Lake Views & Family Friendly
Our lakehouse is a cosy 2 bedroom bach situated in the desirable 'Old Kinloch'. Sit back & enjoy the lake views from the lounge & 2 bedrooms. The house is set up for a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids), there are two singles & a roll out bed in the kids bedroom.
There is an additional sleepout which is attached to the garage. The sleepout has 2 bedrooms & a bathroom. An ideal setup for 2 families on holiday together. Note to access the large bedroom you need to pass through the queen bedroom & bathroom.
The main house has great indoor/outdoor flow with sliding doors opening out onto the deck from the lounge & bedrooms. French doors open out onto a sheltered courtyard with BBQ & outdoor dining area. It catches the sun all day & a great location to watch the sun set over the lake from the balcony.
Wifi is provided and there is a smart TV in the house.
Preschoolers need to be supervised on the front deck (lake side). A portacot, highchair & baby bath are available, and a range of kids books & toys. The house is on a large section with plenty of grassy areas to run around on. Please note that the section is not fully fenced.
A shed is available to lock bikes etc. Just bring your own padlock.
Located an easy 250m stroll to the lake, 160m to the marina & 450m to The Kinloch Store & cafe, where you can get a meal, coffee, ice cream, fish & chips or (over the summer a wood fire pizza).
Great area for biking & walking. Plenty of tracks to explore.
Kinloch is only a 20km drive (15min) to Taupo if you feel like exploring.
Guests will need to supply their own linen (sheets, pillowcases, towels, tea towels etc)- linen hire is a possibility on special arrangements only.
Pillow, duvets & blankets are provided.
Note this is a smoke & pet free house. The area is sloping and not suitable for tents. Large gatherings are not permitted & we ask that you respect our neighbors by limiting noise & loud music.
There is plenty of off street parking for a boat.
Please note, due to the size of the house it is not set up to cater for large bookings during winter months. Summer allows for outdoor dining & seating.
We are often updating areas of the house, so at times you might notice a painting project underway. Please note, no projects will interfere with the use of the house for guests.
Please leave the house as you found it. To make your stay more relaxing cleaning is charged for all stays for $100, (we pay an addition $80 per clean as well).

We're a young family of 4 & love to get away from the businesses of farmlife. Kinloch is our escape to a tranquil & safe environment where we can be adventurous or just chill out. We're slowly working on updating our bach, however it will remain a bach.
