Loved the cottage and its location, Alnwick only 10 mins away, the local pub which is on your door step was amazing, fantastic food, would recommend. Diana came and said hello, which was a nice touch, socially distanced of course!! Lovely coastal walks nearby and for any golfers out there, fill your boots. Thanks for the logs for the log burner, lovely gesture, especially in October. Would highly recommend this cottage, kids loved playing hide and seek and will look to return in the future (if we get out of lockdown )

Our family of 4 had a fantastic 2 weeks in Bumble Cottage.
Our family of 4 had a fantastic 2 weeks in Bumble Cottage. The quiet village location is close enough to access a wide range of the Northumberland beaches, and well located for seeing most of the historic sites and places of interest in the area. Excellent walks nearby meant even when Covid restricted access to places we wanted to see, we had plenty to do and enjoy. Alnwick just a few miles away was big enough to have larger supermarkets and access to amenities, and when we could get a booking, the Cook and Barker restaurant / pub just down the road served truly excellent food.
The cottage itself was extremely well maintained, and the owner, Diana Wilson, stopped by the day after we arrived to say hello and check we had everything we needed. The aga took a little getting used to, but the photos don't do justice to the size of the main area - the space is noticeably larger than we were expecting, and with the conservatory area had plenty of space for both boys and adults to do what we wanted.
All in all, a very enjoyable stay, and thoroughly recommended for small families.
