We greatly enjoyed our time staying here. The house is large and the games room downstairs was great for our group! The kitchen was well equipped with everything that we needed to make meals. We all found the beds to be very comfortable. It was also a nice bonus that there were sandals to get out to the hot tub with if you forgot them. Overall, we had a fantastic time staying here and would return highly recommend!
Amazing Mountain home with everything you could want to have a fabulous family getaway. Well equipped kitchen, lots of space and beds for guests. Good beds, pillows and linens for a good nights sleep. So many nice touches in this gorgeous home. We spent Thanksgiving weekend with our family and grandkids and would love to come back! Thanks for a great stay Michel and Lara!
Very well-equipped property, with lots of nice added touches like Kleenex, shampoo, kitchen condiments. Kitchen has everything you need — and more. Hosts are very accessible and check-in was very easy. Definitely recommended!
This property was fantastic and well appointed. A great quiet stay to visit with good friends. Not to mention the unreal skiing and snowboarding with 23cm of fresh powder! Especially nice was the well appointed kitchen, with a group that cooks from scratch, it was nice to see sharp kitchen prep knives and a variety of cooking utensils and pots and pans.
We really enjoyed our stay in Fernie! The cabin has everything needed for hosting a large group including all kitchen essentials, a huge dining room table that could seat everyone, high chair, board games, pool table and hot tub! Walking to the lifts was doable, but was too far for the little kids in our group, so I wouldn’t call it true ski-in/ski-out, but was as close to that as really is possible for most of Fernie. Michael was extremely responsive throughout our stay, and checked to make sure we got in okay, as well as very quickly getting someone to come too up the hot tub when the kids splashed too much water out. It was an extremely relaxing and enjoyable home base for our week of skiing. We would definitely stay again!
We were a group of 12 adults in Fernie to celebrate my 50th birthday. We were there for moutain biking and hiking and a little of partying in between. The property was perfect for our group with plenty of room for all of us. The backyard was great with the hot tub, gazebo, and fire put for hanging out outdoors. In the evenings, there was plenty of room for us to dine, hang out, play games and generally have a great time. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We were so lucky to find Mich and Laura's property. It fit our family need to stay and have a reunion/wedding.
It is close to everything and had so many great features. The hot tub was great.
The extra bar fridges helped a lot!
Great place that has thought through all your practical needs. Stayed with a group of friends, we all had a great time. Michel was easy to get in touch with.
This is a beautiful, well-appointed home, that sleeps seven adults very comfortably. Great spaces for dining, socializing, and relaxing. The owners have taken great care with small niceties, like sandals for getting out to the hut tub, and enough boot and glove dryers for large groups. There was nothing we wished the home had that it didn’t.
We came up to fernie for a ski trip and this house was the perfect spot. Close to the ski hill, not far from town. Great house with plenty of beds and bathrooms. Bonuses: hot tub is huge, play room in the basement with games, priority parking pass usage. Next time we will bring the families but this time was nice with just the friends.
This home was perfect for our two families - beautiful, cozy and it felt like home. The home is very well stocked with everything you will need. Kids enjoyed the hot tub and pool table especially. Great location and close to all of our daily adventures. We enjoyed fly fishing, hiking, swimming/cliff jumping, whitewater rafting and exploring the beautiful downtown. The hosts were fantastic communicators before and during our trip!

Thank you Tifaney!
It was a pleasure hosting your group. We are very happy you stayed at our home. We wish your group all the best and we hope we can host you again.
We arrived at the house and it was just as we seen on the VRBO website. We walked in and immediately felt at home. The owners are always available for contact ! Perfect get away for our very busy family. We enjoyed everything about the home. The moose that visited the back yard was a bonus! We will be back
We have a group of 8 skiiers that came in for 5 nights and couldn't have been more taken back. The hosts were incredible. Friendly and quick to respond if needed. The chalet was beyond words. Spacious, clean, cozy and too many amenities to list (boot dryers, house coats for the hottub, etc). We would return and recommend to anyone.
Couldn’t have asked for a better location to enjoy Fernie Alpine. Just steps away from the lift, but in a tranquil private setting. Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us.
In the pictures, this was our dream chalet. And, it overdelivered.
Fantastic location with a surprising amount of privacy. Really cozy, while also having plenty of space for a big group. And... the pool table, games room, downstairs bar, hot tub and gazebo made us love our stay. Fun weekend, for sure!
Great communication with the hosts as well. Seamless from start to finish. Thanks for a great getaway!
Our family has been coming to Fernie for over 25 years, and it’s a place that holds many special memories for us. With a large extended family, we designed this home as a comfortable, welcoming space where everyone can relax, reconnect, and enjoy time together in a peaceful mountain setting. Our travels and stays in vacation homes around the world helped shape the thoughtful details you’ll find here. Please note we have a beautiful Lab/Husky cross and while our cleaning team carefully prepares the home for each stay, trace pet allergens may still be present.
Why they chose this property
The layout of this home provides the space for visiting with friends and family while providing the opportunity to retreat to the spacious bedrooms when needed. The crackling fire in the living room is the perfect area to relax after a day of skiing, biking or hiking while enjoying a glass of wine or local Fernie Brewing Company beer. The covered decks are a great way to start the morning with a cup of hot coffee and a blanket; with birds chirping and the wind rustling the trees, it is a refreshing start to the day away from the busy city.
