Location, Location... Inspiring, 4 bedroom, 3 bath, oceanfront estate. Lawns,tide pools, gated property. Wake up before coffee and go snorkel or when the surf is up swim in the pool while watching dramatic views of waves and blowholes.

Incredible oceanfront views of the entire coast- (mesmerizing views from the living/dinning room, bedrooms, deck and front lawn.) Listen to the waves breaking. World-class North Shore location. On Ehukai beach between Waimea Bay and Pipeline. Short walk to the supermarket and Starbucks. Not on the main road (road noise is very uncommon in this area)

Dark wood kitchen, rich natural cork floors, one king bed, two queen beds, two twin beds and one full bed, private deck with outstanding views, three baths and generous private parking on the property. The 4th bedroom and 3rd bath are a separate studio with kitchenette, separate entrance, deck and is on it's own level in the house with exterior access to the rest of the house. Linens, towels, silverware... provided.

Steps away is sand, tide pools, some of the best snorkeling on the island, and blowholes. Miles of open beach to the right and protected beach and snorkeling to the left. A world-class coastline awaits you...

Lava rock beach tide pools and snorkeling heaven under your feet.

We came from the Marriott Ko Olina straight to this rental. The Ko was immaculate, this house was better (for us). You look out on Banzai pipeline on the right which is a sandy beach, and Sharks Cove on the left, which is a rocky snorkel area. There are lava rocks you have to navigate if you snorkel so watch the kids close. The beach has strong shore breaking waves even when the surf is low. But the sea life (sea turtles, fish, eels, schools of fish) and the wave action on the lava and the whales on the horizon and the food trucks and grocery store across the street - all made this our kind of place. It is not a 5star Ko Olina- the house has a few quirks, but it worked well for us. Oh yea, owner has a bunch of water toys (and beach chairs, towels, kitchen stuff) at the place ready to go as well, from old junk to new and good- that is kind of how it is thru the house, just sort it out and go. Sunsets with the green flash. Quiet street (no road noise, little to no foot traffic).

Nice location, decent house, poor management

When we arrived the cleaning lady just got there to clean from last renters and she had no clue it was rented again. We had to wait 3 hrs before getting in which was really disappointing because we all took off work early that day in order to start our holiday weekend early. She was nice enough to let us finish laundering the sheets so we could check in before dark. Then the small bedroom smelled like vomit. We brought a strong candle and were able to mask the smell somewhat. When we emailed the property manager, Steve, he ignored our concerns and instead changed the subject to complain about our noise (8 of us) and parking a car on the lawn (which one car was because no room for 4 cars, and if you live in HI you know it’s a very very common thing to park a car or two on part of a lawn for a short visit). He used vulgar language in his email to us which shocked us and made us feel like he could show up and berate us at any moment. Which actually he did make one appearance and let himself in while we were all on back porch listening to music and signing karaoke. He walked, unannounced, and sat himself outside amongst our group and just watched us until we noticed he was a complete stranger and asked who he was. He rudely asked us to keep the music down and then left but never answered us when we asked if he was “Steve”. It was quite strange. Still not sure who the stranger was but the entire experience with a “Steve” was very uncomfortable and unprofessional. I wouldnever recommend this house to anyone. If your considering, consider other houses!

Comfortable and met our needs

We did enjoy our stay here and the set up was great for our needs. The beds were comfortable, kitchen basically stocked, bathrooms were also decent. The best part for us was the downstairs separate area. Traveling with grandchildren and our parents, it was great for our parents to have their own space away from the chaos! The home and furnishings are older but they were fine for us. Eating out on the balcony every morning and evening was wonderful. The fridge in the kitchen was large and newer, so there was ice & water in the door which was greatly appreciated. We wished there was a griddle as the frying pans available were awful for cooking as everything sticks! It was also nice to have a dishwasher too.

There was plenty of beach equipment, beach towels, bath towels, kitchen towels for our needs. There are snorkeling items to use as well as various water shoes if you should need any. there were even toys that our grandchildren enjoyed playing with! Another plus was 3 sets of washers & dryers that worked great. There are also 2 bikes outside but, we never used them.

This home is in walking distance to Shark's Cove so we didn't ever have a need to hunt for an open parking space. You are also close enough to some food trucks (though they are a little pricey) and a grocery store. We highly suggest you go to Costco even though it is about 35 minutes away as it was soooo much cheaper than Foodland grocery.

If there is a drawback, it would be the lack of air conditioning. We debated paying the extra amount to have units put in but thought we would take a chance and it was a little too warm on some of the days we were there, especially in the early evenings when we came home. Using the oven only made things worse. There are plenty of ceiling fans and a couple of floor fans that helped with all windows open for sleeping. If you are used to humidity, then you won't have a problem! The separate apt/room downstairs is equipped with a wall AC so our parents were more comfortable.

For the price, this rental was decent. Thanks to Steve the owner, who is quick to respond to emails when we had a question about the home.

Beyond Expectations!

Our family of 5 and 2 friends of our boys came here again in March 2017. We've been visiting the North Shore for 18 years and this has been by far the best vacation we've had! Being familiar with the North Shore helped so when we booked this rental we had some reservations. We typically prefer staying on Sunset Beach and have the last 8 times - however - this location was spectacular!

While in the kitchen you look out one window and see Shark's Cove - another window and see rocky shore with whales jumping far out - and yet another window beachy shore with awesome waves!!

Since we brought 4 teenagers the separate kitchenette/sleeping area downstairs was very nice. The boys got to sleep in without our interrupting and we got to sleep early when they played games or watched TV downstairs. They could also walk or bike to Foodland if they so desired.

I would recommend this house to either 2 small families or one large with lots of kids.

The owner of this property was very attentive to small issues. Well - of course they seemed big at one point but oh well~ Our oven did not work (who knows the last time anyone tried to use it!) and he had a rental stove there in 2 days! I also love to cook and for me there wasn't enough pots and pans. So guess what? The same day the stove was delivered (with us in Waikiki having fun) they also brought all new pots and pans and cooking utensils! Talk about service - we've never had an owner pay this much attention to renters.

So - I say "Awesome" place to rent and thanks Steve for one of our best vacations ever!!!!

Excellent location!!! Stunning views and close to a variety of locations

My friends and I rented this house for 4 days to have some time on North Shore. The location was amazing with the house right on the oceanfront with stunning views of the waves crashing in. The house is on a gated property so very secure. Walking distance to Foodland and a Coffee shop for a morning pick-me-up. Right next door to foodland is an array of foodtrucks with an immense variety of yummy food so you'll be spoilt for choice. Sharks cove is so close for snorkling, you can see it from the deck. The house is huge with plenty of room for everyone and has everything you need. Lots of towels, snorkling and beach gear and the most amazing washer/dryer to catch up on some washing. You even get wifi for your time at this location. Nothing went wrong while we were here and it was a very easy checkin-checkout experience. My friends had a blast at this house and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to experience the relaxed side to Oahu. The locals are extremely friendly and the view from the house is mesmerising. Couldnt fault the property at all :)

Perfect island location

Loved this property. On site gear to enjoy the water and beach, no need to rent or buy. Plenty of electronics with internet access and great TV and even movies if you need it. Clean, open and literally right on the coast. Snorkeled as much as we could handle and the beach to the east is a joke, literally seems fake. Out door shower to rinse so you don't have to track in all the sand each day, grill.....and the view from the back porch is amazing. The back porch made for one amazing standing desk and office when "work" had to be done. We have already discussed a trip back to this same location, when you find something so perfect why change it up? We did buy the AC as an addition and it was well worth it as they installed units in the home to be used in particular rooms. If you prefer sleeping in "cool" locations then I would say its a must. Other than in the bedrooms we didn't find much need for it as we were on the GO the remainder of the trip. Would suggest this place to anyone who desired a great stay on the North Shore.
