This is the first 3 star-rating we have received for our unit in thirteen years. We are disappointed our guests did not find our unit to their liking. We have repeat renters who have enjoyed staying with us over the years and given us all 5-star ratings. With respect to parking, our townhome unit is the end unit of four in our building. We have a single car garage with a parking space in front which is dedicated to our unit. We are sorry our guest found the parking inadequate. Our neighbour next door does not have a truck, so we personally have never experienced a problem parking our SUV in front of our unit or accessing our garage when the neighbour is there. If our neighbour’s unit is rented, and if their guests park a truck in front, we have still been able to access the parking space in front of our unit with our SUV. Because the guests in this instance advised they had a half-ton truck, we suggested/recommended that they park in the visitor parking in front of our building. The visitor parking has straight easy-in and easy-out access and is more suitable for truck parking. We are sorry our guests found our unit cramped and uncomfortable. It is not clear whether the comment relates to all the furniture or just particular furniture. This is our own unit, personalized to our taste. The interior has been handcrafted by River City Woodwork, a well-known local artisan. We realize guest preferences are affected by what one is accustomed to at home. If one comes from a large home or farmhouse, our townhome may seem small however at 2500 sq. ft., it is suitable for us. The living room and dining areas have custom handcrafted built-in bench seating covered with authentic Tibetan rug upholstery sewn by the original owner who is a master seamstress. We love it, but we recognize it may not be to everyone’s taste or comfort. The beds have high-end king and queen mattresses. Two of the beds are custom captain beds and the second queen bed in the guest bedroom has been handcrafted. We have a Lazyboy leather three-seater couch in the lower TV viewing area. With respect to spider webs, we arrived at the unit shortly after our guests’ stay. We did see some spider webs on the track lighting in the master bedroom and main floor. We brought this to our cleaner’s attention, and she has assured us that she will check for spider webs in the future. As always, we welcome feedback from our renters so we can improve what our unit has to offer.
