unit was very nice, very clean, and well maintained. great pool area. Plenty of sun and shade. All the pool furniture was nice. Location is wonderful. However, none of the bedrooms upstairs had ceiling fans, and you could not adjust the temperature of the unit. It was very uncomfortable upstairs. Sleep upstairs was terrible. Never rented a unit that did not have ceiling fans in all bedrooms. For that reason alone, we would not rent this unit again.

Nice home.

Catherine was very accommodating and we appreciate how responsive everyone was to our requests (even when it was our mistake!). The only improvement I would suggest would be to allow guests to adjust the thermostats as it was locked at 76 degrees.

Nice neighborhood and area.

Biggest issue the cost of the property was listed in English pounds on VRBO. We didn’t realize it and we were charged an extra $1000 dollars on our credit card for 24 days. VRBO refused to do anything about it even though VRBO’s bylaws say all listings will be in US dollars! VRBO suggested I cancel, it was too late and would have lost my deposit's. Also it wasn’t listed that there was an extra charge for heating the pool in the original add .it cost an extra $30 a day to heat the pool.The microwave and stove are outdated.The beds in the 3 upstairs bedrooms are the lowest quality beds you can buy. The foosball table is very cheap and held together with glue, wouldn’t let anyone play it. The TV upstairs in the sitting area is an old tube TV with a half green picture. The downstairs Master Suite was very clean and comfortable . There are stains in the rugs with one hidden by a throw down rug in front of the couch downstairs. . Otherwise this home is very comfortable and a nice home, The pool is very nice with a pool bathroom outside which is great so you don’t track water through the house. Nice gated community. House maintenance person responded very quickly to any issues. Owner needs to do a couple upgrades and this house would be a 5. Would recommend

Comfortable and Clean

The property is comfortable and mostly clean. We have stayed in this property before (comfortable) however there were issues this time. Cracked microwave door..you could still use the microwave but this was a little scary. The beds in the 3 upstairs bedrooms need new mattresses and new pillows, clean but uncomfortable. One the upstairs bathrooms had a dirty shower curtain. The downstairs Master Suite was very clean and comfortable but needs new pillows. My biggest grievance was the kitchen stove..one burner didnt work and the drip pans were covered in aluminum foil. Drip pans for electric stoves are very cheap. I just wondering why not just replace the drip pans..just a thought. Otherwise this home is very comfortable..just need to spruce it up/repair certain items however in spite of the lacking items, I would recommend it.

Haven in the theme-park madness

This was our 5th attempt at a Florida holiday since March 2020... We were so glad we finally succeeded! Firstly, the photos on VRBO do not do the property justice but I have raised this with Cath. Due to a hip and shoulder break a few months earlier I had dibbs on the ground floor master suite, this was huge with sooo much drawer and hanging space I could have stayed for a year and not used it all. The bed was like sleeping on a giant marshmallow, had to force myself to get up in the morning! The massive Walmart is only 10-15 mins away (tiny distance but 2 left turns on Hwy27) Aldi is across 27 and great for the store cupboard staples. To travel to Disney property takes anything between 65-75mins due to the high volume of traffic on I4, no road works as these are done at night, Universal 90-105mins so allow for that in your theme park commute. The rest of the family went to "Mickey's not so scary" and I picked them up and I was back in the villa in 70mins and there were fewer cars/18 wheelers on the I4. This is a lovely villa on a very secure gated estate and we would all recommend it without hesitation, thanks Cath and family!

Lovely stay

We had a lovely stay at this property. The house had everything we required and more. There was plenty of space and the neighbourhood is nice and quiet. Easy drive to Disney and Universal.

Lovely Villa

We stayed here for 2 weeks and can honestly say it was a lovely place to stay. Very clean, spacious and just a homely feel from the second we stepped through the door. On average it would take us about 45 minutes to get to the parks from the Villa, could be more or less depending on the I4 traffic but we found it to be a great base location. Great communication with owner, easy to find with the directions Cath provided. Would definitely recommend 👍

Overall this location was great for our family. There were small things like small black bugs that would gather on the pool, the oven smoked heavily during the 1st use due to cleaner left in it, and some of the dishes has residue on them. We were surprised that the AC was not supposed to be turned under 75 degrees. The house is beautiful and the neighborhood feels very safe and secure. The home owner corresponded well through email. The location gave us good access to SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, Adventure Island, and other local attractions. The community has all the convinces that you would need.

The home is a nice set up

All in all…the house was set up nicely. A few things could be improved. The carpet had crumbs on it when I arrived and could definitely be cleaned…lots of spots and stains. There is a true ant problem in the home. By the second day the main bath tub was filled with dead ants. Also the sheets and bedding can be refreshed…some sheets upstairs had stains on them and my teens were a bit reluctant to sleep in these beds. I would just recommend deep cleaning and some new bedding and towels. Otherwise the pool and patio area was great as well as the space for our stay.

Florida trip for graduation of my niece

It was only my mom and myself, but this house was close to the airport, and close to the graduation venue. Location was easy to find and neighborhood is super quiet, and very well kept. The house is huge and the pool is spectacular! Having the pool was great therapy for my mom since she has to walk with a walker due to knee and back issues. We had a wonderful time there and look forward to coming back for vacations in the future.

Stayed a week...

We had a lovely time while staying at the property. The AC had malfunctioned right before our visit. Cath was very upfront and communicated before our arrival that there was an issue. She answered all of my questions in a timely manner and she was so nice! We have stayed in this neighborhood many times and have never been disappointed. Walmart is very close for grocery items. Disney Springs, Universal City Walk and all the Disney Parks are only an hour drive. You can't go wrong in this gated community. Thank you so much for allowing my boys and I to stay for the week. 🙂

Family Vacation

We enjoyed our time at this property. It was a very safe and quiet neighborhood. This was a family vacation including our 4 children and my parents and this home accommodated all of us well. We did travel to Disney, Clearwater Beach, and Cocoa Beach several days. They all were close enough as long as you paid attention to traffic time before leaving. Would recommend.

Feel like second home

Nice place to stay, everything there like at home, all the furniture was comfortable either bedrooms, living room, dining room also patio furniture. Easy access to property even with the guardian at the gate. We were they as a golf trip so it was easy to get to all the golf course, grocery store. We enjoyed our stay and looking forward to come back again next year.

I live in North West England with my husband. We both work full time and spend what ever holidays we can in the villa. It's like home from home. We fell in love with Disney the first time we went in 1993 and visited Florida 3 more times before deciding to buy a property. We have 2 grownup daughters who are as nutty about. Disney as we are and they join us whenever commitments allow. The climate suits us and the people out there are so friendly and helpful. I still feel a ripple of excitement every time we go knowing that the weather, even if it rains, will be warmer than back in England and we can relax and forget about work.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We chose Calabay Parc at Tower Lake because it was a new development. With easy access to the theme parks and other areas of Florida it was an ideal central location to have a base. Disney is approximately 30 minutes away, near enough to get to but far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle of the crowds. Being a gated community meant that the area would be relatively secure for ourselves and our guests. There are many shops, takeaways and restaurants within a 15 minute drive, including a large Walmart with filling station less than 5 minutes away. The grounds in Calabay Parc are well kept with plenty of room between villas and overall is quiet, peaceful and relaxing.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Being a 2 storey property, 3 of the 4 bedrooms are upstairs making the open plan ground floor very light and spacious. There is a den area upstairs with a foosball table, TV and DVD should the children want to do or watch something different. The back of the villa is south facing getting the sun from dawn to dusk. The private pool has safety fencing separating it from a large patio area where children can play, adults can relax and the family can enjoy a BBQ (provided). The pool and patio can be accessed from the dining area, lounge and 1st master bedroom. We also provide, free of charge, a cot/playpen, highchair and stair gate, towels, bed linen and a hairdryer. English Premiership football is available most days during the season along with free local and national telephone calls.
