There was no beach view. The front door keypad stopped working a couple times and we had to use the 2nd garage bay door to get into the house, both garage doors have issues with opening and closing. The 1st garage bay door started closing a few times while we were driving our rental vehicle in and out of the garage, the WiFi connection kept going out, the spa/hot tub lights weren't working properly, pool heater does not work when the hot tub is turned on. These things were not mentioned in the advertisement.

We take all guest comments seriously as we strive to provide a high-quality experience. ​Regarding the location, our listing accurately describes the home as being located three miles from the beach, so we are sorry if there was any misunderstanding regarding a beach view. Because of our inland location, we focus on providing a private, comfortable retreat away from the coastal bustle. ​We apologize for the technical difficulties you experienced with the keypad and garage doors. We have scheduled garage door replacement later this month. Sorry that did not happen prior to your visit but installers could not get there sooner due to holidays. Similarly, our IT provider has checked the router to address any intermittent connectivity issues. ​To clarify the operation of the pool and spa: it is standard for most residential systems to prioritize heating one body of water at a time to reach the desired temperature efficiently. When the spa is activated, the heater redirects to that smaller volume of water. We will look into adding a note to our welcome guide to make this clearer for future guests. As for the spa lighting, i don't feel a working spa light is mandatory. The light replacement is $1500. That is not a priority. Heather, I just found out yesterday that pool did not look good. Problem has absolutely been addressed. So sorry it didn't look good while you were there. I contacted pool service immediately and this is their response “Unfortunately the pool had a touch of algae, which is brought in from the environment (rain, wind, pool float, clothing, etc. ). It happens very quickly; can happen in a couple of hours. Once we learned of the situation, we immediately took action to eradicate the algae. We are sorry this happened during your stay.” I hope you will stay with us again.

My husband and I purchased home in summer of 2019. We just (September 2024) finished remodel of entire home with a great beachy feel. We stay at home occasionally but love to share it while we are not there.

Why they chose this property

This home is close to Downtown Englewood and so many fun spots like restaurants on the water. Love to watch the fish jump in the canal. Lemon Bay has tons of dolphins and manatees. Great boating, sailing, fishing, biking, kayaking and so mush more.

What makes this property unique

We love the layout of this home. Large sunroom. We don't even use the living room. Two master bedrooms. 3rd bedroom also has own bathroom. Love that we can boat to Lemon Bay directly from home.
