Jordan Bay has very few seasonal residents or renters, making this neighborhood peaceful and intimate. We have 150' of waterfront and a large platform dock with a float (installed 2015) on the shores of one of the cleanest lakes in the USA and the water supply of greater Portland.
The property is 1.68 acres and has 5 structures on it: the main 2br house, the 1br cottage, the bunkhouse, a 2 car garage, and a workout gym. Renters have access to all buildings except the 2 car garage. The property is an ideal configuration for extended families or 2 families to share the expenses and enjoy both a private and combined space together.
The main house has 2 bedrooms (1 king, 1 queen) and a trundle bed in the living room (2 twins). The cottage has 1 queen bed. The bunkhouse has two bunkbeds (one is 2 twin beds and one has a twin + full bed - a great option for kids to have a sleep out of their own!). One of the garages has been converted to a gym with CrossFit equipment.
Our property is fenced on 3 sides (the unfenced side the the waterfront) and includes a smaller fenced-in area off the main house. We love dogs and welcome canine visitors as long as their humans pick up after them :) All gates along and within fence lines have carabiner clips to keep them secure if needed.
Waters Edge At Sebago is conveniently located to nearby shopping in North Windham, a gourmet market, a marina and only 35 minutes north of Portland, ME. It's about a 45 minute drive to Freeport via route 115 and about 12 minutes from the Maine Turnpike in Grey, ME.
The property is located less than a mile off a meandering private road from route 302. We are separated from route 302 by about 100+ acres of privately owned green space. Waters Edge is on Jordan Bay, a quiet cove of year round dwellers and a handful of seasonal homes. There is not a lot of car traffic or people coming and going in our area. The neighborhood has lots of beautiful roads for walking your dog or going for a long run. Everyone who spends time here loves the expansive beauty it offers - early morning calls of loons, the occasional fly by of a bald eagle, families of ducks swimming by to find their lunch, majestic sunsets, and gentle breezes to cool you down during the warm Maine summer nights.
We are health conscious people and Waters Edge at Sebago reflects our desire to live a healthy, active lifestyle. We have converted one of the structures into a CrossFit gym which includes a pullup bar, barbells, weights, weightlifting rack, wall balls, kettlebells, bands, and other mobility items.
The deepest lake in New England, Sebago Lake is a sandy bottom lake and retains the most glorious temperature from June - September. One dip in what we call "nature's bathwater" and you won't want to get out! Our property is ideal for the fisherman/woman, as we are directly in front of where the salmon run from nearby Panther Pond.
Waters Edge At Sebago is a strictly non-smoking property. (Anyone who smokes or would be inviting along friends/family who smoke will need to look elsewhere for a rental property). For this reason, we will not rent to large groups or those looking for a place to hold large parties or gatherings where the smoking policy can not be adequately enforced. Unfortunately our trust has already been broken by one such group, so this is a firm policy.
Please note: Maximum occupancy reflects the capacity of beds in both the main house and the cottage combined. There are bunkbeds ideal for children in the bunkhouse (3 twins and 1 double), but because there is no bathroom in the structure, we have NOT included it the total maximum capacity.
