We spent 5 nights at lovely L'Incanto, part of a 12 night visit to Italy. Honestly, I could have spent the whole 12 nights here and been very happy... The home is beautiful, very spacious with a huge great room (kitchen / living room). We are a family of 4 -- two parents and two teenagers - and there was always plenty of space. The washer / dryer was very helpful as well. We spent a ton of time on the deck, which has the most amazing view of the Tyrrhenian Sea. It made for a very relaxing time, especially compared to Italy's busy cities.
We had a car, and given the parking situation on the Amalfi Coast, I can tell you the importance of the reserved parking. From L'Incanto, we explored Pompeii, Capri, Sorrento, Salerno, and of course, Amalfi, where we stopped numerous times for groceries and other shopping. The little market in Furore was also very helpful. The food is so amazing in this region, if you at all enjoy cooking, the ingredients you have access to are the freshest and most flavorful you will find anywhere. I think they can feed all of Italy from here.
Speaking of food, one of our most memorable meals out was at Serafina, an Agriturismo, which is run by Dominic, his wife, and two daughters. Everything you eat there was grown / processed there, including the wine and olive oil. An experience you'd be hard pressed to match. Another great meal was in Amalfi at La Taverna di Masaniello -- wonderfully prepared Italian food, like my Noni used to make.
Also well worth it is the hike down to the Fiordo (Fjord). About 1300 steps down from the house, but well worth the trip there and back. The beach and swimming were fantastic, and the scenery was gorgeous.
After our trip, we evaluated each stop we had made, and our family's favorite, hands down, was the time we had spent at L'Incanto. The cities were nice in their own right, but all of us enjoyed the peace and relaxation of the Amalfi Coast, and the beautiful deck of L'Incanto, overlooking the sea.
Pascuale and Giovanna were very helpful as well. You will not be disappointed in staying here.
