Great place to stay!
This is a perfect getaway! Our host, Colleen was very helpful and guided us to some very cool destinations that we might not have found on our own. Quiet and peaceful home with all the comforts you might need. Highly recommend!
Beautiful mountain log home!!
Colleen was an amazing host, she had a fire in the wood stove when we arrived and her dogs are the best welcoming party. The bed was very comfortable and the house was just as depicted in the pictures. You will not be disappointed if you book this cabin for your stay in Fairbanks.
Wonderful hillside cabin
We stayed here 2 weeks seeking out the aurora and got a phenomenal show on Christmas Eve! The cabin has all you need for a pleasant stay and then some. Colleen was just a text away for the few times we needed some help. She is an excellent host and goes the extra mile to make you feel welcomed.
Warm and Charming
We were looking for a weekend retreat out of town with a wood stove and place that felt home-y. We LOVED Colleen's log cabin! Beautiful view, sunny day, snow caked trees, and the we kept the wood stove burning the whole time. Some of us went to the hot springs but a few of us stayed home to relax. Not too far from town but far enough away to feel removed from the city feel. Colleen was great about communicating before and during our stay. Just what we needed, a weekend away team building with co-workers and enough space for us to have separate areas but living and dining rooms were big enough to host us all. Well stocked kitchen and even some extras such as (oil, spices). Colleen thought of everything! Exactly what you think of when you imagine a remote Alaskan log cabin :)
Home away from home
We loved Colleen's beautiful log cabin and her friendly dogs. The perfect spot to stay with family, enjoy a family meal, sleep comfortably, and enjoy the aurora. What an exciting stay we had. The view is incredible. An experience we will always remember.
My partner and I stayed here for 6 days in the middle of a long trip through Alaska--it was the perfect place to rest and recharge for the next leg of our journey. We were a bit wary once we got on the unpaved roads leading up to the property (as a side note, yes, the roads leading to it are rough, including the driveway, but you'll quickly get used to it), but any hesitation went away the minute we saw the house! Full of Alaskan charm, equipped with every amenity you could ask for, this place is perfect. The weather didn't exactly cooperate for us while we were there, but we did get to see the Northern Lights one night, and if we had to be kept inside by cold and rainy weather anywhere, this house was the perfect place.
