Guestbook comments from the owner

Henry -

I just wanted to let you know that we had a great time last week at Snowshoe. The condo was comfy and had everything we needed, especially in the kitchen where we fixed most of our own meals. It was convenient to the slopes (which luckily received a foot of snow the two days prior to our first day riding), quiet for the most part (I think there were some college break kids around), and we enjoyed the cable TV and a couple of movies.

Great experience- family of four

  • 5 of 5

I was the typical problem vacation renter. Extended the dates of our stay at the last minute then forgot to pay for the extra night and Henry sent a PayPal request. Also helped in getting a later checkout as we were there for spring break weekend. He was always very responsive to my emails, including during non business hours.

Place is great on the second floor overlooking the side of themountain without all the tourists, which I liked. Right next to Starbucks and the ballhooter lift. You don't even have to go outside to go to Starbucks, should charge extra for that one. Family of four and we brought the air mattresses but the couch bed was perfect for the girls, and that is not a given for couch beds. There is a DVD player, not sure if that is listed but we missed that info. Kitchen is nice and we used it for all of our meals. Highly recommend the location and the owner.

Beautiful MOUNTAIN SUNSET View

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in this condo. There was a delay due to housekeeping running behind Mr Dietzel was VERY easy to reach and resolved issue QUICKLY. We appreciated the underground parking and the Starbucks being in the same bldg. The bed is VERY FIRM, I would bring along a feather bed or topper next time. Mr Dietzel offered 12:00 checkout, which was an AWESOME gesture. Restaurants were good in quality but, when busy, very slow. The skiing was a blast. I love Snowshoe and I'm READY TO GO BACK. Watching weather for 32 and below.

Great Experience

  • 5 of 5

Harry -

Just wanted to say thank you for letting us stay at the lodge and being so accommodating, especially with the earlier check-in. Everything was great, especially the VHS (i'd forgotten about those) of Finding Nemo. My 4 y/o daughter watched it every night.

I was happy to finally try someplace new as opposed to staying at Allegheny every year. Location was perfect and the view was really nice as well.

The parking garage was the real winner. I've been to Snowshoe at least 6 times and had no idea that garage existed. We actually got the spot right next to the elevator so it worked out better than we could've imagined.

We'll definitely be in touch if we end getting to go back next year. Thanks again.

All you could ask for - Very well equipped

  • 5 of 5

We rented the full studio unit. I am an owner of rental property myself and have found that sometimes it's the little things that can make all the difference. This unit is well located inside the building only a 4 or 5 rooms down from the elevator. It's nice not to have to walk the length of a building just to get you your room. It's also located just above the hot tubs so an adult can stay in the room and watch the (over 12) kiddos play in the hot tub (if you like). This owner has equipped the kitchen with pretty much everything and anything you might need for a stay. Pizza pan(s), numerous pots, pans and plenty of plates, nice 4-slice toaster & even a crock pot as well as the little things like wisk and pizza cutters all make using the kitchen everything you would want. There's a DVD/VCR combo plus a variety of videos that can help the little (and big) ones pass the time should the weather not cooperate. The larger sized studio made it a good option for 4 people and there is a full sized dinette so everyone can sit down at the table to eat. I've stayed in studio's in SnowShoe that you could not wedge 3 adults into even if you tried so finding this unit available was nice. We will DEFINITELY try to rent this unit again next season!
