The house was as described, very good layout and comfy beds
Steam train running which was a bonus as the kids ran out to wave
Location was perfect for us
Would definately stay again
My 10yo son absolutely loved being across the road from the Cockle Train tracks, house is very close to Tavern and Bakery, but also very quiet.

Comfortable
Property is well kept. However no curtain on one bedroom window, you cannot sleep in. Blockout curtains would be great. The shower needs a make over. Kitchen is great, great deck with barbecue. Good location. Just a short walk to beach and township. Short dribe to victor harbor and goolwa..

good property - terrible check in
Property was great - but check in was terrible - I was given the wrong lock box number - and couldn't get the key - and Elders after hours number was the same as the office number - with no- one on duty Sat arvo - eventually someone rang me after 90 minutes wait - bad way to start the holiday
Our family (including elderly dog) had a lovely time - thank you. Lovely spot - The house was presented well and is functional. The rear deck was lovely and relaxing.
The property was a great size for 2 people, and had everything we needed for an easy, comfortable stay. We liked seeing the steam train during the days, and being near the pub wasn't an issue with noise like we thought it may be. In some places it could have done with extra cleaning/tidying, like on the microwave where cups/tea/sugar etc are kept, and in the laundry. However many things were good quality, like the fridge, deck, BBQ (although we didn't use it), couches, beds and TV. The book selection was good too. Our dogs loved the backyard for its size. It would have been good to know beforehand that there is a bee hive in a corner of the yard: 2 boxes strapped together and with a small door for the bees, as one of our dogs is allergic to bees. Luckily there are quite a few building supplies stacked there in the corner so my partner built a temporary fence to keep the dog away. For people wanting a fuss-free yet comfy holiday beach-house, this place is ideal.
From reservation through to check out, this was a great experience. Comfy cottage between the beach n main st. Good size backyard for our pup. We brought our own linen for 2 x Queen size beds n other linen. Did a quick clean on check in and check out as instructed which was easy. We didn’t use BBQ or stove as we either ate out or had cold meats etc but there was everything there if we wanted it. Would stay here again! Thanks so much!
Homely verandah out the back. All conveniences covered, and cosy set up. Very easily accessible for the cars and close to all areas including beach, main road, local shops, playgrounds, cycle paths etc. A friendly atmosphere.

Convenient location with potential
Most of all we enjoyed the location of this little house as we rarely used our car during our stay since we could either walk or ride bikes to most places.
Would we stay there again? Possibly - mainly because it is pet friendly.
I really wanted to leave a positive rating as we really did enjoy our stay however the cleanliness was questionable. A half eaten packet of chips was left on top of the fridge, the BBQ was dirty and open jars of pickles etc still left in the fridge. There was also a lot of pet hair and dust gathered under the beds and in corners of the rooms.
But if you don't mind doing a quick vacuum yourself on arrival it's a handy spot to stay!

Great spot for a Relaxing holiday
Quiet but close to amenities. Walk to the surf beach, the Tavern for dinner or the bakery for coffee and pastries. All within a few minutes. My favourite place to relax in a lovely home. Even get to see the Steam train go by.
