Many thanks for your lovely review – it's always good to hear our guests' comments on their stay.
Super property with fabulous outlook. The most comfortable bed and luxury linen. Well equipped and provisioned - welcome pack greatly appreciated. Ideally located with plenty of tea rooms and hostelries within a short distance. The veranda is beautiful and the garden very pleasant but not totally secure for a small, inquisitive canine companion - not a problem as plenty of walks on the doorstep. The unmade lane approach is very narrow and needs careful navigation but worth it when you reach Chapelmarsh. Personally, when paying a premium, i think a more ample firewood provision should be made available.Overall, a delightful property in an enviable location.

Many thanks for your great review. And good to hear comments for future preferences: We will ensure enough firewood is supplied in the Starter Pack and especially during colder spells.
What a delightful cottage!Chapelmarsh is in a wonderful location for bird and nature lovers with fabulous views down to the sea and walks that can be taken from the door. The cottage was really comfortable with all you need for a relaxing vacation. We stayed over the New Year and were left a really generous welcome pack including mulled wine, sparkling wine, quality chocolates and mince pies. The cottage was full of quirky detail and decorated with style. Highly recommended!

The converted chapel is very warm and comfortable with long distant sea views. Spotless and well stocked as well as a grouse welcome pack from the owners.
Chapelmarsh is gorgeous. You won't want to do much once you arrive. So comfortable, with everything you need. The views from the terrace are wonderful. Great location for a peaceful break with good walks and beach very close.

We had a lovely weekend, the house was spotlessly clean, warm and cosy. The views out to sea are beautiful and after a busy week it was lovely to sit on the verandah with a glass of wine in a sheltered spot breathing in the views.

This guest told us that the cottage was warm and comfortable as it always is in winter months with powerful central heating radiators in each room as well as an open fire in the lounge, otherwise if there was an issue with the heating at the time of her stay then of course it would have been resolved - so I don’t understand her review?
The property was checked on her departure and there was no damp smell in the boot room - again if we were alerted to this issue during her stay every endeavour would have been made to resolve it.
Sadly, this is our first two-star review in 15-years - you sometimes can’t please everyone!
You’ll have a fab time if you choose to stay here … super comfy bedding and all the mod cons ….great location ..close to the beach for walks etc… can recommend the local pub too .. The Dun Cow … 5 mins walk .. great food and atmosphere…

The property is beautifully finished, quirky and welcoming. Garden is lovely with wonderful views - our determined cocker spaniel did manage to escape but a tactically placed plant pot solved the problem. Great location for coastal walks and lovely pub just a short stroll away. Would highly recommend.

Surprised to hear your dog escaped what is normally a totally enclosed dog-friendly garden – thank goodness all is well.
I've checked it and all is secure again.
Clean comfortable and cosy cottage.Well equipped with great heating and loads of hot water.Great views over the marshes to sea.Accessed by narrow rutted lane.Fantastic pub - the Dun Cow - within 200m of property.

Former international fashion designer, and multi-awarded winning hotelier. Currently I run three highly successful holiday cottages with my partner on the North Norfolk coast. Author of bestseller: 'Samphire Coast' and Norfolk-set 'The Cedar Cage' (noir-fiction - psychological mystery thriller).
Why they chose this property
Great period building in a stunningly picturesque location overlooking the famous bird watching nature reserve to the sea.
Peacefully located yet a short 5-minute stroll to the beach and all the amenities of Salthouse Village. Nearby are all the fabulous attractions that North Norfolk has to offer.
This locale is famed for it's hauntingly scenic, wild beauty, it's no wonder artists, writers, and filmmakers flock to this part of the North Norfolk coast.
What makes this property unique
Chapelmarsh contains a wealth of period features, including an original stained-glass panel, which we restored during our renovation in 2012. We offer a truly high-spec accommodation with all the modern amenities necessary for a luxurious, wonderful stay, moreover the sea-views from the cottage are absolutely breathtaking!
Many of my interiors have featured in magazines, and combined with our experience of running a former multi-award winning boutique establishment dubbed the 'Best B&B in England' over a number of years, so we know what will appeal to the discerning visitor. Attention to detail is paramount! Something really special that makes our holiday cottages stand out from the rest, and a place where you will want to return time and time again!
