Set under idyllic oak trees covered in Spanish Moss, The Fig is one of 5 uniquely designed boutique vacation rentals that make up The Park and is privately nestled around a gated swimming pool. This home has 2 master bedrooms, sleeps 4 comfortably and is only a 2 minute walk from The Pier Village on St. Simon Island, Georgia and a bike's ride from the beach.
Essential modern decor with a distinct southern charm sets this home apart as the perfect escape from the stresses of modern life.

THE PARK QUIRKS:
The Park is newly a renovated collection of airbnb rentals located in the heart of St. Simons Island. As it may be a refurbished rental it still comes with a few older quirks that if made aware of may help you navigate and understand the property a little better during your stay.

Tripped Breaker:
At times we may have a breaker trip which could either be the dish washer, fridge or the AC unit- it's a simple fix with the flip of the breaker. The two bedroom unit breakers are located just outside the back doors of the unit. The 4 bedroom units breaker box is located in the property laundry outside of the unit. You will need a code to access this so please reach out and we would be happy to either stop by and flip this for you or give you access upon request to address the issue.

Neon Sign:
The Park neon sign "Park it Here" is running on a panel and will now be on at night only due to constant running and the summer heat.

Pool Heater:
The pool heater will be on as needed (or as determined by owners). If the water falls below the waterline tile and skimmers the heater will shut off. In order to keep it going we are happy if you stick the hose in the pool to fill it back up. Water level should be mid water line tile. We monitor during the week but it could be a day before we realize the water level is low. Assistance in this will ensure your heated pool experience is uninterrupted.

Coffee:
Each unit is allotted a certain amount of coffee pods- if you are a heavy coffee drinker we suggest that you bring more of your own. If for some reason you arrive and there are no coffee pods in your unit please reach out and let us know so that we can arrange for some to be dropped off. We always do our best to make sure all of these details are taken care of but sometimes this little detail can be missed. It is not intentional — we are human!

We are an airbnb property and are not operated as a 24/7 hotel so we may not answer back immediately after hours but we will respond back in a timely manner and help you any way we can.
If you have an emergency or are unable to access your unit please call 478-244-0313 for an immediate response.

Entry and Locks:
The doors are running on a keyless entry system with a code provided in the check in instructions- if the code is entered in slowly or incorrectly it will not allow you access. Please make sure you are entering in the numerical access code followed by the CHECK MARK. If you mistype the code and need to try again please wait 10 seconds before retrying in order for it to enter reset mode. We understand that it can be frustrating to not have access to your unit immediately so if these tips do not help with your entry you can again reach out to us directly at tel:478-244-0313 478-244-0313 for a more immediate response. On occasion the batteries may be low and will cause this issue. This happens about 2x per year — the rest is user error! Take a deep breath, wait 10-60 seconds and reenter your code. In addition — make sure you are at the correct unit. Your unit has a name. It is either: FIG, IVY, MANDEVILLA, JASMINE or WISTERIA, which will be listed in your check in instructions- the name of all units are located on a white sign directly beside the front door of each apartment.
*We also have extra hard copy keys located on property that are hidden and accessible with a special code per unit in the event of an emergency or outage.

AC & Doors:
We have the property on a regular maintenance plan for all AC units and bug spraying, while many of our guest enjoy the summer breeze and the constant in and out of the pool lifestyle, we do ask that our guests be conscious of keeping the doors shut as it helps keep the units clean, cool and the bugs out! If you do see insects, please remember we are in South Georgia on an island. Common pests of this nature are ants, pincher, black flies, and the occasional palmetto bug.

Towels:
Each unit is also provided an adequate amount of bath towels as well as pool towels, if you have more people in your party or a frequent user of new towels we ask that you bring a few more of your own. All units are equipped with a washer and dryer that can be used to keep your laundry fresh during your stay. If for some reason you are not provided with an adequate amount of towels or linens please reach out to us so that we can address this in a timely manner during your stay.

Friendly Critters on Property:
We are located on an island and sometimes we have the occasional visitor on the property ie. Raccoons or garden snakes. These are temporary visitors and usually mind their own business and are just passing through. We are not animal control and will not come out to remove the animal as 9 times out of 10 they are temporarily passing though. Please only alert us if the animal is in your personal space or the pool area.

Property Maintenance:
Our property is located under a canopy of beautiful historic oak trees that in some seasons may shed its leaves a little more than others. The property may be blown off in the morning and the next day can seem as if not blown off at all. Please be patient with us as we have scheduled teams for lawn care maintenance and regular pool cleanings to make sure your stay and atmosphere stay as beautiful as possible. Below is a schedule of all property maintenance:
Lawn maintenance is scheduled for Monday's & Thursday's, weather permitting.
Pool maintenance is scheduled for Monday's and Friday's, weather permitting.
Garbage pick up is scheduled for Tuesday mornings
We do our best to limit our potential for disappointment to our guests. We understand everyone is different and has different needs, likes and dislikes. Please make us aware of potential issues sooner rather than later so we can do everything we can to fix it in a timely manner. The sooner we know the more we can do.

1- If you feel comfortable please ask which unit they are staying in
2- If you feel comfortable please ask if they are guests of someone staying in the unit
3- If you feel comfortable please ask why they are on property
4- If you do not feel comfortable with these answers please call the non-emergency police line Or 911 to report trespassers. Please Text ALL number listed on emergency contacts to let us know what has happened.

Broken Appliances:
Broken appliances can happen at any time. We do run into issues that need to be fixed as there is general wear and tear. Please alert us and we will call the appropriate maintenance technicians to come out and fix the issue ASAP! We want everything to be up and running as smoothly as possible for you during your stay and for future guests! We do our best to repair any issues as quickly as possible so you can get back to enjoying your stay with us at The Park!

Hi there! We are Bryce Brock and Kelly Revels, Co-Owners of The Park, a collection of five unique mid-century modern vacation rentals located in the heart of the pier village on St. Simons Island, Georgia. We are also Co-Owners of The Vine, a full service Landscape Design and Event Design Firm.
We love design, celebrating the best parts of life and clean souther charm.
When we couldn't find the perfect vacation spot that we'd always wanted right here on St. Simons, we decided to just create it. And thus, The Park was born.
