Casa Fontelunga is a lovely country house in an enchanted hillside location.
Privacy and quietness are the main features of this accommodation, left intact in the original style, renovated in a warm and welcoming atmosphere and a very romantic look.
It is easy to get to and from the center of the area. You can only reach a few minutes drive. Still you will be the sensation of being immersed in the quietness of the typical Tuscan countryside.
The 3 level garden faces the sunset and the swimming pool has view on the valley underneath. The typical Tuscan country style has been preserved and is also closed to main Umbrian city like Perugia, Orvieto, the Trasimeno lake.

Mother Donatella will expose you Tuscan country tradition and will use ingredients coming from our farm

A beautiful place to relax

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Fontelunga. The garden and the view are amazing. The house is quite simply and clean. Michele is very accommodating and a pleasant host. We would absolutely come back again and can definitively recommend this beautiful place.

This was perfect for us. The only feedback is the inside pictures are a bit different than reality. But don’t let that worry you. The kitchen is well equipped, the pool is crystal clear and clean and refreshing. The host was amazing! Don’t forget to feed the cats. You can buy cat food for less than a euro at Conad, the grocery store.

Lovey Villa in the Tuscan countryside.

Very thoughtfully restored old Villa just minutes from Cortona . The house and grounds are exactly as pictured. The very private road that leads there is a bit rough and seems very remote at first but after you venture out once you see that every convenience is minuets away and beautiful Cortona as well. A car is a good idea if you plan to go around Tuscany. 2 trains in town go everywhere but it helps to get to train and town with a car. The host is very responsive and hands on.

We chose this property to experience an iconic Tuscan home, and it delivered! Rustic is an understatement, the house is very old, but it was charming, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The pool was lovely, as were the views, and we loved the local dining, grocery store, and the village of Cortona. Also I should mention how quiet and private it is. Lots of stairs (it's three levels), so keep that in mind when booking!

Tolle Lage mit kleinen Abstrichen

Insgesamt war es ein toller Aufenthalt mit einem Manko. 5 Meter vom Außensitzplatz ist ein sehr schöner kleiner Gartenteich durch den die Stechmückenbelastung recht hoch war, sodass wir abends dann eher am Pool saßen, weil es dort nicht ganz so viele Mücken gab. An den Fenstern zum Glück Mückengitter.Netter Kontakt zum Besitzer Michele, der viele Tipps für Ausflüge und Restaurants für die Gäste bereit hält.

A week of quiet beauty

We have just returned from a wonderful stay in Tuscany. Our first week was spent at this home. Although the pool was closed for the season we enjoyed walks up the mountain behind the villa and prepared meals in the kitchen which was adequately equipped for every need. The house was very clean and spacious and Michele Catoni ,our host, was gracious, swift and helpful when we had specific needs. We also enjoyed an evening in cooking class with Donatella , his talented mother. Delicious! Cortona is within an easy drive to several towns, so this villa was the perfect location for day trips.

Nice Pool and Lovely Setting

The setting is lovely and the pool and the pool area are fantastic. The house is nice and is well-equipped in terms of crockery, cutlery and saucepans.The furnishings are a bit basic - it could do with proper armchairs or sofas (there is just a fold out bed and a canvas chair). The bedroom on the top floor is at the top of an open staircase. The nearest shop - which has everything you need - is a 5 minute drive and there is a restaurant which you can easily walk to in about 20 minutes. My children strongly recommend the gelateria in the Via Nazionale in Cortona - a short way up on the right as you walk up from the Piazza Garibaldi. The owner, who is very pleasant and helpful, wanted us to pay in cash but didn't tell us until the day before we left. We had a fantastic holiday - I would recommend this property for the pool, the setting and the terrace.
