A great escape place with tons of privacy, built as a get away for two or entertaining for four and more.
All aspects of the house open up to a Fantastic Pebble Tec Pool and Immaculate Gardens that greet you upon entering through the front gate. The Adobe house is lined with Double French Doors that open up overlooking the pool. A sliding window from the kitchen makes grilling a breeze.
Both bedrooms have extremely comfortable queen sized beds and unique touches through out that makes this like no other Desert Home.
Full Stereo as well as Hundreds of LP's to take you on a stroll down Rock and Roll Memory Lane.

The best outdoor patio and pool at this welcoming home

Loved the Spanish style home, finished with love. Great, working, fireplace and the house, courtyard and pool could not be more welcoming. Recommend to pay extra to heat the pool in the cooler months. Note that the house is more on the rustic side, but very clean and well maintained. I would like to return.

Amazing host

We would give more stars if we could. Beautiful place. All the amenities of home. They really thought of everything. My husband and I stayed with my mom and dad and our 2 tiny dogs and had plenty of room. We loved the place and our pups felt comfortable there. The communication between us and the host was perfect. I had a couple of questions and he answered right away. We actually got into California earlier than expected and he allowed us to check in a little early. Simply amazing is all I can stay.

Property as advertised!

I’m going to preface this review with the home was beautiful and unique however, this has definitely been one of the most stressful vacations I have ever booked. The deposit and billing were an absolute nightmare. We discussed the deposit in advance however some glitch made the 1k cnd deposit come through as 2250USD. We finished our stay and were home and still trying to sort the admin mess with little help from VRBO to mitigate the issue. At one point we had paid out 5kcnd. Thankfully RJs communication and willingness to resolve this issue was prompt. Pros: the house and back yard were perfect for a private relaxing stay.If you are there during the cold months FOR SURE heat the pool, as it was a wonderful evening treat. The landscaping of palm trees and other desert cacti plants is really quite nice. The home itself is definitely unique and offers lots to peruse as well. There are lots of record to gander at, which is a nice touch. The kitchen and home are well equipped with everything you need for your stay. Comfortable beds and couches. We found that it was a good location in terms of being able to quickly hop on main roads to get us where we were going, but also being in a nice quiet neighbourhood.

Perfect house for a family getaway

This property was really wonderful. Kids had a great time swimming in the salt water pool. The house had everything you needed. Would love to stay here again!

Relaxing Getaway

Staying at RJ's house was just what we needed. The property is very private and secluded. You feel like you are in your very own oasis. We spent most of our time in the very relaxing pool! The house is neat and clean, with all the amenities you need. Close to shopping and great restaurants! We also loved that this was a dog friendly property. RJ was very easy to communicate with when we had questions. You won't be disappointed staying at this very warm, inviting, eclectic home. Thanks RJ, for a wonderful getaway!!

Paradise in the Desert!

This is our second time staying at this beautiful house and once again, it was paradise! It is a beautiful Spanish villa perfect for family and friends to relax inside and outside. The pool is an amazing salt water pool with pebble tech that feels awesome on tired feet. The misters feel great on sun kissed skin in the heat and the hammock is a great bonus to take a nap or read a book. The grill is the best there is and the communication is great with the owner! Highly recommend to stay here and give it 5 stars!

Fantastic private getaway tucked away in the dunes

This was such a relaxing and beautiful week. The pool was divine, the kitchen was great for cooking, and the location was secluded enough to be quiet and peaceful but close enough to head out on day trips to the mountains and Joshua Tree. The hosts were very responsive and kind. I highly recommend this gorgeous and relaxing getaway space!

A little slice of heaven

This property was awesome! RJ Trent was exceptional in communication with all of our questions and our request for accommodations. We enjoyed the pool we enjoyed the beautiful inside tiled floor the kitchen was wonderful. No complaints at all. If you have an opportunity try to stay at this property!

Unique property was a perfect home away from home

The house is very unique. We loved our stay! The pool and hot tub are very private. Kitchen is well equipped to fix any meal you'd like to make. If fact, of all the places I've stayed in the past, they had the best pots, pans, and knives. There are plenty of plates, glasses, utensils, etc. There are some spices too. Tne primary bed was very comfortable (and only one we used). The linens were nice and soft, not your typical low budget sheets. Had plenty of towels. The washer and dryer are nice to wash your clothes. The only negative that I can say about the place is that there is a slight odor from the treated wood (I assume). It is not a big deal. I have an extra sensitive nose, but my husband didn't smell it. I just sprayed air freshener and lit candles. We will definitely be back!

Lovely, private and unique property

We couldn't be happier with our stay at this home. It has a really unique desert Adobe style inside, and is a perfect fit for a couple or small family. The pool is perfectly cool in the day and warm in the evening (summer stay). The front wall is plenty high enough to give you total privacy as you lounge the day away. The owner is a great communicator and made us feel very welcome, and we're already talking about making our way back out here soon. Lookin forward to our next stay!

Peaceful Hidden Get Away

Lovely Home with a Beautiful Private Pool: Hard to Leave

Very pleased with the property and communications were excellent with the property owner. Pool area a delight! House layout really nice for a couple or couple with child or perhaps 2 couples. Loved the large bathroom & huge closet, outdoor bar area to kitchen, nicely stocked kitchen. Very small negatives and easy to fix: tattered pool cushions & towels; our check-in letter had read 2 pm and cleaning crew thought they had until 4 pm; mattress in one bedroom really uncomfortable so we switched to other bedroom; hot tub had sand or grit. We would stay here again, no doubt, having enjoyed the grill and pool area so much. The home has many nice features, and has a lot of character in a nice neighborhood.

Lovely Family Time

Our family loved our time here. I loved the southwest style and hot tub. My boys used the pool and the outdoor space a ton and we all slept well. The kitchen and dining areas were great. We wanted a place to easily enjoy the warm weather and pool and this was really nice. We hope to come back.

vacation paradise

This is a beautiful property and an ideal spot to relax and get some warm weather. The indoor and outdoor arrangement is pleasant and spacious. The furniture is comfortable and high end and the interior fixtures are artistic with hand-carved doors and custom made windows. Beds are very comfortable and there is good lighting for nighttime reading in one of the bedrooms but not in the master. The kitchen is well set up (except for knives) but almost no lighting. There are nice wine glasses, and we loved the gas fireplace for cold mornings. There is a coffee maker a tea pot and a blender. The gas grill outside is large enough to cook a Thanksgiving turkey and is gas piped so no worries about running out of fuel. Understand that the master bedroom and bath is one unit- but there is no door on the toilet or a door in between the bedroom and the bath( separated by a hall). There is also a small cut out in the master bedroom door that leads to the living area( a bird door?) that might impede privacy. Some issues: We paid to have the pool heated, but it was not done, I contacted the owner and it was warm by the next day. The hot tub was advertised as being ready to go, and after 9 hours in the car that is all I was interested in, but the temperature was at 84 and following the directions to turn it up did not work. It took 24 hours and a lot of back and forth and google searches to find out that it was set on SL( sleep) and needed to be adjusted. No directions for that. The oven broke on thanksgiving and the dishwasher took two hours and the dishes were still dirty. It also had a bad odor. The owner was responsive and gave us a free night for our troubles, but I would have preferred that the hot tub and pool had been set up before we arrived. There are nice hiking areas in the vicinity, but if you are looking for anything but a strip mall for a meal out, you might be out of luck. There is nice furniture in the pool area, but no shade, an umbrella would be a nice addition. We loved the magical fairy garden and the nighttime lights as well as the misting system. All in all it is a lovely spot and I would go again.
