2 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom Guesthouse On 5 Tropical Acres in the Redland
- english, spanish
Married couple that have become 'empty nesters'. We are both educators and also tropical fruit farmers.
Owner/Manager purchased this House in 2015
Why Owner/Manager chose Homestead
Very secluded and private in the heart of the very desirable 'Redland' area of southwest Miami-Dade County, just minutes from Biscayne Bay, the Everglades, the FL Keys, factory outlets, and surrounded by south Florida tropical agriculture (fruits, vegetables, ornamental nurseries, tropical fish farms, etc.). This place is very private and you will feel like you are in the country.
What makes this House unique
Very large patio area for parking boats, multiple vehicles, RVs, etc. You can have a campfire, barbeque, clean your fish, wash your vehicles/boats, etc. on over 3,500 square feet of brand new concrete patio. The house sits on 5 acres of tropical fruit trees and has an electric gated entry way.

Five Stars All The Way!!
If I could give more than five stars I would. This is a wonderful place to stay. Super clean!! There is nothing bad to be said about this property or the manager. Everything was great. And Wayne knows the most wonderful place to get tacos. Be sure and ask him, you won't regret it!
Best place to stay in Florida.
It was a wonderful vacation for my family.
As soon as we entered the house, we received a warm welcome in a form of exotically shaped avocados and aromatic mangos and a spotless clean house. We found Amazon Prime and Netflix very entertaining and relaxing in the evenings after our busy day. This place is for someone who appreciates nature and enjoys quiet mornings, days or evenings looking at the sky and green grounds. I never felt better on my vacation and I miss it very much already. My family was absolutely overwhelmed by this place. Wayne is very kind and helpful when you need his help. The property is located in a very peaceful and beautiful town, there is absolutely no other place in Florida where you can relax as much.
We will come back, because it is truly best place in Florida! Thank you Wayne!
Family Stay for Everglades and Biscayne Bay NPs
We enjoyed our stay at this well appointed comfortable space. Our host Wayne did all possible to make our stay good. He brought us fruits and allowed us in early. The home is well stocked with needed kitchen items and linens. they have labelled all the light switches to make it easier for visitors. We were very comfortable for our family of five with three teens.
Home away from home
Very nice home. Comfortable, clean, feels like home. Will definitely stay again when in town.
Enjoyed our visit. House is very nice and clean. Not far from the Everglades. I recommend it to others.
The house is very centrally located for visiting the following four national parks:
Everglades: (about 20 mn. to the south entrance at Pine Island and 30 mn. to the north entrance at Shark Valley)
Biscayne: you are about a 20 mn. drive to the visitor center
Big Cypress: you are about a 30 mn. drive to the park and visitor center
Dry Tortugas: you are a 2.5 hour drive to Key West and from there you can take a ferry out to Ft. Jefferson
