A house so close to the beach was exactly what our family needed for this vacation. The house was perfect for our large family and the kids loved the pool as well. We did have a bit of trouble figuring out which place was ours but the hosts were extremely responsive and helpful throughout our stay and we settled in nicely. We would definitely stay here again!

First management of the property was cery very quick to respond. We arrived early and it was quick and easy to add early check in. The house was clean and the location was great.. just a short path to the private beach. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. All 8 of us had a great time

Place was pretty dirty from the get-go, found numerous random stray hairs in our room and in the bathrooms.Worst part was ending up with hundreds of bedbug bites. The entire family got numerous bites, that apparently continue to appear up to three weeks after exposure so my family and I are still dealing with them.Overall, even aside from the dirtiness and the bed bugs, the place is not great. The HEATED POOL that they proudly declare you'll have access to is actually a three mile drive away. The unit feels like the owners never actually stay there themselves, lots of little inconsistencies and a lack of human touch.We reached out to VRBO and to the host about the bedbugs but nothing was offered. So we spent thousands to get harmed and have had to pay for dermatology appointments ourselves

Stay at Tybee

The house was in need of some tlc. A few chairs were broken, the vinyl siding outside was warped in a spot. The vent covers in several rooms were rusted and the towel bar was broken off in the bathroom on the first floor. We paid a lot of money to stay and it was really worn. The beach access was beautiful and private. The lighting going down the steps outside was very poor and while we packed up this morning to leave two people in my party missed the last step because of darkness and fell.

The house is comfortable and clean it could use an update, but there is plenty of room. The walk to the beach is comparable to other rentals and the beach is pretty isolated at the juncture of the river and the ocean. However "the" pool is on the other side of Tybee from this house, 4 miles, there is no parking at the pool and you cannot rent a golfcart from this address. So unless you have someone to drop you off and walk back from one of the beach Parking areas, you are pretty much stuck with the beach Anyway the location isn't great.

glorious spot!

I cannot imagine a better place to stay on Tybee Island. It has a spectacular view of the marshes, its wildlife, and it's only a few steps from the sandy beach! If you're a photographer or painter, you'll love this location, and it has plenty of space for a group of 9 adult friends to spend time together.

Family Beach vacation

We had a wonderful time with our family. It was a Christmas present to our son and his children. The walk to the ocean was short The property was clean and well maintained. It was perfect for our family. My grandchildren had an amazing time. There was enough space for the 11 of us. We didn’t want to leave.

Clean peaceful location

Private location with water access. Not exactly ocean front, but on the Savannah' river. If you like quiet and privacy, it is a nice location. With quick access to restaurants and 15 miles from Savannah

Great time by all!!!

Total of 11 stayed at this house and we had a fantastic time!!! Loved the privacy of the beach area and enjoyed our time by the water. We rented paddle boards and kayaks and everyone had a great time with it being the calmer water. We saw a bunch of dolphins which was one of our highlights.

There were 8 of us. We all fit easily. The house was perfect .. Tybee Island was a great place to have fun, relax, and catch up n my sisters. We highly recommend a visit to this friendly, family oriented island. Great property.

Good communication

Southern Belle did a great job of setting expectations upfront and communicating all the relevant details multiple times before our stay. The property was just as described and was a perfect for our family trip. It was clean and spacious and in a quiet location great for our family.

Sound side beach access

The inside was very spacious and clean. 2 bedrooms downstairs and then the master upstairs with the loft area. I do wish the location of the bedrooms was specified prior to our stay, as then we would have planned better for kid sleeping arrangements. The beach is a short walk. It is a sound side beach with little to no waves or tide pools. For our kids, we did end up driving to the north beach access every day so that the kids could get more of a beach experience with tide pools and waves. When we booked, we were hoping for more of a beach front experience. But from looking up the address of the house, you can see that it is sound access only. The view is of the marshes and the river. The sunset could be seen nightly from the porch and was beautiful. We would consider staying here again understanding that the beach is sound access.

Great First Stay

Really enjoyed the stay / location. Very responsive to any questions or concerns. Enjoyed the private beach access and proximity to all the attractions. Easy walking distastance to the local pizza and coffee place. Nice, quiet and relaxing overall. The mattresses on the futons could be better but overall a great experience which the whole family enjoyed. Would recommend to anyone.

Perfect Beach House & Rental Process

Family of 8 stayed in this beauty for a week and intend on coming back! This house is clean, roomy, and inviting. The beach access was perfect and it was so quiet and relaxing. The house has a lot of extras like bikes, sand pails, fishing rods, garage big enough for 2 trucks, and more. Check in and out were a breeze.
