This great home has 4 bedrooms - 2 queen, 1 king, and 1 twin, plus a sofa sleeper. This newly renovated home has all new appliances and granite, and both bathrooms are completely new with tile and marble. There is a wonderful screened in porch facing the lake with spectacular, unimpeded views of the water and wildlife. You will love having your morning coffee there and watching the sunrise. The kitchen and living room area is one big open space and is designed for large families. Beneath the screened porch is a patio with a porch swing and outdoor furniture. There are plenty of floats and various sizes of life jackets for enjoying the water, and there is a ping pong table, 2nd bath, and washer/dryer downstairs. There are also 2 kayaks for guests to enjoy.

We are semi-retired Christian couple with four grown sons, seven grandchildren, and one more on the way! We moved back to NC in 2015 after being in MD for 12 years on a work assignment. Our home is in Lexington, NC. We own and operate a tree farm on our NC property that grows privacy screen trees. Our lake home is just 30 minutes away.
Brenda Dianne Watterson purchased this house in 2015
One thing we really love about this property is the gentle slope to the water. We did not want a lot of steps to walk to get to the water. Another thing we love is that this home is a rancher style. Houses in the Lake Forest area are not jammed on top of each other like in other areas of the lake, so we liked the size of the lot. The property is very close to a marina that has pontoon rentals, and there is a place to rent kayaks nearby as well.
We both love to fish and enjoy the water, but as we still both work, we decided to share our lovely home with others who would enjoy it like we do. When we started looking for a lake home, we settled on this property, primarily because we love Badin Lake for its superior water quality and beauty. The house needed updating, and we are glad to be finished with all the hard work involved in making this a comfortable and lovely property.
We had a great time at the Watterson's home over Memorial Weekend. This is a great home that has everything you could possibly need. Nice updated and fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms with a great open living space. The bedrooms were nice and were a good size.
They were each equipped with luggage racks and drying racks (which made it nice not having everyone's towels and bathing suits all hanging in the bathroom) The screened in porch was very nice with plenty of seating and was a great hangout place in the evenings. The dock was in great shape and had plenty of buoys and anchors for tying off our boat. We even caught some nice bass off the dock. Although we didn't use them, there were lots of games and water sports equipment available for use. Overall this was a wonderful place to stay and we will be booking our next trip soon. The Wattersons are great people and are very easy to work with. They go above and beyond to make sure everyone has a great vacation.
Just what we needed it, to find some peace and quiet with a little fishing on the side. Very nice accommodations and wonderful views. I highly recommend this vacation spot and the owns were over the top nice and friendly!
Our group enjoyed our time at your lovely home. We especially enjoyed the porch and view! It was very nice! The one thing that surprised us was the fact that the second bathroom is not accessible via the inside of the house. It worked out and wasn't a problem but was just surprised when we got there.
Great lakefront home. Spacious living area, nice kitchen and great screened porch. 4 bedrooms and 2 baths suited our 2 families fine for a long weekend. Great dock and ping pong in the basement!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this Badin Lake home. Had everything we needed and more, including a nice pier where we docked our pontoon boat, and enjoyed the fishing. Loved the large great room with kitchen, dining and living area. The owners were a pleasure to do business with. Would definitely rent this home again.
Nice well maintained lake home. More than met our families needs.
The Asheboro Zoo, which has the largest natural habitat in the US, is a short 40 minute drive. There is great shopping at the Concord Mall, which is about 40 minutes away.
