Amazing location, beautiful view

  • 5 of 5

We loved this house. The location on the North Shore was wonderful, very secluded and peaceful. The view from the deck is amazing. I did Yoga there each morning and then we would relax there again for the sunset. Mark Manley was so nice and accommodating, a wealth of information. We would stay here again

Absolutely perfect

  • 5 of 5

If you want to stay on the north shore away from the city ( which I highly recommend) you want to stay here. Mark and his family made us feel so welcome and helped with nurmous tips on where and where not to go, great restaurants, beaches and activities. The house is perfect and has more than we could have needed. The beach was almost empty every day! It was like a private beach in Hawaii!! The sunsets were breathtaking, the location is safe and around the corner from turtle bay and minutes to food trucks, fruit stands ,Haleiwa , and so much more. We had planned on doing more but ended up spending more time at home because we loved it there so much. My three teenagers loved Mark's dog, the snorkel gear, playing football and games he had inside and outside the house, quality family time . Memories fir a lifetime. I had friends and family message me while on vacation after seeing my photos on social media asking for all the info because they couldn't believe how perfect our place was!! I dream to come back one day.

Fantastic sunsets from the porch the beach or the yard! Turtles almost every day!

  • 5 of 5

We picked this place because we wanted to see beautiful sunsets while we where in Hawaii! What we found was a kind and thoughtful host family, The Manley's, A quiet secluded beach and a comfortable and accommodating home, and of course great Sunsets nightly!

This place is a long way from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki but still just an hour or so drive when you want to be in the city! It is minuets away from North Shore surfing or the Polynesian Culture Center. Golfing is just two minuets away at Turtle Bay.

If you are looking for a vacation that you can do a little bit of everything this is the place.

Lovely Get-Away Spot

  • 5 of 5

A comfortable property on Hawaii's North Shore. The owner, very friendly, helpful (and extremely sweet with children), lives a stone's throw away. The front yard, as described, abuts the sea-a beautiful view with iconic sunsets. Although the water can be rough, with rocky reefs, (unfamiliar to easterners!), there is a small lagoon too, good for young children (with a parent). More experienced folks can snorkel in and around the reefs. Just minutes away is a protected bay perfect for swimming. The house is well-equipped. I can't think of anything we wanted or needed that wasn't there. there were six of us, four adults and two young children - plenty of space for all of us. Thank you, Mark!!

The best vacation house in Oahu!

  • 5 of 5

This house is absolutely perfect! Right on the ocean with its own beach. The kids spent hours swimming in the ocean - there is a sandy spot amidst all the rocks and the reef is great for snorkeling and exploring sea life. There were some really huge waves on the north shore this time of year, but the reefs here give you some protection so you can still swim or body surf with young children. We came with a group of six from Seattle (older kids - ages 16-24), and we had a blast here. You go to sleep every night to the sounds of the ocean and the waves rolling in. Mark is a great host and was really helpful the whole time. We had planned some activities in Oahu that we just didn't get around to because all the kids wanted to do was hang out here on the beach! We even got a visit from a couple of sea turtles (bring a go-pro with an underwater housing...lots to take video of!). Also, Mark loaned us a couple of bikes, which we rode up to Turtle Bay resort and to the fruit stand along Kam Highway - both just a short distance away. Bring your golf clubs because even if you don't have time to play a full round, Turtle Bay has a driving range and a couple of amazing restaurants as well. Great to have them so close.

In summary, this was far and away the best family vacation we've ever had and the best place to stay on the Island. Thanks, Mark, for your hospitality and we hope to come back in the near future! Aloha and Mahalo
