Great Location, well furnished. Exactly what we were looking for!

  • 5 of 5

Stayed in late Aug 2017 with 5 adults. Overall, we were VERY pleased with this rental. The location is excellent with very easy creek and bike trail access. Enjoyed the outside deck, grill and the fire circle. The kitchen was well supplied with pots/pans, spices, oils, etc. We especially liked the cast iron pots and pans!! The water supply for the cabin tasted very good (no taste at all). No need for bottled water. We spent most of our time outside along the creek or on the deck, but when we were inside we were mostly in the kitchen/dining area and enjoyed the view out to the creek. Cabin was very clean and well furnished. There were plenty of towels provided. Pine creek was slightly low, but this was probably the normal level for August. If you like to kayak or canoe or just float around, bring them along. The creek right by the cabin runs slow and is perfect for just floating around and fishing/sunning. A little bit upstream (easy to paddle to) is a nice hole. There are plenty of bike trial and creek access points close by. Short drive to Slate Run and south to Waterville. Overall, a great place to enjoy the Pine Creek valley. We will return!! Thank you Doug!!

Beyond expectations

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was beautiful inside and out. It was stocked with every comfort you'd ever need and the location beyond belief with the creek out your back door and the bike path out the front. I considered giving a rating of just 1star so no one would rent it and I could keep it all for myself but couldn't bring myself to do it. Seriously this place is amazing and we will definitely rent again.

We'll be back!

What a perfect location and an incredible place to stay. Amazing porch/lawn area.

Easy in/out from back yard into the pine creek.

BEST fishing hole and swimming hole just 50 yard paddle upstream.

We kept our entire crew content and entertained for the entire week.

Lots to hike, swim, float, paddle, fish, bike etc.

We also stay in the area over the winter, skiing is close by too.

The house met all of our needs and had all items necessary as we did cook most of our meals on site. When we did venture our we hit our local favorite spots. Waterville Hotel and the Hotel Manor, both are highly recommended.

Owner is prompt in all contacts and emails, it was an easy rental and we all enjoyed ourselves. We had kids and adults along, no one wanted to leave!!

Idyllic Setting!!

  • 5 of 5

Great spot, great cabin, & a great outdoors kind of place! We hiked, we biked, we explored the creek and toured the entire area-- all from this great location. Owners are great to work with, have outfitted the cabin with some neat touches, and are very helpful through the whole process. I would definitely come back again!!!

Serenity and Fun

  • 5 of 5

The property was as described, the owner responded immediately when we had an issue accessing the property. The location is perfect and lovely, right on both creek and trail, we biked and tubed without having to drive anywhere. We cooked our own meals which was easy with the amply-stocked kitchen. The deck and outdoor area was great, there were plenty of chairs, etc. for lounging. We had a great time and hope to return to this property again on our next visit.

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin! The location is great and the view is absolutely amazing!

  • 5 of 5

The owners were very responsive and helped us with any questions we had along the way. The cabin is decorated well and is very homey. We would def stay here again! Our only suggestions to make this property even better is to have water access- the bank is very steep and our children and myself had a hard time getting in and out and slipped several times- also the grass was very long and needed to be cut so maybe could be done more frequently in summer months. We truly enjoyed our vacation and thanks for maintaining a great property!
