About this property

Mountain Retreat With Private Dock Close To Tamarack! Family Reunions Welcome!

Located in a secluded cul-de-sac, our vacation home is just a short walk down a private trail to Lake Cascade. There you can enjoy the sandy beach at a deep water cove and use our private boat slip to dock your boat for an overnight stay.

Inside, you'll find a beautiful and relaxing stay with comfortable furnishings throughout 2900 sq ft. The Plantation Retreat comfortably sleeps 12. The main floor has 2 master bedrooms with their own on-suite bathrooms, one contains a large soaker tub. The large kitchen is completely stocked and contains a gourmet 5 burner stove, stainless steel appliances, oven and convection oven, with granite counter tops. A griddle, Kitchen-aide mixer, and crock-pot are available for your gatherings. The kitchen is open to a large family room and breakfast nook. Behind french doors is the formal dining/ office space.
Upstairs two more bedrooms each contain a queen bed and futon share a bathroom. Through the mudroom/laundry area, you can head upstairs to the bonus room over the garage. The bonus room boasts two sets of bunkbeds, a couch and TV entertainment area and a full bathroom.

The oversized garage contains a boot/glove drying rack, plenty of wall hooks to hang coats in the winter or towels and beach gear in the summer. The home has a large wrap around porch that is completely covered. A gas barbeque grill and two picnic tables on the back porch mean meals are great outside while there is a crackling fire in the backyard fire pit.

We are located 90 miles from Boise, Idaho up the Payette Scenic River Byway. Only a few minutes from the new Tamarack Resort and Lake Cascade. A 20 minute trip to nearby McCall, Idaho and beautiful Payette Lake features plenty of shopping and restraints. Brundage Mountain Ski Resort is about 15 minutes past McCall.

Turn off all lights, make sure all windows and doors are closed and locked before leaving property. Thank you!

Great place for a big family

We had about 14 people here - 4 adults, some teenagers, and kids. Everyone had a good time. There was space to spread out. The lake is close. The neighborhood is very quiet.

Love this place!

We have stayed at this home several times over the last 5 years. Always clean and fully stocked with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Large enough for a big family. Close to Cascade and McCall. The host, Cameron has always been amazing to deal with, very responsive and cooperative. Thank you, we love staying at this house. Already planning dates for next year!

Snowmobiling getaway

House accommodated our group of 12 nicely. We were about 30 minutes from Brundage. So it was easy for where we spent most of our time. The garage access was so convenient. The garage was bigger than we needed! We were able to park 3 trucks with 2 trailers easy enough in the driveway.

Family vacation

Spent 5 days here. House was good size for us. Quick walk to the lake and dock. House was clean. Had no towels but finally found them in the dryer. Ran out of garbage bags and paper towels so did have to buy some in town. I know there is a filter on the water system so the water is safe, however it is yellow/brown and has a strong metallic smell.

Quiet, relaxing getaway

This house was wonderful for our family Christmas getaway. We loved the open layout that allowed us all to be in one place while cooking, eating and relaxing in the living room. And yet, there was plenty of space to spread out for "alone time." The young people went to Tamarack for skiing and the older adults cooked, did puzzles, watched movies and relaxed to lots of Christmas music. We lost our wife/mom/grandma 4 months prior, and this was the change of Christmas traditions we needed to ease the sadness. Thank you!

Nice home

Beautiful home in a secluded and quiet area about a quarter mile from a lake. The lake is filled with algae, so it wasn't something anyone of us wanted to jump into. We had four couples, two of which had young children. The home accommodated all 12 of us very well and it is nicely appointed. Two bedrooms had their own bathrooms, as did the large bedroom over the garage with bunkbeds. We greatly appreciated the owners allowing us to move the date of our stay due to the heavy smoke from fires nearby. However, there were a few items in the home that surprised us. The glass rotating tray in the microwave was missing. The water has high minerals and iron and is not desirable to drink, so we had to run to the store and get lots of water bottles. The water filter on the fridge had not been replaced for 3 years, so that wasn't an option. The king bed felt lumpy. There are holes in the walls with cables, etc., running out of them. The kitchen wasn't clean. We would have also enjoyed being able to turn on the gas fireplace.

We have been vacationing in Donnelly for several years. It is a great location that feels secluded yet is not too far away from towns. It is right next to the lake for awesome summer fun, but also close to both Tamarack and Brundage Ski Resorts for winter escapes.
