messages almost immediately, no matter what time of day. Marlene gets the highest rating I can give a host, I truly felt like she was trying to do everything she could to make our stay as pleasant as it could be, and she went above and beyond what she was required to do. You are in great hands with her as your host. I would surely rent from Marlene again, without hesitation. Thank you so much Marlene!

Description is nicer than reality.

The condo is situated in the beautifully designed and very well kept Palm Valley Country Club with two 18 holes golfcourses. This is really a 5* Country Club. The 46 pools and jacuzzis are free, but we paid $ 18 p.p.p.d. for the gym and $ 10 p.p.p.d. for a tenniscourt. The condo itself is average, the amenities are fine. Under "Entertainment" in the description is mentioned a CD-player as first item. Music is very important for us. We looked everywhere, but there was no CD-player at all. That was very disappointing. The living room is nice with a mirrored wall and has a rather new pink carpet and a purple sofa, on which the guests are not allowed to eat or to drink. The bed in the guest bedroom is fine, but the bed in the master bedroom is so hard, old and worn that we changed beds halfway our stay so that we each could have some good nights. Kitchen and bath rooms are also old and for the photo of the entire kitchen the photographer has used a lense that makes the kitchen out of proportions. The large kitchen closet and some drawers contained a big mess. Broadband internet was the best we had in all rentals, but during our stay the owner expected that we would stay in the condo on the 2nd day of our stay from 12 - 5 PM (with 1 day notice), because a new internet provider had to change the cables and an adult had to be present. The appointment was made long before our reservation. We refused. Later we heard from acqaintances that the job in and outside this condo took 1 1/2 days. We enjoyed our stay in the Palm Valley C.C. very much, we'll certainly come back, but then we'll check the VRBO website for better offers.

Bartjens so sorry it did not meet with your expectations. I had tried to accommodate you with every request you made. I had looked at my description and could not find mention of a CD player. I.however have 2 state of the art players in each bedroom and Blu-ray Disc Players. After your departure I had remodeled both bathrooms, hallway and kitchen with recessed LED lighting, dimmers and contemporary screw less plates that are beautiful as well as functional. The cable guy was at my place exactly at the time I had called you for permission. There would have been no waiting, but I understand that you did not want him to disturb you. Before you moved in you requested that I give you a discount even though it was a holiday week, Thanksgiving, because VRBO charged their service fee. I accommodated you with your request, even though I had not done that before. I was just trying to make you happy. All of my prior reviews by past guests are accurate. Everyone does think my place is beautiful, comfortable, spotless with a great location...and now the new LED recessed lights makes it even more wonderful. FYI - After your stay, there is a couple renting my place for 4.5 months who commented that it was beautiful when they first arrived and are very happy.

A great stay in Palm Valley

Hi Marlene, My stay with my 20 year old son, during his university break, at your wonderful condo was super. Your condo is very close and convenient to the fitness and tennis courts. My son and I used the facilities ever day (love that steam room). Palm valley CC area is very safe and quiet. The condo is very roomy and has plenty of amenities within the condo to make you feel right at home. We again had a great time loved everything about it and will be looking forward to staying in the future. Marlene you were very accommodating and attentive leading up and during our stay, thank you again for making our stay terrific. Cheers.

Comfortable and well maintained

I would highly recommend this property for a quiet, comfortable, well located getaway to Palm Desert. This condo was very accurately described as a spacious and well appointed unit. The new king sized bed (smaller bedroom) was very comfortable!! The location in this large complex was excellently situated near the Clubhouse, which has a big pool with swimming lanes. There're also numerous small pools around the complex (which I preferred) that were quiet and well maintained. I was impressed with the maintenance of the complex and this unit. I liked that each condo is a separate unit, without shared walls. This unit has it's own BBQ and an actual garage for keeping the car cool in the summer heat!! It's definitely quiet here, don't go looking for a "party scene". Marlene, the owner, was extremely helpful and accessible for my questions. I would stay here again and recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable, quiet, spacious and well maintained condo.

Palm Valley Country Club, Palm Desert, Platinum Championship Golf

We stayed at the Palm Country Club and we really enjoyed our five days spent over there. The opportunities for golfing, going to the Gym and the restaurant were greatly appreciated. The rented residence was offering all that was required for an elegant, comfortable and enjoyable stay with all the amenities necessary.

we have stayed at Marlene's condo several times and enjoyed it tremendously. The location is ideally close to the clubhouse and saltwater pool, yet wonderfully private and quiet.

We stayed for a week in Marlene Starks condo and had a great time. The location is convenient to the PVCC clubhouse (but not too close). We enjoyed the restaurants and activities that Marlend recommended. The PVCC Sunday Brunch was fantastic. Walked on the quiet cul de sacs in the morning and enjoyed the clean (and close) pools and hot tubs. We had a great time and recommend Marlenes condo and the PVCC for a relaxing vacation. We look forward to our return.

Our condo is very quiet, luxury black out drapes for sleeping in and privacy, 2 patios with furniture and a fully automatic BBQ.
We have a Tennis/Pickleball and Athletic Club/Spa Membership for our guests. Many of our renters are golfers who also enjoy the many nearby golf courses, which have a lower priced tee time than Palm Valleys.
You will see that Palm Valley's setting is spectacular!
