About Siobhan Goodfield
About the owner I am a mother of three now adult children and our family has always enjoyed holidays in beautiful Northumberland since my childhood. While the children were teenagers we used the house solely for family holidays but for the last five years have let it for certain times of the year as well. Year purchased: 2006
Siobhan Goodfield purchased this House in 2006
Why Siobhan Goodfield chose Chathill
We bought this house having been charmed by the setting, its space and its proximity to the best of many pleasures in Northumberland: the beaches with their golden sand and dunes, castles and stately homes and gardens, and the magical islands of the Farnes, including Lindisfarne itself, and all of this whilst being away from the crowds of the very popular coastal villages themselves. What more could you want!
What makes this House unique
Situated in a quiet unspoiled village close to the coast, Woodlea is the ideal place to escape life's stresses, and from which to enjoy the coastal and inland delights of Northumberland. It's spacious and flexible living space and garden lends itself to couples or extended families or groups of friends. It has a pretty enclosed garden, views over peaceful open countryside, including from a decked area overlooking a small protected woodland and the stream behind the house. With all modern facilities, as one of our guests said, it is a real 'home from home' with its teenage area on the top floor, full central heating and wood burner for those relaxed evenings after a day of exploring the areas many pleasures.

Spacious, well equipped house
We enjoyed a short break in this area of Northumberland, the house is in the countryside but well placed for visiting attractions. The house is spacious and nicely decorated, well equipped and lots of bathrooms/toilets.
Extremely comfortable and very well equipped
House is in a quiet countryside area. There is decking at the bottom of the garden over a small river where we had breakfast every morning. So relaxing. The house is in a great spot to explore Northumbria, or just stay in and chill.
The kitchen is so well equipped, but mostly we tried quite a few of the local pub/restaurants, which were very good.
The beds were very comfortable with good quality bed linen. Pleasant bathrooms 2 with showers, one with a bath. Plus 2 extra WC’s.
The property felt extremely clean and very well looked after. We would definitely recommend it.
Lovely comfortable home
We loved this house, it was spacious and comfortable. Had everything we needed for our stay, including sunshine! What more could you ask for.
A great base for excellent days out
Woodlea was excellent for our family group of three generations. The grandchildren loved the top floor accommodation and the open plan ground floor was spacious and practical.
