Vicopisano holiday lettings

This is such a beautiful apartment inside the walls of Lucca. It is a beautiful building, incredibly spacious inside, very well equipped and with a lovely roof terrace. Very quick walk to the key sights and the walls and lovely bars, shops and restaurants. Couldn’t be better, and we would definitely stay again if we were visiting Lucca.

Charming prison-themed apartment! Fortunately the prison has aircon, hob and swimming pool, so no hardship. Vicopisano is lovely without being overdeveloped.

We spent an amazing 2 weeks this summer at Casa Bianca. The property was clean, modern and had a lovely swimming pool which was cleaned every day by Luca and we spent most of our time in there as it was very hot during our visit. Marica and Luca were great hosts and were always available if we had any questions, especially booking us some of the amazing local restaurants. The property is a 10 minute drive from the Coop supermarket and also close to beautiful villages such as San Miniato and Palaia, which both had some great restaurants to eat out. We were also able to drive to the beach for the day and it’s also possible to catch a train to both Pisa and Florence. I would recommend this property to anyone and we are planning to go back again! Elisa and her family have a beautiful apartment for you to stay in, set in a gorgeous garden with a private outdoor area, table and chairs (parasol for shade) and charcoal BBQ at your disposal. The space is accessed via steps outside, you enter a large kitchen/dining area which is lovely and cool, with everything you need. The bathroom is also large with a nice shower, and the bedroom is also perfect and cool with a large bed. Elisa has been the perfect host from the very first email communication, and during our stay she was on hand to provide invaluable advice (for example where to park to get the tram into Florence - just 1 Euro for the day!). I have nothing negative to say at all - this is a 5* review!

We were a family of 6 with grandparents and two children. The apartment is beautiful, spacious with fantastic views and sunny balconies. Cristiano (who stays across the landing) was very helpful. Can highly recommend, you will not be disappointed.

Amazing apartment with a lovely Tuscan vibe. Marie and Lorenzo were so welcoming and ready to help with any question or request we had. The town itself is gorgeous and perfect if you're looking for a hidden gem tucked away in the Italian mountains. Incredibly affordable and really easy to get to via public transport, ideal for mid twenties city dwellers looking for a retreat away from the hustle and bustle of life in the big smoke.

Roberta, Francesca and Giovanni were fabulous and attentive hosts. From before we arrived Roberta was in contact to make sure we would have everything we needed. Then Francesca and Giovanni were there when we arrived with a warm welcome and we’re reassuringly on hand should we have needed anything. Nothing was too much trouble. You really are made to feel like you have a friend on the end if the line to help should you need it. The apartment is gorgeous and beautifully furnished with everything you need for your stay. It lives up to its name with the beautiful view from the window! Upon arrival there is a fantastic welcome pack with wine, tea, coffee etc, pasta and sauce for making your 1st meal and a generous selection of fruit (I especially enjoyed the peaches!). There is also basics for cooking such as oil, salt and pepper, few spices, garlic etc all ready and waiting. Vicopisano itself is wonderful. Lots to see locally with bars, bakery, small supermarket, ice cream parlour and restaurants. All making you feel welcome. Great pizza and Calzone from Le Belle Torri. A tour around the fortress is a must. You are also only a short drive away from Pisa, Lucca, Florence and many other places. There are very useful information folders in the apartment with details of loads of places to visit. If you go to Florence, we recommend driving to Villa Constanza and then getting the tram into Florence itself. You are also only a short drive to the sea and there are some very nice, family beaches at Marina Di Vecchiano. It was quite busy in some areas but still just lovely. L'Osteria del Parco Restaurant there has fantastic seafood and friendly service with Frank Sinatra playing the background. Highly recommended! Visit the local olive farm in Vicopisano for delicious oil, red wine and kiwi liqueur! Overall, we had an amazing week in Vicopisano at Casa Belle Vista. This apartment is ideally situated just a pleasant walk to the centre of the beautiful town of Lucca and very close to the train station. The town itself is wonderful and full of interest and a great walk round the city walls. Its easy to catch a train to Pisa, Florence or connect to other places in Tuscany and beyond. The hosts are very helpful and the apartment was very well presented with lovely neighbours. Would definitely visit again.
