Enjoyed this clean, cozy cottage! Beautiful and quiet setting. Hosts were welcoming and hospitable! Overall a great experience. House was a little musty.

Thanks for your nice words . The house was built in the 1940s and we have had a lot of rain . Sorry it seemed a little musty . I have started the dehumidifier and hope that resolves the situation. Hope you visit with us again in the future.

This was a great little place to stay during our girls’ trip to meet up and see some sights and wineries. Pros: lots of space, convenient location, beds were comfy, and the host was very easy to communicate with and even left us some bagels, turnovers, and wine to get us started. So kind! Oh and also the pet kitty that comes with your stay. Always outside to greet us at the door and so sweet!Cons: Biggest con is the permeating moldy/musty smell throughout the home. It’s pretty bad. Owners may need to rip out the carpets or something but it needs some remediation. Kitchen is quite dated as well so it’s not somewhere you will be doing much cooking. Downstairs bath has a shower head that is build for someone under 5 ft tall. Place could use some love.

Thanks for your kind words and recommendations . The house was built in the 1040s. It is a galley kitchen and was built for the builder’s mother in law in the 40s. We have the deep cleaning scheduled but the rain has kept us from completing the tasks . We also try to keep the dehumidifier running between guests . We appreciate your honesty and hope it didn’t make your stay uncomfortable .

We love our weekend stay in the dollhouse for a wedding event. It was clean, cozy and we were able to bring our Maltese.The owner helped us with a few restaurants and left us a welcome bottle of wine.We highly recommend this VRBO in the quaint little town of Elkin, NC.

Nice home on quiet street in Elkin. The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. Check in process was very easy. Home had lots of comfortable furniture and I would book it again.

Easy walk to downtown and hiking trail. Hosts were very responsive when needed. Lots of wineries and beautiful beer garden. Also some very good restaurants. Countryside around Elkin is beautiful. Omegia and Jeff are very friendly hosts and care about their guests.

Great stay! The hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Beds were comfortable, amenties as described. The cottage is located in close proximity to the owners house and I felt very safe the entire time. I would certainly stay at The Dollhouse again!
